Another lovely visit to a cosy and comfortable cottage.

Having a pretty garden is an added bonus, we are already planning our next visit.

We are still here for our second week so will review after this

Just the most wonderful home from home.

We genuinely love this cottage. Everything was perfect. We were so warm despite it being a very stormy week. The furniture is comfortable and we couldn’t have enjoyed it more. The only thing I would recommend is maybe a bit of TLC needed in the shower and also a new bathmat. This never detracted from our wonderful week though. Thank you. We love this cottage and have already re-booked for 2026.

This was our fourth visit to this cottage, feels like home from home.

Cosy,clean and comfortable plus brilliant location for exploring Snowdonia but great locally if your a walker or just want to relax.

. very welcoming and cosy equipped with everything you will need….. the garden and seating area is very secure …. Loved our stay that much that wehave booked booked another two weeks next year … thankyou hey girl you can put done

The cottage is really nice it’s also in a lovely location.

The only small complaint was there wasn’t any oven gloves getting food out of the oven with the tiny tea towel was dangerous we nearly dropped it on he floor, apart from that I would definitely recommend it and stay again myself

Lovely little cottage in a good location.

Was adequate for our needs. Shrubbery at front could be clipped back for bin access and perhaps a little TLC with furnishings. Overall though quite happy and met expectations.

A cosy and relaxing cottage with the advantage of a sunny garden.

The location, within walking distance of the sea and many places to eat make it an ideal holiday spot.

The Cottage is fabulous and so comfortable.

The Dimplex fire was not working but this wasn’t an issue as the cottage was wonderfully warm due to the central heating. However, the flame effect would have been a cosy addition in the evenings. Everything was wonderful and a pint of milk in the fridge plus salt pepper and other condiments were a lovely welcome suprise.

Cottage is small and cosy with everything you need.

Comfortable beds and great shower. Large secure back garden which would be great if we’d had better weather. Great location in centre of Criccieth with shops, pubs and beach alll nearby. Definitely recommend Only change I’d suggest is for the owner to leave their mobile tel no. We had a slight delay contacting him as there was only a landline no. available.

We had a lovely holiday the cottage was warm and cosy and clean .

I could not find the torch which was stated to be under the stairs.But we love this cottage and have booked to come back again next year.

We have just returned from a fantastic week at Y Bwthyn.

On arrival we found the cottage spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. It looks tiny on the outside but was actually quite spacious. The garden was a bonus, very secure and private and we enjoyed watching the birds watching us dining outside! Criccieth is a really quiet, quaint little seaside town and the cottage was a very short stroll from the beach. Would highly recommend a stay here as it is a great base to explore the whole of the Llyn Peninsula. Would definitely return. Thank you.

A lovely warm and cosy cottage with tastefully furnished rooms and a pretty garden to relax in.

Lovely cottage, well equipped and furnished, very clean.

My only gripe with it was with the heating; there was no way to control the temperature and it was generally a bit chilly. The heater in the lounge is a fan heater and not adequate as it dried the air and made the place stuffy.

Excellent situation for exploring north Wales.

Lovely cottage our second time staying there as we liked it so much before. Brilliant area for those who want to travel around or those who prefer to stay local.

Lovely little cottage with secure garden.

Could do with another baking tray/ dish in the kitchen. Other wise very well fitted out. People should be aware that each bedroom has very low beams, and the stairs are steep and very narrow at the top. Lovely to be so near the beach, but parking could be a problem between April and September because of restrictions during the day. Out of season it was perfect.

This cottage is in an excellent location for all local and further afield attractions.

It is a lovely cottage most comfortable and cleanliness of a high standard. The garden is brilliant for both children and pets. i would rate this cottage highly and we have every intention of booking it again.

Just back from our third visit to the cottage.

We feel like we are “home” from the minute we walk in. Comfortable, warm, cosy and well located and equipped. We love staying here.

Very cosy and comfortable. Everything there that you need. Very clean. Close to amenities and not far from other resorts. Good WiFi service though it does say on first page WiFi - No, so it may put some people off but the WiFi was excellent. Could not get fire to work, though it wasn't too cold when we went. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ty Bwthyn.

It's in a great location, comfortable and clean. We visit Criccieth regularly and this was one of the best places we've stayed in. Just one suggestion would be for more hooks around the place for hanging coats and other clothing.

The cottage was a pleasure to spend a week in.

Pretty and cosy, we wanted for nothing. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous cottage.

Great facilities. Ideal location , cafes, restaurants, beach, shops, castle right on the doorstep. No problems parking nearby. Kitchen had everything we needed. Comfortable beds. Lovely bathroom. Kind of cottage you want to live in. There is a nice garden at the back, those with toddlers will need to watch as the top tier has a drop without a protective barrier apart from flower pots. I would definitely stay there again it’s beautiful. Criccieth is one of our favourite places.

This cottage was the perfect Christmas get away for us.

It was so cosy and had everything we needed. The little touch of leaving us a Christmas card so sweet. I wish I was still there!

This was a lovely warm and cosy place to stay near to all facilities it was very homely so will be looking forward to staying there again

It was our second visit to the property and we have also booked again for next year. It’s a real cosy home away from home, it is in a great location for the town and the beach. The cottage is clean and comfortable. We love staying here.

A lovely character cottage in a great location.

Didn't get a chance to use the cute garden, but it looks nice too. Parking very nearby was no issue during our stay. To raise this to perfect for us would be simple. Provide better quality loo paper and sharpen the kitchen knives. The Spice Bank and Dylan's provide great food just a short stroll away. I would definitely recommend this cottage.

The cottage is very cosy and warm.

The kitchen equipment could do with a few additions, a bigger saucepan a bigger casserole dish with lid and a non stick frying pan with lid. Apart from this it is a well equipped cottage in an excellent location. We had a really enjoyable week and hopefully we will have a return visit in the near future.

We had everything we needed and and it was very warm and comfortable. Beautiful fireplace and loved the layout of the kitchen and living area downstairs. We were very sorry to leave when we had to, it felt like a home away from home. Fantastic location too. Will definitely be coming back.

Generally the cottage was very good, with the following exceptions I feel need to be addressed for future occupants:- 1.

Fire didn't work and we had to phone contact number to send a person to repair it. 2. washing machine didn't work. 1 and 2 should have been checked before we arrived, and others arrive in the future. 3. Not enough cooking gear. eg. no large casserole-type dishes. 4. Inadequate clothes storage in bedrooms. The only large cupboard in twin-bedded room was full of bed clothes. Please act on this feedback..

We had a wonderful time in Criccieth in this beautiful cottage!

Our children (4 and 8) absolutely loved it and having the beach so close was a massive bonus! Will definitely be coming back and would thoroughly recommend it to others!

We've just had a wonderful long weekend at Y Bwthyn in Criecceith.

Everything was perfect - what a cosy warm and delightful cottage right in the heart of Criecceith. We already have friends who are already looking to book based on our recommendation!

The cottage was great - as per our expectations - and we had the very peaceful holiday we wanted.

The only slight downside was that there was no remote control for the DVD player so we couldn’t watch the box set we’d brought with us. This was just a very minor annoyance in the context of a very enjoyable week. Thanks C.

We have stayed at this beautiful traditional cottage many times and continue to book.

We are a family of 4, we have 2 boys aged 6 & 9. We all throroughly enjoy our stays at Y Bwythyn. The cottage itself is full of character and history. Perfectly positioned for exploring North wales especially with Cadwaladers Ice cream shop at the end of the road and Criccieth beach and Castle a stroll away! Many restaurants to visit too including Dylans position right on the sea front and The Poachers on the high st just a short walk away. Perfect all day breakfast at Swyn Y Mor just 2 mins walk from the cottage! All in all after visiting Criccieth and staying in many cottages over the past 22yrs we have found our home from home.

Cottage had everything we needed.

This cottage more than met our needs.

Clean, comfortable and in a perfect position within the village. We will defiantly be coming back again soon.

The cottage was lovely unfortunately my husband is 6 foot 4 and kept banging his head on the door frames upstairs.

Also the stairs where very narrow and steep. Not suitable for children or the elderly. We had a very relaxing holiday. The cottage is close to shops and cafes and the beach.

Very well situated cottage.

The peaceful sunny garden was a bonus. Beware of low beams upstairs if you are tall! Criccieth is a lovely town with all amenities.

Super cottage - very comfortable and well equipped with a good atmosphere.

The private garden was a real bonus. Perfectly placed in Criccieth, and exploring further afield was very easy. Would not hesitate in recommending this cottage, although it is worth mentioning the low beams in both bedrooms. As it turned out this was not a problem for us, but if you're on the tall side it could be!

When we arrived the cottage was abit dusty and most of the crockery and utensils needed rewashing.

The cheese grater, saucepans, frying pan and baking trays all had food stuck to them from previous use. Otherwise the cottage served the purpose of our holiday and the kids loved their holiday there and were sad to be leaving the cottage.

Beautiful cottage in a good spot - it was just as advertised.

The enclosed garden was great for the dog. The cottage had everything we needed - except a hair drier.
