  • "Equipment and comfort in apartment 3 is to a very high standard."

No expense has been spared. The only issue is access consists of two flights of stairs and carrying ones luggage or if elderly/disabled it can be an issue.

  • "Close proximity to the beach and castle."

Great size for 4 people. Kitchen had everything we needed. Plus it was lovely and warm too. We didn't like was the ladder on the bunk bed. My son said it was very uncomfortable to climb; also it is very short so you have to jump down from quite high up. Also, the small bedroom lacked storage - the toy chest does not equate to a chest of drawers plus it was broken. This room definitely needs new storage as we were unable to unpack our small cases.

  • "Been to North Wales lots of times over the years, but never managed to make it to Criccieth; what a lovely little town."

Will definitely go back some time. The apartment was well equipped and beautifully situated just a couple of minutes walk to Marine Beach and a short stroll to Criccieth Castle, which is also visible from the bedroom window and kitchen. Chip shop, pubs and the local shop just a 10 minute walk away and a nice coastal walk on offer if you head in the opposite direction. The accommodation is well presented and cosy - the kids loved it, but the weather was pretty kind to us! Only thing I would add is that out of main holiday season everything shuts down for a couple of hours between 2pm and 5pm so if you are planning eating out factor that in to your agenda. Also the cashpoint seems to be permanently broken - you can get cash as the Post Office if all else fails.

The location was very suitable for us as a base to explore North Wales, and within Criccieth itself with the beach at the end of the road, and just around the corner from the castle. The owners were very attentive and approachable, happy to help out with any questions or issues we might have had (we didn't have any).

  • "Great location, less than a minute away form the beach and a leisurely 5 minute walk from gorgeous Criccieth Castle."

Perfect for Snowdon, Portmerion, Llyn Peninsula. Flat was clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. Looking at past reviews, the flat now has a cheese grater and the mattresses were spring, not memory foam (shame, really - MF rules but it is divisive...). They obviously act upon reviews and are constantly improving, which is great. So here is one for you guys: there was no soap in the bathroom or kitchen and only half a toilet roll. Luckily we'd brought both but generally we'd find these included in the 'basics' from AirBnB and Booking. The other thing is that a prior tenant has completely destroyed the wok, which was rendered unusable (got pics if you want me to send them to you), which meant there was no non-stick pan of any kind (hard to fry anything without these). Let me reiterate that the above weren't big things/obstacles and would definitely and highly recommend the place.

Fantastic location, only a few minutes walk from the beach, castle, eateries and shops. Larger supermarkets can also be found just 10 minutes drive away in Porthmadog. The apartment was spotlessly clean, felt welcoming and was very well equipped with full sized fridge freezer and cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer and ample cooking equipment. The owners have clearly thought of everything and it was a real home from home. Thank you for a fantastic week.
