A lovely cottage with the most amazing view.

It is worth the slightly tricky drive to it - either a shorter 1 in 6 narrow twisty road or a longer narrow but less steep road. Fortunately not many people daft enough to drive the road so we didn't meet much other traffic. Lovely peaceful setting with just the sheep and cows for neighbours. It was rather windy one evening (so windy the picnic table blew over) and the big picture glass window in the sitting room flexes rather alarmingly! There were some dog hairs on the floor of the sitting room and the bath could have been cleaner so I've marked you down a bit for facilities and maintenance. Plus the washing machine had a foul smelling puddle of water in the drum so didn't fancy using that. A book case or something similar in the sitting room would be a good idea as the DVDs, books and leaflets were rather untidy. A couple of lambs managed to squeeze through the fence into the drive a couple of times as the fence and gate needs some maintenance. We propped some slats up with rocks to try to block their entrance which seemed to work.

Absolutely gorgeous cottage we loved it, a cold January booking but the perfect to place to be for a cozy break we would definitely return.

We really enjoyed watching the mountain sheep traversing the rocks id go back just for that.

This was our second time at Beudy Cefn and it was perfect!

We love this location as it's close to the coast and mountains. The house was perfect and the view completely wonderful. We'll be back again i'm sure!!

We had a great stay.

Beautiful landscape setting and amazing view from the livingroom. Great spot to visit Snowdonia and coastline north wales. Good wifi, kitchen equipment and loads of dvds. Cottage is good taken care off. Buy enough logs if you visit in winter. We had difficulties with warming the place. Wood burner works very well though you need to buy the wood logs yourself. Very tastefull water from own source. System started to clean in the middle of the night which caused a lot of noice straight above the bedroom. Also boiler starts heating early in the morning, around 6, which can wake you up.

This is now our third stay at this truly wonderful property.

The peace and quiet is beyond fantastic and the views are absolutely stunning whatever the weather. We cannot wait to visit again soon. Thank you x

A fab short break in a beautiful location.

Beudy Cefn, for the price we paid, was everything we expected and more. We had a lovely time and will be back for sure another time.

Fabulous location, fabulous views.

The property itself was previously a cow shed and has been converted to a high standard. That said, we had a couple of hiccups that required contact with the landlord via the Sykes app. These were remedied during our stay and the response was good from the landlord. The location is isolated (which is part of the reason we booked it) and one way of access is via a 1:6 hill which is worth noting if you have a heavily laden car with a small engine. The wifi in the house can be sporadic so also worth downloading maps whilst in signal range/making sure you have an atlas or roadmap. The boiler can be a bit noisy at times. The property itself is well kitted out, spacious and the view from the living room is stunning. We were fortunate to have mostly good weather whilst there and it was lovely to be able to sit out with morning coffee and soak it all in, including the buzzards and ravens over the mountains on one side and the smaller birds in the trees at the side and back of the property.

Lovely property in a spectacular location, if you like peace and quiet than this is the place for you.

We had an absolutely lovely time , the views are to die for and the isolation is what we craved as we live in a busy town.

The cottage is well equipped and cosy and clean. All of north wales is easily accessable once on the main road which is only a 3 mile drive from the property. The sheep in the field next door provide plenty of entertainment and the kites are an added bonus. This was the only holiday we have had which we really did not want to leave. The only bit of advice I would give to future customers is to drive in from the Caernarfon way as the Prenteg route is very steep and single track.

beautiful views, lovely house, but no sponge and nothing to wash dishes with, a dish-washer but only one washing tablet.

A sponge and washing up liquid would have been noce!

Beautiful house in a lovely location with stunning views.

We had an issue on the first morning when we were awoken early by a very loud boiler but we messaged the owner who told us how to turn it off. The cottage was really well furnished and equipped- we had a few minor niggles, there was no hand soap available in either bathroom and the smoke alarm in the main bedroom had been disabled, looking at the ceiling, presumably because said boiler had leaked at some point! Still we had a great holiday

The wow factor is very high when you enter the living room with its fantastic view.

The house is very clean and very cozy. Apart from the morning noises from the heating, it was a totally perfect week. The many sheep right outside the front door were a constant delight. Thank you for sharing this little paradise with us.

Superb views from the property, close to walks and not far from amenities at Porthmadog.

Property is absolutely awesome, in stunning surroundings, so impressed we have already booked to return in a few weeks.

Beautiful cottage in an amazing location.

Walks straight from the door and beaches nearby too. Everything you need to stay detached from the world if you want to but only 15 mins from shops if you need them.

We had a perfect stay.

The cottage has great accommodation and facilities, great location and the view from the living room is remarkable.

Had a truly wonderful time, has everything we needed clean, warm ,peaceful, great walks, great views.

Only downside I should think is in the winter months with ice and snow would be difficult to access property unless you have a 4x4. But overall would certainly recommend.

Amazing place to stay, all amenities you need.

Comfortable, fantastic views when it’s a clear day/night. Star gazing was a nice surprise on a very clear night, no light pollution or noise is great for relaxation. We had 2 dogs with us and respected the instructions to keep them on a lead due to surrounding sheep and cattle further along. The dogs loved the area too. The track to drive up to the property was not clear when we booked but the instruction to get there on the day were very clear to understand and after the initial concern driving up the winding road and track over several cattle grids surrounded by sheep we got used to it and found it very pleasant and easily navigated. We felt we were in our own piece of paradise away from the world when we got to the top, but not too far away from what we might need like shops, restaurants, takeaways etc. Not too far to get to a beautiful beach or castle, places to explore like Beddgelert, Betws y coed, Slate Mines, Zip World, Criccieth, Harlech, Llyn Peninsular, and much more We will definitely book again.

Lovely stay but we did note a couple of potential issues and some areas which could do with a refresh.

The grill ring in the oven was hanging on by 2 screws and will need fixing. The washer/dryer probably needs replacing. We had an issue on the very last day washing a sheet where the door refused to open. We followed the manual and eventually called Sykes who sent a chap round to get it open. In the end he had to force the lock. This appears to be a known issue with this particular model judging by the same query appearing many times online and even the manual stating to call a technician if this happens. I have to say though Sykes were absolutely brilliant sorting this out though. Really well organised and got someone out later in the same afternoon. Can't fault them for that. The bathroom probably needs a bit of a tidy up - new sealant and a tap was loose on the sink. Nothing bad though as its certainly better kitted out than some hotels we've stayed in! The leather chair in the living room has also seen better days. The location is brilliant though. Sadly this was probably our two dog's last holidays as they are very old now (14). Hopefully we will return with two younger and fitter dogs so we can give the area a proper exploration!

A lovely cottage spoiled by the property being a little tired and overdue a revamp with damp patches on the wall on the ground floor bedrooms.

Whilst generally clean, the cooker wasn’t and needed a clean before use. Access is via a gate that is very difficult to double latch and is needed due to farm animals on the lane. Lastly whilst the property is enclosed for pets there is only a gravelled area for exercise.. not too good for elderly dogs. A little more attention to minor but nonetheless holiday making details would make a huge difference.

More outdoor seating would be nice to make use of the views and weather, especially as the place can sleep 6.

Was a lovely stay all round and would recommend to others

We had a fantastic stay in Beudy Cefn and was amazed by the fabulous views - not one day had the same view!

The place is perfect and had everything we needed for our week long stay.

Absolutely stunning place, We will be returning regular.

Had a fabulous few days at this very spacious and comfortable cottage with lots of parking space , well fenced and ideal for our two Labs.

Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen and the most wonderful views over the estuary and mountains , ideal if you like to be surrounded by countryside but not far away from Porthmadog . Looking to book again Julie
