  • "The overall cleanliness was good, however the conservatory was really dirty with cobwebs and needs a thorough clean inside and out."

There is dirt along the side of the settee which appears to have built up for months. Whilst the settees look nice they are very uncomfortable when staying for a week. The house overall is great, location and views were amazing.

Thanks so much for your feedback, we are very glad you enjoyed the beautiful views and were happy with the overall cleanliness. Thank you for the specific comments about the conservatory and the back of the sofas, we will get the cleaners right onto that and make sure it doesn't reoccur. Mark Property Owner

  • "We throughly enjoyed our short family break at Bryn Awel, just after lockdown in Wales was lifted."

What a surprise when we opened the front door to find an amazingly spacious house! All the rooms are sizeable and the view over to the islands is fantastic, especially from the Juliet balcony. We appreciated all the bath/shower rooms (3!!), the comfortable beds and the range if equipment (especially the dishwasher!) It was a bit too warm to light the log log burner but perhaps next time!"

  • "What a lovely comfortable week at Bryn Awel!"

The small neat frontage belied the Tardis-like spaciousness of the accommodation. The kitchen and the garden (equipped with barbecue and decked seating) have a lovely view of St. Tudwal’s islands with only fields between the cottage and the sea. The view from the master bedroom adds another 180 degrees and is consequently spectacular. We were impressed by the thought given to equipping this holiday home from home. The kitchen has everything from pizza wheels and wine stoppers to a potato masher and colander. Cling film, foil and dishwasher tablets were just some of the items supplied. The three bath/shower rooms meant that it felt safe and private for a group of friends. Each was supplied with good quality handwash and sanitizer was distributed around the cottage. In the bedrooms there was a choice of duvets in different tog values and good quality bedlinen. We found it in easy reach of many lovely beaches ( see the engaging local photographs on the walls for ideas), National Trust sites and food outlets from fine dining restaurants to takeaways. We would thoroughly recommend a holiday at Bryn Awel and hope to visit again, soon"

About the location

ABERSOCH

Pwllheli 6 miles.

The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.
