Captain's Rest

Lovely stay at Captains Rest and fantastic view from the living room over the harbour to Snowdonia.

Watching the steam trains travel along the cob whilst eating breakfast or having a cuppa on the balcony was also a highlight of the stay. Accommodation was clean and well equipped with plenty of towels and a great welcome pack. The access via stairs and a very heavy fire door was a down point but the view made up for it. We found nearby on street parking no problem but we stayed out of season may be more difficult in the Summer.

a roomy flat with amazing views over the valley and mountains, within walking distance of shops and restaurants which are of good value.

The staircases are not for the faint hearted though, they are steep and you need some muscle to open the front door. The water pressure is rather low and it takes some time to get warm. The toilet is downstairs so if you need to get up often in the night it's a challenge. But on the whole it is comfortable and there is everything you need. On street is usually available.

This door is not so easy to open if you are carrying anything. View from the balcony is stunning as you are overlooking the harbour and the railway station.

Very spacious apartment.

Kitchen very well equipped. Stunning view from balcony. Easy to park and great location. Hand soap in the bathroom would have been good, and most places we’ve stayed would normally provide this.
