  • "Beautiful cottage inside and out."

Outstanding views, everything you need is here. Home from home. So peaceful and relaxing. Not too far from main attractions. The only sound you hear is birds singing. We had Beautiful weather. Comfy beds, ensuits for all bedrooms. There was a separate utility room. Would recommend to friends and family.

I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. Hope to see you again soon! Property Owner

  • "What a fantastic house with lovely views in a stunning valley, however the driveway is a bit tricky to negotiate."

Near to Chirk and Llangollen and it's local attractions (don't recommend the back road though) Some lovely pubs nearby. It was great that we could take our 2 dogs. We would highly recommend Bryn Golau

  • "We stayed for 3 nights and came away wishing it was longer."

The house is beautiful and really comfortable and relaxing inside. The windows in the lounge make it even more special, I could have happily stayed in that one room the whole time. The kitchen has everything you need and was clean and tidy. The one tiny thing I noticed when we first arrived was that the kitchen did smell of dog. I'm not a dog owner so I probably notice it more and I know the property welcomes dogs so I wasn't surprised. But after the first day the smell was gone. I wondered if it might be worth getting a plug in air freshener just to use between stays to help clear out the smell? But really it didn't spoil anything, it was just the only thing I noticed that I could criticise! The area itself it pretty of course, amazing view from the lounge and we went walking around the village a couple of times. The shop at the bottom of the road is really convenient and less than 2 mins walk. The pub was really nice inside but we didn't eat there as they couldn't fit us in so we went to the swan inn down the road and had a really good meal there. We loved staying here and we're already looking at when we can book to come back for longer.

Hi. Thank you for your review. I’m glad you liked the house and enjoyed what the Ceiriog Valley had to offer. Thank you for making us aware of the issue with the dog smell we will try and address this. We hope to see you again soon. Property Owner

Spacious rooms & the view is lovely. Well equipped. The photos don’t do it justice. Will definitely book again.

  • "Bryn Golau is a stunning property in a beautiful part of North Wales."

The specifications don't do it justice with 3 ample double en-suite bedrooms plus another large family bathroom. The owner was super responsive to tackle a minor issue same day and a nice bloke too. The property had everything we could want and located within easy drive of lots of amenities in Chirk & Llangollen. Would love to visit again at different parts of the year to appreciate it's great location.

Thank you for your review. I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. Hope to see you again soon. Property Owner

  • "Would expect to have the house vaccumed as its pet friendly."

So that way we dont have any pet hairs attached to our clothes on couches beds and washrooms. The ambience is fabulous but definetly need vaccume before any stay. Also would be nice to have shower gels placed in bathroom.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry you feel you were not satisfied with the cleanliness of the property regarding dog hair. I can assure you the property was hoovered prior to your arrival but as a dog friendly property it can sometimes be difficult to irradiate every single dog hair. It is also a self catering property and as many people have allergies we choose not to provide shower gels. Kindest regards. Property Owner

  • "Lovely house with the potential to be outstanding."

A few basics missing such as mirrors in all bathrooms, velux window blind required in upstairs bedroom, more kitchen equipment, left hand oven trips the sockets in the kitchen, ground floor toilet blocked, no extraction working in bathrooms, towel rail in upstairs bathroom not working. Cleanliness was average, oven and grill need a good clean as did all the doors in the kitchen (now clean) shower upstairs has mouldy silicone, stain on mattress protector.. This review is fully intended as constructive feedback to help improve the house for future guest.

Many thanks for your comments. I apologise that Bryn Golau did not come up to the high standards I expect! Just a couple of comments regarding fans in bathrooms there is a heat recovery system installed, hence there is no need for extractor fans. With regards to lack of mirrors of course I am aware of this but the local electrician I use is not able to commit to install mirrors until end of July ( I booked him at the beginning of June!) With regards to your other comments I have brought this to the cleaners attention who has assured me that these have been addressed. I do hope you will book another break again so you can experience our wonderful house. Kind regards. Property Owner
