  • "Just the right size for me, husband and dog."

Everything you need in the kitchen and nice size fridge freezer and the welcome pack was a nice touch (in both houses). However a couple of things that could be improved, main bedroom bed is creaking and mattress firm and uncomfortable. We’re not young but able, the en-suites are small and should be mentioned.. No shelves for toiletries or a shower shelf so we took a bathroom each. Open wardrobes with hangers but no drawers (I brought my ikea things). Sofa is not the same one in the picture and uncomfortable plus the TV is far to high. No one was available to help with the EV charger, again until the last day, I was finally brought the adapter for type 2. A real shame with these niggles nice location, great pair of houses for the family and decent parking for our big cars. I think information needs to be left about the middle tram station, can’t buy tickets. Can only buy from top or bottom station. Thanks

  • "Feedback comments about the steep access and narrow roads are not exaggerated, but it does enable you to improve your driving skills and after a few days you do get used to it."

A lovely cottage which proved to be nice and cool during the extreme hot weather conditions. The sofa is in need of replacement but other than that the cottage is well furnished. If you want further information about recycling you can obtain this from the local Council's website. The Kings Head management are dog friendly but please be aware other customers using the pub may not be. Overall we (3 adults and 3 small dogs) had a great holiday.

  • "Dwelling decorated with cosy features, a sense of fun and thought to visitors needs."

High level of internal sound proofing between the 2 dwellings - heard nothing. Situated on a no through road, so most times 'very quiet' location, perched high above the town. Steep approach, car brakes and clutch need to be in good order. Enjoyed listening to resident Jackdaws chuckling together.

  • "Generally ok and clean, however, the sofa smelled of dogs which was unpleasant."

The TVs was too high on the wall, giving us neck ache to watch. Only find installation instructions for the heaters, no user instructions. Inadequate information about the recycling system. Having said all that we had a good week and the overal view of the property was that it was clean and well equipped.

The cottage was so comfortable and clean. Was a great base for exploring Llandudno and surrounding areas. The garden was lovely to sit out in and so peaceful. Thank you for all the little goodies, they were much appreciated by all.

Decorated tastefully and wonderfully views from on top of the Orme We had a lovely time. Only downside was late check in of 5pm. I get they have to clean the place but that late for checking in makes it difficult

  • "Thank you so much for our holiday at Ty Bach, we loved the property and its location and are keen to book another stay."

So many touches made this a really welcoming and special place to stay - the dog treats and dog ball, the fantastically stocked welcome hamper and the warmth of the cottage. The sofa, beds and pillows were all so comfortable and the peaceful location of the property ensured a great night's sleep. I loved the fact there were dog walks straight from the front door with no busy roads and the teenagers loved the proximity of Llandudno with all the facilities on offer there. So glad we booked a stay here; would highly recommend.

It had everything we needed for my husband and I and our 3 little dogs. Sofa was comfortable, bed was comfortable. It had a washer dryer which came in handy. The place was clean and well maintained. The views are fabulous from the cottage. It was really quiet and private, there were no one staying next door which made it even quieter, but if you want bars and restaurants there less than 5 minutes away. We are booking again for next year and I’ve recommended to a friend who is also booking for February. The owners daughter was very polite and helpful when I texted her. Very accommodating! Well recommended

Warm, cosy and very clean. I'd reported the mattress to Sykes during our stay, Sykes didn't offer any help but I also reported it to the owner who immediately replaced it. The bed frame will also need replacing as creaks dreadfully! Could also do with replacing the sofa as not comfortable either. We had avgrwat holiday and would definitely book this cottage again

  • "We arrived at Ty Bach to hear our distraught neighbour (adjoining holiday accommodation from same owner & also let via Sykes) on the phone to the owner."

Their accommodation was not clean and had used masks left in it... So, we entered our accommodation with trepidation. Unfortunately, our accommodation was also not clean and certainly didn't meet the deep clean/covid safe standards as advertised. We found the floor sticky and dirty. The kitchen had food splashes up the cupboards, food debris in the oven and cutlery draw, plates were dirty and food spillages in the fridge. The lounge area’s furniture (tables/chairs) were tacky, a build up of dust on landing. The bathrooms had greasy smears on the shower screens/mirrors (as if wiped with a dirty cloth), a lot of dust, a lot of hairs and sticky urine on bathroom facilities. The owner’s daughter visited and was hostile. She accused myself of being ‘funny” with her and told me that she didn’t need to be there and was doing me a favour. She told me they were using a really good cleaning company but they were expensive so swapped to a cheaper cleaning

  • "The location of the cottage was fantastic - the cottage was beautifully decorated."

Comfort- wise the quality of the beds was very sub-standard and mattresses such poor quality that sleep was really difficult. The quality of the bedding was also very low. Good sleep is part of a holiday in my view. Also, the limited crockery meant during dishwashing cycles we couldn’t even make a cup of tea. This really isn’t acceptable these days. The cottage was really clean and well kept. If you were to improve on the matters above you’d have an excellent offering that we would recommend to friends and family - but not before.

  • "Pros. Great Views from the Orme Tidy Little Cottage Peaceful Easy to access Llandudno and North wales."

Cons The Cottage is up a very steep hill, with narrow roads, could be an issue with a person disabilities. We left the cottage clean, but it would have been a help if there was a brush and a mop and bucket, which is essential in a cottage that takes dogs. We booked to take our dogs but left them a home, which meant cleaning up was much easier. But overall a nice little cottage.

Beautifully positioned on the Orme so, although slightly challenging if you like walking into town a lot (our neighbours told us it was just £3 in a taxi!), it would be hard to imagine a cottage better placed for walks from the door with the dogs. Would definitely come back.

The facilities let it down. There were three of us and only 3 cups, knives and forks were available. I tea towel, clearly for any stay of a week it was not enough. The beds creaked and the couch was really uncomfortable.

  • "We were the first guests after lockdown eased and on arrival the cottage was cold as the storage heater had not been switched on in the living area."

We were extremely cold the first night despite lighting the wood burning stove, it was only after communicating with the owner the next day that we found the plinth heater in the kitchen area which helped. Access to the cottage is challenging as there is a very narrow lane from which you have to manoeuvre towards the cottage. The shower in the bedroom did not work but we were able to use the shower in the second bedroom - in fairness the owner offered to have it attended to either before or after we left. Both bathrooms were clean and modern but the shower was very weak and could not be used at full power as it began to pulse and the temperature varied - checking the instructions it would appear this is down to low water pressure. We found the bed comfortable and the bed linen was clean. The cottage had been renovated to a good standard and is in a lovely location with excellent walks around Great Orme literally on the doorstep - it was lovely to see the goats and their kids on the walks and we have some photographs to treasure.

Our main priority was being dog friendly...it certainly with a secure front garden. Inside is decorated and laid out perfectly for a couple or couple with child (or dogs). All mod cons available Inc Wi-Fi, dishwasher, washing machine etc... in a modern kitchen. Open Plan living room/kitchen with patio doors letting in loads of sunshine. At night it's total peace and quiet. If you have a dog ...the nearest pub The Kings Head is dog friendly and an 8 minute walk down steep roads ....would we book to go back? YES

  • "We visited Ty Bach Cottage from 10."

1.20 to 17.1.20 and were some of its first guests. As regular cottage renters (about 6 times a year) I can honestly say this was one of the best we’ve ever stayed in. The cottage has very recently been completely renovated too the highest standards, and the décor, fixtures and fittings are all top class. On arrival there was a comprehensive welcome pack with tea and coffee making facilities and a bottle of Prosecco and some sweets. There are also some nice ‘high-end’ touches like free access to Netflix, dishwasher, washer/dryer, Wi-Fi and all en-suite bedrooms. During our visit the owners also let us have a look at Ty Mawr their neighbouring cottage which is equally well renovated and finished to the highest standards, just a lot bigger. Ty Bach is located in one of the highest settlements on the Great Orme with great views of Llandudno Bay and over the Conwy estuary to Conwy Castle. Access to the cottage is by very steep and narrow roads, however most cars and vans seemed to have no problems (I’d make sure my car was in good order however before visiting especially clutch and brakes). The Cottage is very dog friendly and our two loved their stay, be careful though and remembers to keep your dogs ‘ON LEAD’ at all times when outside the garden, the Great Orme is working farmland as well as a country park and has around 122 wild Kashmiri Goats. We will definitely stay again, the only negative thing in our stay was a bit of wild and windy weather, which nobody can control.

About the location

LLANDUDNO

Conwy 4 miles, Colwyn Bay 6 miles, Snowdonia 20 miles.

Llandudno lies between two headlands, the Great Orme and the Little Orme and it is these headlands, and the town's two waterfronts, that give this tourist resort its special appeal. The town offers two superb beaches - the North Shore, with its wide promenade backed by an imposing crescent of Victorian hotels and the quieter West Shore with miles of sandy shoreline backed by sand dunes and superb views towards Anglesey. For the best views, however, you can reach the summit of the 679ft Great Orme using either the Great Orme Tramway or by taking an exciting cable car ride of over a mile. The town has an excellent selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés, as well as Venue Cymru, which is North Wales' premier theatrical stage for opera, ballet, musicals, comedy and visiting orchestras, boasting a programme that is second to none - all this is just a stone's throw from the promenade. Just 4 miles away is the town of Conwy - a designated World Heritage Site. A true medieval gem, Conwy is dominated by a splendid castle and completely enclosed by its well-preserved town walls. Discover miles of sandy beaches along the North Wales coast and excellent walking and climbing in the Snowdonia National Park just 20 minutes' drive away - there's plenty to see and do!
