  • "What a lovely cottage, lovely and cosy with a very comfortable double bed ( the single bed, not so comfy, maybe could do with a better mattress?"

). Fabulous views and so peaceful and quiet. Great location for walking to Dyserth waterfall and for joining the Prestatyn Way for a beautiful 4ish mile walk ( I surprised myself!). Safe for dogs and a lovely walk into the woods behind the cottage from the end of the road. Thank you Sophie for your help and your friendliness. Shirley.

  • "We had a wonderful holiday at Aster Cottage, the perfect home from home to explore North Wales."

The cottage is in a fantastic location with stunning views or the coast and Snowdonia National Park, I’ll miss waking up to those views! We had a nice message from Sophie, the owner, on arrival. The kitchen was very well equipped, as was the living room with comfy sofas and large tv. The stairs were very steep, but there was a stair gate to put at the top for our toddler so we managed fine. The free standing bath is fab, although a bit slower to get ready with no shower. We ran out of gas a couple of times, which meant no heating, hot water or ability to cook whilst it was getting sorted, but Sophie was very quick and accommodating and replaced it as quickly as possible, even on a Sunday when there were few places open to buy new gas canisters. The village of Dyserth is lovely and has a beautiful waterfall within short walking distance - a must see. We had a toddler with us who was a bit under the weather so did less walking than we’d have liked, but had lovely family days out with our dog exploring the village, at Llandudno, Prestatyn beach front, Bodnant Gardens, and a trip to Llanberis to do the Lake Railway. Small note that many things in the area are closed in February, which we knew and planned for. It was nice a quiet! Would definitely recommend and hope to return one day!

Very clean, everything you need, cosy & has fantastic views. In a fab location with a short walk to the High Street shops. Dyserth waterfall is a good place to explore. We will definitely be booking again, maybe in the summer months when we can make use of the barbecue!

  • "Great place comfy with great views out to the bay, terrific sunsets parking a bit of a problem in front but nothing that can be overcome only one little thing possibly a curtain between kitchen and lounge to cut down on heat loss."

We will be back hoping that another storm like Isha doesn’t happen again. All the best Mike and Sue

  • "What a lovely little cottage!"

Recently refurbished. Loved the bath. Comfy bed. Everything we needed was provided. Kitchen was well equipped. Great contact provided for key and if we needed anything owner was available. Helpful instructions were sent via text. Absolutely stunning views. Easy to get to the coast, supermarkets not too far away. Village a short walk away. Recommend the pub and both takeaways. The farm shop serves a hearty breakfast, very nice indeed. We shall return next year hopefully. Totally recommend Aster Cottage.

Views to die for. This is a very comfortable and cozy cottage within a short distance to local amenities. We ran out of gas so called the owner and within one hour they came and fitted a new bottle. We will return, but maybe in the summer next time. Well done for a pleasantly presented cottage with all the comforts of home.

  • "This accommodation is everything it is described as and more."

The building is over 200 years old and packed with character, but has been beautifully and sympathetically modernised, has an amazing view and was clean and tidy. The host was most polite and welcoming through text and email communication and had left us complimentary tea and coffee and some cakes! I would definitely recommend this accommodation and would love to return in the summer so that we can make the most of the terrace and views!
