We all absolutely loved everything abt the hse! We used unique hot-tub a couple of times within a week’s stay. The children loved it there too. Beautiful n tasteful house ;) Wales did rain an awful lot but we were determined not to let it dampen our holiday moods and it didn’t. We would not mind to return it again. (Small slight probs was tht the children stayed up late Cos of no blackout curtains!! Hence chn stayed up really late! Never mind as the holiday house was amazing). The gardens and the views were striking as we cldnt keep our eyes off them! Thx you for making such a huge effort in keeping the hse n garden look beautiful for us;)

The cottage

A beautiful Edwardian country house set in peaceful grounds in the Conwy Valley.

Ty’n Y Cae is located in a small village called Llanbedr Y Cennin (St Peter’s among the daffodils) and was home to many well-known artists in the late 19th century.

The holiday home looks over the River Conwy and has lovely rural views that you can completely relax in.

There is plenty of space to enjoy time with friends or family in and out of the house.

There is even a wood fired hot tub if you fancy bringing your trunks! You are well located to explore the Conwy Valley and with Snowdonia around the corner there is plenty on offer.

Down the road you have Conwy with its famous castle and plenty of shops and restaurants.

There is the famous Surf Snowdonia as well as the Bodnant Gardens and Zipworld Fforest all a short drive away.

A comfortable sitting room with sofas and chairs are set around a big wood burning stove. There is a TV with plenty of books and French doors lead out to the patio area.

The completely refurbished kitchen is fabulous with electric range oven, induction hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and toaster.

The utility room houses the washing machine and dryer.

There is a large dining table in the kitchen that can seat 10 people. The first floor has three bedrooms - A double with king size bed and wash hand basin.

Another double with king size bed and a final double with king size bed and ensuite bathroom.

On the second floor is a double bed with option of two chair beds that can be made as singles by request and a twin room next door.

There is a ground floor shower room with shower, wash hand basin and loo.

A family bathroom on the first floor with large bath, hand held shower and separate shower, wash hand basin and loo.

The ensuite has bath, corner shower, wash hand basin and loo.

The second floor has shower, loo and wash hand basin. A study on the ground floor comprises of wood burning effect stove and a desk with fantastic views that you’d never get any work done!

The grounds are lovely with shrubs, patio, pond and outside furniture.

Our favourite part is the wood fired hot tub.

About the location

Very interesting area, very differernt to its neighbour Snodonia. The river Conwy flows through as does the main railway line through from Llandudno to Blaenau Ffestiniog, used originally to carry slate. Visit the castle at Conway and the smallest house in Wales or pop along to Betws y Coed or Llanrwst, or join the North Wales Coastal path and head off towards Llanfairfechan. Plenty of nice eating places to choose from whereever you decide to visit.

Region Information

Note: The grounds are large and does have a small pond and young children will need to be supervised at all times.
