What guests are saying
What an absolutely incredible week we have had.
We both said that we haven't felt so relaxed in a very long time. The accommodation was wonderful and it felt like staying at a friend's home. The kitchen was very well equipped, which I love. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept so well. The track had far fewer potholes than the road through our local village, so we had no problems there at all. The silence was amazing and on clear nights the stars were stunning. We had very mixed weather but we loved exploring the local woods in both heat and heavy rain. The location was exactly what we needed and perfect for accessing Eryri in general. We wished we'd booked two weeks (or maybe a month).
Overall a great place to stay.
It is about 2 miles up hill into a forest, up a winding road up. We didnt see potholes, and it was absolutely fine driving it in our car. Takes about 10-15 mins from leaving the main road to get to the house. House very remote, there is another holiday rental property nearby but its down a hill so you dont notice it. Stunning views and walks from the house. I was worried there would be lots of midgies but there wasnt. If you like old houses, this is for you. We loved it as we love olde worlde. If you like modern, maybe not. Cottage had everything we needed. Couple of niggles that need maintenance but guessing hard to do given the location. All 3 beds were comfy. Lovely bench at the top of the hill next to the house, nice place to sit. Lovely patio area. Not far from Porthmadog for Tesco, Aldi, Lidl, cafes, shops, petrol. Also a lovely train station with steam trains. Not far from the interesting Portmerion. Great base for us. We hope to return, thank you for having us.
Wonderful property in a stunning location.
Great place to relax and unwind with family.

Property notes
Note: There is a £350 good house keeping bond in place.
Note: “The track to the cottage from the main road is just under two miles long. It is a dirt track and does have a number of potholes, so fairly slow driving is sensible, particularly initially.”
Note: Please refrain from lighting barbecues, fires etc this summer as the cottage is in a forest and as such is very vulnerable to fires.
