  • "Lovely spacious apartment in a quiet residential area."

Treetops is a fantastic base to explore the delights that North Wales has to offer, for which there are plenty. The apartment is a short walk or drive from local amenities. The town of Rhos On Sea offers a good mix of independent shops, takeaways, restaurants etc. Rhos On Sea is ideal for a quiet family holiday, but if you want more attractions you are just a short drive from busier places. Will never forget the lovely evenings we had sat as a family watching the sunset each night on the beach at Rhos On Sea.

It just needs a bit of money spent on the beds. The beds where poor and very well used and old, the double bed has a topper but it's needs a new mattress. One of the single bed bases was broken and lopsided and very hard mattress on the other one. Some off the draws are broken and fell down when opened.

  • "Treetops is a perfect place to stay if you want to explore North Wales."

The accommodation is a good size and we were comfortable staying there for our short stay. All the rooms are a good size and we loved the spaciousness, much better than being cramped in a small caravan! There is a large lounge dining room, separate kitchen, double bedroom and a smaller twin bedroom, separate bathroom and w.c. - all on the ground floor. The kitchen has an electric oven and induction hob which I wasn't used to but managed to use once I'd got the hang of it! No dishwasher but luckily my husband was the dishwasher during our stay. The driveway is a bit steep but to be expected considering it's hillside location and perfectly manageable. There's plenty of parking space available on the roadside too. Situated in Rhos-on-Sea we loved the promenade and ate out at Jonny Dough's Pizza place whilst there. Llandudno and Conway are only a short drive away and we also drove over to Anglesey for the day during our trip. A good base for anyone wanting roomy accommodation whilst staying in North Wales. Shaun was very helpful when we messaged him with questions and responded quickly which we appreciated.

We found treetops a very clean and tidy place in a quiet area had a few issue's had been promised a welcome pack but did not receive if I had I would never end up going onto the drive way it is steep also cold tap in bathroom would not work and shower also not working but I must say shaun the owner did respond quickly and tap was sorted and just before we left a new shower was fitted I feel if a little better maintenance before people arrive would help but over all I would recommend treetops Michael

After heating the property this went away. Maybe a day prior to someone staying the owners should put hearing on? We loved the space, the beds were comfortable and we loved the location. The wi fi and sky was excellent for our son. We were sorry to leave. Thank you also for the wine in the fridge that was a lovely gesture. Also the shower was lovely power shower! Thank you to the owners.

  • "The cottage was clean and spacious and in a great location."

The communication from the owner was good. The walls are nicely decorated. Sadly the apartment is a little run down. Very damp. The owner has placed some air fresheners which do cover some of the smell. I read some of the previous reviews and came hoping that it would be okay but sadly most of what is said is spot on. The lounge furniture and the beds in the twin room could do with replacing. The edges of the flooring need finishing off. We got this property on a reduced price deal. If I had paid full price I would be very disappointed. It s sad as it could be a lovely place to stay. I hope the owner manages to make some improvements as it could be really lovely. As it was we got what we paid for.

Sadly when we arrived cleanliness wasnt great in some areas such toliet area so had to clean place when we arrived. However place was very good as a base to go out and visit places. Kitchen is a brilliant size and was able to cook a few meals after cleaning most of utensils before hand. There is a typing error on site saying double beds in one room but actually 2 single beds and a king size bed in other room. There is an outdoor area which is covered which was nice to sit outside and listen to the rain. Overall after cleaning place , stay was alright. Wine was left in fridge as a warm welcome and all rooms are a good size for a family or a few people staying here.

I had to buy plug in air freshners, carpet odor but achieved very little. 1 of my kid suffers from dust allergy so was not comfortable coming over. Very disappointing. House is surrounded by threes and bushes, so poor lighting. House above flooring is very thin and could thumps of walking neighbourg. One night, smoke detector was keep going on every 5 mins. Following day owner brought a new one. Landlord brought new detector following day. Internet plusnet was down for whole weekend. Appreciated landlord following up with provider. On my last day, i found a bed bug in my bed. I have the picture and left it in a cup in the kitchen to sjow the owner, who I met coincidentally same day of my finding and report my general disappointment. At first he said was sorry but then wasnt very happy at all. He complained I would have put him out of business. I would be happy to receive a compensation ( money refund, no future discount ) to forget about this unpleasant episode.

  • "Location was great ideal for local beaches."

Quiet street. The host was very friendly on the phone. The instructions pack was very easy to understand. Tea coffee and a bottle of wine on arrival was a nice touch. The cottage itself could be great with some work. It smelt very musty throughout our stay, we had to open the windows and doors everytime we were in the lounge. This may have been due to the cottage being shut for a few months. As we were ground floor you could hear everything that upstairs were doing, which made sleeping difficult on occasion. Shower was good, no issues with hot water even though we had at least 1 shower each everyday (4 of us). There was less than 1 toilet roll for us to use which was a bit annoying as we had to go and buy some, a minor issue though. The main bed was comfy, the 2 single beds were a bit springy, ok for kids anyone older than younger children might struggle. All in all a good base for the area, it felt like it hadn't had a real deep clean prior to arrival, which made us limit the time we wanted to spent in the cottage.

But the property itself smelt really badly of damp so much so our clothes smelt of it too when we got them home and had to rewash everything. Also there was a local dog that kept coming into our front yard and pooing in there. Which isn’t good when we have a two year old who couldn’t play out there. The cottage would be perfect if it didn’t smell really badly of damp.

Shaun was so helpful, he even carried our bags and things in for us. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he was a superb host. The location was excellent, Rhos on sea was only 5 minutes down the road, Llandudno 10 minutes, Conwy 20 mins, caernarfon 30 mins. I would recommend going to them all also snowden, bewts-y-coed. The Welsh mountain zoo is only round the corner but we found it lacking and very hilly!. Take a trip to Hickorys for a meal with a difference. We chilled and relaxed at Treetops, opened our curtains every morning to the the trees, squirrels and the sound of sea gulls. Many thanks Shaun.

At the rear of the property there is a secluded area overlooking......treetops! The location is a great base for visiting North Wales. We were minutes from a variety of shops and supermarkets as well as the beach. Shaun, the owner, is a lovely man who greeted us on arrival and gave us a tour of the property and left us a lovely bottle of wine well chilled in the fridge! Many thanks, Shaun. Lovely quiet location, near the nature reserve. A few little negatives - beds could do with new mattresses - double bed has roll together, and singles, you can feel the springs. The hob needs remarking or instructions as to which knob works which ring, as you currently have to play a guessing game. Also, the PlayStation that doubles as a DVD player, didn't seem to want to work. Sean is very helpful and when we told him that there was an issue with the hot water, he got it sorted the same day.

Shaun was a wonderful host from the moment we arrived, helpful, with a full tour of the apartment; plus the nice added touch of a bottle of wine left in the fridge. Provided plenty of help and advice regarding the surrounding area, with the appreciated: ‘anything you need, just ask’. There was an unpleasant, musty smell of damp in the entrance hall and small bedroom, and the mattresses definitely need replacing. (The drawers in that bedroom also need attention.) The TV was of good quality, Wi-Fi and bottle of wine was welcome.
