  • "We stayed in this cottage for 3 nights (April 2022) and are so glad that we did."

It is a real gem in the heart of Llandudno. Only a very short walk to the seafront and pier but still quiet (except the seagulls!) as it is down a side road off the main drag. Shame there's no parking space but it really doesn't matter: we parked outside to unload and then moved the car a short distance to free roadside parking. The 3 main bedrooms are all lovely. The attic room isn't as comfortable, but it was very useful to have a 4th room with twin beds. Front and back gardens are secure, perfect for dogs. Lovely to sit out in the back garden, cushions were provided. Great shower downstairs. Couldn't fault this place. No wonder it is very popular!

  • "We were a little confused about any recycling as there were no instructions, we did find a few full bins in a side "garden", so we did our best."

We were not given any instructions about what to do with the towels and bedding on our leaving. Other than those above the cottage was in a great location, lovely to be able to take our dogs, and if we were going to Llandudno again we would look to see if Trevor Cottage was available.

It has had a top notch renovation with classy fixtures and fittings, and the furnishings were super clean and very comfortable. The location is fantastic too with shops on one side and the promenade on the other. We also enjoyed watching the birds in the front garden. Such a shame we had to come home!

  • "An excellent stay in a large cottage which also managed to feel cosy."

Central location which was great. The cottage was spotlessly clean and didn’t smell of dogs which I had worried about. Loved that you could see the sea from the side window in the main bedroom. Some great waves. A few very minor points. There was no toilet paper. ( the spares box in the under-stairs cupboard was also empty), the hand washes in the bathrooms were empty and there were no logs for even one fire. Luckily the shops are on your door step so we could buy them Will definitely stay again. Hopefully soon.

However, one of my friends complained about the mattresses being too hard, he has back problems and had trouble sleeping, however he enjoyed himself and wants to go back. It could be a little bit more disabled friendly. We had trouble with the heating and the wi-fi, the heating having to be sorted because of the cold weather of the time of year, but we contacted the owner and she was brilliant and so it was sorted out quickly

  • "It was the worst holiday I have ever had."

I've given it 1 star cos I can't give it any less. There were clothes left from a previous guest that had maggots all over them from a decomposing bird in the bedroom. . There were flies all over the bed, and the window. We lifted a basket from above the clothes rail and all maggots and debris went all over my daughter's clean holiday clothes that she had hung up before the flies were over everything. I complained to the owner, she got the cleaners out. We had to waste a day of our holiday waiting for them. They supposedly cleaned the room. That night there were flies all over it again. My daughter and her husband had to go and stay in a hotel. We ended up coming home early. The owner gave us compensation of £315. The cottage cost over £1200 for the week. What a joke! In these days if covid, I expected the cottage to be clean. It was disgusting. I would not recommend this cottage to anyone. Sykes did nothing to help us at all.

  • "The accommodation was clean but in a superficial way."

Given Covid situations I was expecting near perfection and an immaculately clean property. Instead, the deep seated cleanliness was not there. Surfaces were fine, but just dust on door ledges, curtain rails, ALL doors downstairs had drink drips down them, the paintwork near the front door was grubby, the shower tray clean enough inside but grime and dirt in the corners near the floor. Nearly all the large plates were chipped, parts of the cooker needed attention. This is not a weekly cleaning issue which seems adequate enough but oversight of the property. The property has a charm and is well positioned.

Better than when we came 4 years ago as you had definitely improved the facilities over the years with extra dishes and bigger fridge freezer. Beds are so comfy, lovely new suite in the lounge, so convenient to everything, so lovely. We love it here and have booked again for next year. We could have done with slightly bigger towels, whisk, and tray for cooking Yorkshire puds. We also had much fun opening the green food backs for waste as they were near on impossible to open. We would really recommend staying here, it's a huge gorgeous cottage with room for a larger family. I can see how wonderful the outdoor area is in the summer.

Being close to all,one could not wish for a better position. Literally a stones throw from the sea front and minutes from shops and eateries. Because of narrowness of street there are parking restrictions but i always found free parking whenever needed on an adjacent road details of which are in welcome pack. I found a little further down the road an advantage because of seagulls droppings. Would recommend this property to anyone.

An impressive Christmas Tree! Just one or two small maintenance niggles (not unexpected at the end of a busy letting year) and some areas beginning to look a bit tired and in need of a freshen up. The house was very clean and generally well equipped. However, though it sleeps eight people, the living room would not in any way accommodate that number. As it was, it was very " cosy" for six adults. One us always had to sit on a hard chair when we were all together. I suggest that the chest of drawers be removed in favour of another sofa. Otherwise, we had a lovely time.

Close to the beach, shops, cafes and restaurants. Great base for exploring North Wales. The cottage itself was spacious and clean and and a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. The only slight negative is that the fridge/freezer was very small and not a great deal of space if 8 people wanted to cook every day/night. Fortunately, we didn’t as there are so many lovely places to eat within 5 minutes walk. Overall, a fantastic place to stay and I would highly recommend it. I would definitely go back again.

Lucy drove over to deliver light bulbs as 4 were not working. She is very available and helpful. The only complaint we had was the very small fridge and the very small freezer that doesn't work properly. I was with 2 friends and we filled it easily and it's a house that fits up to 8 adults so it would be great to have a fridge/freezer to fit that many! Do beware unless you have a blue badge you can't park outside, but I found it easy to find somewhere to park only a few minutes walk away.

  • "The location of this property cannot be improved upon, quite literally only 2 minutes from the promenade and a little over 5 to the pier or restaurants/bars etc."

The property itself is very versatile in terms of sleeping arrangements having 3 double bedrooms on the first floor and two singles in the attic room. None are en-suite but there is a bath/toilet on the same floor as the double beds. and a shower/toilet on the ground floor. This did not cause us any problems at all. The property is situated on a small side street off the promenade so car parking is limited to picking things up or dropping things off. There are loads of free parking streets around but these spaces are quickly snapped up by day visitors to the town. That said even the furthest away that we parked was still less than 10 minutes walk back. The facilities provided were very good throughout although we did have to clean some of the oven racks and utensils before first using them. This was probably just an oversight and only a very minor issue for us. Overall a very pleasant stay had by one and all in a great property and in a great location. I would highly recommend it.

Parking is a nightmare had to park our car a 10-minute walk away. Bedrooms lovely with very comfey beds although sleep can be challenging as them seagulls never stop squawking day and night. Spotlessly clean inside and well equipped with only 2 minor-ish gripes. The main oven didnt work so had to use the much smaller oven which was very narrow. The fridge is way to small to accommodate larger family and the freezer was so blocked full of ice it was impossible to put anything in there. Saying that though there are countless shops and places to eat out within a very short walking distance so if you dont mind eating out a lot then this is the place for you...

This lovely four-bedroom cottage has been renovated and refurbished to a high standard and offers spacious, modern accommodation with tasteful furnishings and décor, whilst some of the character features have been preserved such as the pitched pine turned staircase and ceiling coving.

The dining room overlooks the pretty rear garden and is ideal for family meals and the kitchen is modern and well equipped.

About the location

Conwy 4 miles, Colwyn Bay 6 miles, Snowdonia 20 miles.

Llandudno lies between two headlands, the Great Orme and the Little Orme and it is these headlands, and the town's two waterfronts, that give this tourist resort its special appeal. The town offers two superb beaches - the North Shore, with its wide promenade backed by an imposing crescent of Victorian hotels and the quieter West Shore with miles of sandy shoreline backed by sand dunes and superb views towards Anglesey. For the best views, however, you can reach the summit of the 679ft Great Orme using either the Great Orme Tramway or by taking an exciting cable car ride of over a mile. The town has an excellent selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés, as well as Venue Cymru, which is North Wales' premier theatrical stage for opera, ballet, musicals, comedy and visiting orchestras, boasting a programme that is second to none - all this is just a stone's throw from the promenade. Just 4 miles away is the town of Conwy - a designated World Heritage Site. A true medieval gem, Conwy is dominated by a splendid castle and completely enclosed by its well-preserved town walls. Discover miles of sandy beaches along the North Wales coast and excellent walking and climbing in the Snowdonia National Park just 20 minutes' drive away - there's plenty to see and do!
