  • "Everything about this place is outstanding."

We loved the feel of it as soon as we walked in, it was very clean and decorated beautifully. It was extremely well equipped. The kitchen had everything you could need, from hot tub towels and glasses, and the dog towels and treats were all a great idea. They really had thought of everything. The fire place was amazing! The hot tub was a welcome treat after a day out. There are so many things to do out and about. Snowdon isn’t too far either. The hosts were so lovely and offered help if we had needed it at anytime. The beds were comfortable and the main bedroom is HUGE ! The other double room is also very comfortable and a nice size. Both on suite. The most handy thing for us was the EV charging it was like home from home, we didn’t have to worry about anything. Thank you Ursula and Greg you have a beautiful place.

Very cosy feel to it and spotlessly clean. It has been refurbished to a very high standard. Hosts Ursula and Greg were extremely welcoming and not at all intrusive. The hot tub was wonderful and in a secluded little garden which was enclosed so great for our dog. The beds are also very comfortable. We will definitely be returning. Thank you Ursula for the home made chocolate fudge cakes. We shall definitely be returning.

  • "A relaxing weekend!"

We had a lovely welcome from Ursula and Greg who greeted us on arrival and briefly explained the area. They kindly provided a welcome basket with some essentials and some tasty homemade brownies, a very nice touch. The cottage itself is beautiful, very well equipped and clean. The information folder was very helpful and the cottage is in a good location to visit a number of towns and local beaches. The hot tub was ready for use on arrival, clean and is secluded which is something we appreciate. We would definitely stay in the cottage again when in the area and would certainly recommend. Thank you Ursula, Greg and Bella for a lovely weekend. Don’t forget to visit St Cybi’s well, just a short walk from the cottage!

Thank you for the great review. We are so glad you had an enjoyable few days at Bryn Aber Bach. St Cybi's Well is somewhere we would always recommend. A few hundred yards from the cottage and so still and peaceful. We are not sure about the Wells claim to have magically healing properties, but there is certainly something about the location that seems, at least, to wash away the stresses and strains of busy lives. • "We stayed in this beautifully appointed cottage during the first week of March and what a fantastic week."

The owners who live in the house directly in front of the cottage, were super friendly & helpful & had thought of everything to make our stay both relaxing & comfortable. From the lovely welcome pack to the recommendations, nothing was too much trouble. The cottage itself has been lovingly restored & is clean, spacious & incredibly peaceful with the hot tub greatly appreciated after a day of walking. There is so much to see & do in the area and we made the most of many of the nearby beaches & would particularly recommend Black Rock Sands, Hells Mouth & Harlech. We were blessed with fabulous early spring weather too so even had a trip to South Stack lighthouse in Anglesey which looked amazing in the spring sunshine. If you’re looking for a high quality place to stay in a beautiful part of the UK this is the place for you & the icing on the cake is it’s super dog friendly too. Our border terriers loved it! We will most definitely visit again

Thank you so much for the lovely review. The weather was indeed particularly fine for the beginning of March. Even after nearly three years on the Peninsular we are still exploring and finding new places to take our breath away. South Stack is on our , still quite long, to-do list. We are so happy you all had such a great stay and would love to welcome you back in the future. Kind Regards Ursula and Greg Property Owner

It literally was perfect. Totally idyllic and the walk up the mountain just behind was invigorating.. the hot tub was a delight at the end of the day… thank you guys for a most memorable break.

Thanks for the wonderful review. We are so pleased you had everything you needed and enjoyed great stay at Bryn Aber Bach. The walk up to the top of Garn Bentrych is a bit of a hike, but on a nice day the views are spectacular. From the top you can see all the Llyn Peninsular laid out below and to the east the mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia) Kind regards Ursula and Greg Property Owner

Greg and Ursula were lovely, the brownies were yummy! The cottage had some festive decorations out and they even brought us warm mince pies and something to wash them down with on Christmas day. The hot tub is all set up and ready for you just to get into. The cottage was probably a bit away from everything for us with a lot of single track roads to it but there isn't much traffic to cause a problem. The cottage is value for money and would definitely recommend it.

The hot tub was fabulous, Greg had to maintain it quite often during our stay but always checked when it was suitable with us when he called round. The area is so quiet, a perfect place to chill. In terms of location, the cottage is pretty central with a few towns within a short drive as well as plenty of dog friendly beaches. • "Totally agree with all past reviews."

Lovely venue, welcome package and greeting off the owner. However upon opening the hot tub on the first night, we were greeted by a dirty green mark on the tide line on two sides. We cleaned it, mentioned it to the owner who offered to get her husband round to which we declined. However when the car wasn’t there, he entered the property to check not realising guests were there. This was not appreciated and felt an invasion of our privacy. Would have appreciated contact when hosts knew we were in the home. The only other feedback would be a black out blind Is needed in velux window with en-suite shower & for hosts to ensure previous guests have put their recycling out to main drive gate as requested. We were greeted with full recycling that didn’t smell good due to being two weeks worth.

Thank you for your review. As is apparent from the photos of our cottage garden the area with the hot tub is completely enclosed and private. When guests arrive, and if we are permitted (which we were not in this case), we do explain that we are required to check and test the hot tub regularly. As well as always wanting guests to enjoy the hot tub safely this is also a legal requirement from the Health & Safety Executive. We offer to either make the check while the guests are at the cottage or to wait until they are out for the day, so as not to disturb them. While the lack of cars on the cottage driveway is a good indicator it is no guarantee that some guests may not still be in the cottage. Therefore our process is to knock loudly, wait twenty seconds and knock again. Only then after another wait would we unlock the door open and call out. Then only when the cottage is clearly empty would we enter. In this case we were met at the front door by our guest. We offered to call back later but were invited in and we were able to check the hot tub and add additional chemicals. Regarding bins. All recyclable refuse is collected on a Friday morning. This is ideal for guests staying weekly as they will always arrive to empty recycling bins on Friday afternoon. Non recyclable waste is also collected on a Friday but only three weekly, which in my humble opinion is too long a wait and something I think many people can relate to. For guests arriving midweek for a short break these outside bins will obviously have waste from the guests who stayed before them. Which was the case in this instance. Recycling bins are never left for two weeks and as mentioned are always collected weekly. We do provide a large three part pedal bin in the porch for the different types of waste, a food compost caddy and a container for glass which is under the sink. They are all clearly marked with the type of waste they accept. These internal bins are always emptied and cleaned between each guest changeover. Due to the three weekly cycle for non recyclable refuse, we use wheelie bin deodorant and also provide a refuse sack in the non recyclable pedal bin and spares under the sink if required. The garden is definitely enclosed, we have chihuahuas and have had a few cottages say it’s enclosed but they still find a way out, it was a nice peace of mind to be in the hot tub and not wonder if the dogs are escaping into the village. Their welcome pack of information is fantastic for walks and places to visit, you don’t need to plan ahead at all. Can’t recommend this place enough and wish we stayed longer, will definitely be booking again.

Thank you for your very kind review and we are glad your two little ones stayed safe in the rear garden. The welcome email they send a few days prior to arrival is fantastic it has lots of information, history of the cottage and even some hints on speaking Welsh! One thing to consider prior to travel during peak season is to book restaurants prior to your arrival, if like us, you like to see how you feel on the day we found many places were fully booked (we were also limited due to having the dog with us) although this didn’t bother us as we were happy to stay at home! The village of Llangybi is very peaceful, steeped in history with some lovely walks with the dog, which is just what we wanted from our break. The location is a great base to explore the Llyn peninsular and surrounding areas. We were lucky with the weather our week and spent most days on different beaches (which most are dog friendly or have dog friendly sections). One thing we did do was visit to Glasfryn activity centre if you are travelling with kids, there is plenty to keep them entertained and is fun for adults too! we had a fabulous holiday at Bryn Aber Bach and can’t recommend it enough, we will be back next year!

Thank you for the great review. We are so happy that you had a great time staying at Bryn Aber Bach. The Glasfryn Activity Centre is indeed a bit of a hidden gem. As you say, there is so much to do there. The Go-Kart racing is a personal favourite of mine. We are looking forward to seeing you again soon. Kind regards Greg and Ursula Property Owner

  • "We have just got home from a fantastic week here."

Greg & Ursula with their dog, Bella are the lovely owners who were really friendly and helpful…they left us a lovely welcome pack in the cottage on arrival too. The cottage is ideally situated, it is so peaceful in the evening but very close to many places for visiting. We visited Caernarfon, Criccieth, Porthmadog, Abersoch, Snowdonia, Beddgelert & Black Rock sands on our holiday. All these places were amazing & so beautiful. We also had a go at archery & clay pigeon shooting at Glasfryn Parc which is only about 3 miles from the cottage (they also have water activities). We would highly recommend booking any restaurants in advance, especially at weekends as we didn’t get in a few due to peak season & we were a family of 3 (can only book if there are 5 in a few places we tried). Our evenings relaxing in the hot tub will be missed! I did cook a few times in the cottage and there is everything you could possibly need available to you. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay & we would love to return at some point.

Thank You for the great review and we're glad you managed to cram in so much fun stuff. As you have mentioned restaurants do get booked up during the high season. We've updated our website to make that point and to ensure the contact details for the local restaurants are up to date. We do look forward to welcoming you again in the future. We received a warm welcome from the hosts Gregg and Ursula, who are both lovely by the way. The holiday home gave us everything we needed and was spotless from top to bottom. We loved making use of the Hot tub and the BBQ and all the other facilities that were available. If you visit here (recommend you do) there is a really good walk round the back, up to the top of the hill which is stunning. We have booked again next year as we loved it that much.

Thank you so much for the lovely review. The hill behind us (Garn Bentyrch) does indeed offer some fantastic views across the Peninsular. We are so looking forward to welcoming you back next year. Kind regards Greg and Ursula Property Owner

Ursula and Glen have put a lot of thought and care into the property and a result it is incredibly comfortable and would highly recommend it. They are excellent hosts. The property is very well located with lots to do within an hours drive of the property, including Mount Snowdon and Portmerion. Lots of lovely pubs and beaches near by. We all had a fabulous week in North Wales Louise, Gavin, Laura and Jonathan

Thanks for the lovely review and kind comments. Portmerion is certainly an amazing place to spend a day. We still find it a little surreal to have our own Italian Village right in the heart of North Wales and just down the road. Thank you. Property Owner

The owners were very welcoming and were a delight to meet and talk to. We mixed local days out to National Trust sites, Ffestniog railway, Sygun copper mine, Criccieth and Porthmadog with trips up Snowden, a day out on Anglesey (Sea Zoo is fab) and even a trip to Bodnant gardens. Also saw Top Gun at the Pwhelli cinema one evening. A great place to stay, and we'll be returning in the future.

Thank you for the kind review, it was great to meet you and your family. We are so happy that you were able to pack so much in to the week, and that you were able to enjoy such great weather too. Bryn Aber Bach is a beautiful cottage. The ensuite bedrooms are spacious and have plenty of drawers and wardrobes (with enough coat hangers even for me). There's a proper rustic feel in the lounge with its inglenook fireplace and log burner. A fully equipped light and airy kitchen opening onto the back garden with the fabulous hot tub, garden furniture and gas BBQ. We used the hot tub every night after a long day out walking in the countryside and the lovely local beaches. We have really enjoyed everything about the cottage and its location. We will definitely be back. The owners Greg and Ursula were absolutely brilliant. Very helpful and lovely to chat to. Overall we have had a fantastic stay here - one of the best we've ever stayed in for cleanliness, facilities, location and friendliness. See you soon Bryn Aber Bach!

The dogs also loved their holiday and had such fun on the local beaches (as did we). The cottage is in a lovely quiet location, just the lambs and birdlife to listen to. There was also easy access to Snowdonia as well as the coastline. So much more to explore though... Thanks Greg and Ursula for a lovely holiday in your holiday home. We hope to be back!

The cottage is lovely, clean and comfortable and has everything you need with a perfect little enclosed garden for our 2 dogs. Ursula and Gregg (and Bella) were fantastic and we loved the welcome hamper and home made brownies and treats for our dogs. Always so friendly and helpful and were so kind to offer us a lift to the nearby pub on our last night. The hot tub is stunning, its huge and so relaxing after exploring all the nearby beaches and mountains. The cottage is within 20-30min drive from most places. Highly recommend nearby beaches such as Llanbedrog, Abersoch and Black Rock Sands our dogs loved it! Also highly recommend the Ty Coch Inn pub which is about 20min drive, lovely spot for a pint and very dog friendly. There is also a really nice dog friendly pub/restaurant called the Cliff here to which was great (we actually ate here on 2 occasions) and very welcoming, hosts a brilliant pub quiz on a Thursday evening! I would recommend booking places to eat in advance as it was quite busy for mid week in April. There is an Asda store about 10mins away so easy enough to pick up essentials and the cottage is well equipped if you fancy and evening in. Thank you again so much for a lovely stay, we will certainly be back and recommending to friends! Aynsley, Callum, Kathryn, Simon, Indie & Ianto :)

Thank you so much for the lovely review. It was great to have you stay in Bryn Aber Bach and we are so glad you had such a wonderful time. !! What can we say..? We had the most wonderful Christmas at Bryn Aber Bach from the moment of arrival until departure. We were warmly welcomed by Ursula, Greg and the beautiful Bella and given a brief tour of the cottage. We were also welcomed with some wonderful home baked scones, jam and mince pies as well as some essentials - milk, welsh butter and cheese and some fabulous peanut butter and banana treats for our dog, Dotty. The cottage had been tastefully decorated for Christmas. The cleanliness was impeccable as were all the facilities, everything you could wish to use in the kitchen is on hand and no detail as been left out even down to everything Dotty needed, The bedrooms are wonderfully decorated and comfortable as are both bathrooms. The Hot tub is absolutely amazing - we spent many an hour warming ourselves listening to the owls and other woodland creatures. Ursula and Greg were on hand for anything that was needed (We ran out of logs one evening and they were more than happy to supply more) but kept a respectful distance even offering to Doggy sit when we went to Portmeirion for the afternoon. Their communication was great and non intrusive - for example, messaging us before coming round to check the hot tub. On Christmas Day we were given some home made chocolate truffles which were absolutely delicious! We thoroughly felt at home whilst staying and cannot wait to return, it is a beautiful cottage, fantastically decorated and catered for and we cannot wait until we can visit again - we really did not want to go home! After staying in many self catering cottages over the years this is by far the best equipped, cleanest, furnished and friendliest place we have stayed. Thank you so much Ursula, Greg and Bella -we hope to return soon. Craig, Sarah, Jack and Dotty.

Cosy and clean with everything you could ever need. Everything was brand new, they provided milk, bread, butter, cheese, chocolate, coffee, sugar etc which was very thoughtful along with a card to greet us personally. Hot tub is huge. The surrounding area is beautiful. The washer drier and dishwasher was very handy. Owners live next door which we didn't know prior to booking as we like to see nobody on our secluded holidays but they were very curtious. They provided for our dogs too. Treats, blankets, poo bags and dishes. Which was a lovely touch. Only thing I would say is that the listing says two smart televisions but it's only the one which is in the bedroom. But that's only a small bit of feedback as everything else was spot on perfect. Cottage and the rooms down to the carpets were very comfortable and well done.

Thanks so much for your lovely review. We are really pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Thank you also for pointing out about the TV. The listing has now been updated to reflect a smart TV in the lounge and a Freeview TV in the Master bedroom. We wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. Property Owner
