  • "A wonderful period farmhouse in a beautiful rural setting."

I guess I could wax lyrical about this cottage for more than a few sentences but I will restrain myself! Open the door and you are greeted with a very well appointed and spotlessly clean home. No tired looking furniture, dated kitchen or amenities here! Everything was of a very high standard. So nice to find included, a welcome pack of milk, tea, coffee and biscuits, even logs for the log burner. Small things that make such a good impression. In my opinion holiday cottage rentals cannot get better than this. Thank you Mena for understanding what people want when renting a home from home at a reasonable price! I’m sure it’s one we will wish to stay at again at some future date.

We were a group of ladies enjoying a weekend celebrating a birthday and Tai Ucha delivered everything we needed! The cottage is beautifully kept and very clean, it had everything we needed (all kitchen utensils and utilities). We had the added pleasure of beautiful weather meaning the outdoor space and hot tub was used all weekend, which was also maintained throughout our stay. Meena is a lovely host and her communication from the moment we booked was fantastic. I was able to ask all sorts of questions and she responded within 24hrs (usually straight away) with recommendations and advice. Cerrigydrudion is a quiet village but the pub, The Saracens Head, that was recommended to us for food, did not disappoint. An overall superb weekend and we would not hesitate to book again with Meena. Thank you from all of us!

Upstairs the bedrooms were comfortable and thoughtfully decorated. The Bathrooms were large, clean and modern. There was a selection of games to entertain us during our typical British Summertime stay. The hot tub was great, the kids enjoyed by day and the grown ups in the eve. Mena was an attentive host, she was in touch a few times over our stay and I would recommend her to anyone considering a stay. The area is amazing. So beautiful with lots of options for activities. Middle of nowhere but that's the point! Nice yard for chilling out, but no real garden (ie for kids running around, ball games etc) Next to a working farmyard so not the quietest but no problem. Two very friendly yard cats, but knew they weren't allowed inside. Lovely inside, lots of space and very comfy. We had 8 guys for a stag do and brought a few double airbeds, no problem. Barbeque is more of a paella pan on on gas, and could have more frying pans, but otherwise well equipped. Host was lovely and topped up the hot tub when we had an overflow (just about fit 8 fully grown [very friendly] men, which is impressive).
