"Washing machine where you put the soap was filthy, vacuum cleaner smelt of dog and the bag was completely full and we had to change it , some pots had to be washed before use, underneath cooker hood was filthy, top shelf with glasses was sticky and filthy."
The noise from the upstairs bathroom very loud and also the noise happened when we turned the taps on. On the whole, the cottage was in a good position, just a shame the above points spoilt it a little. We’ve used your properties on a few occasions but this was not your best.

"Lovely property, location fab."
Front room has plenty of space. Parking on road but plenty of space. We left items there and they contacted us to return it which was a lovely touch.
Stairs to the attic room are steep.
Thank you for your comments. We are glad you enjoyed your stay.

"Lovely property and exactly as described."
Well equipped kitchen and lovely lounge/ dinning area. Good selection of books and games provided. Small garden with decking at the back, with an access gate leading to an area where the lake can be viewed. The garden wall is quite low, so if you have a big dog you may need to keep it on a lead. A lovely location for walks and use of the lake.

"Perfect location for a writing retreat."
Fantastic views and blessed with fine weather. I worked in the garden and had a walk every day and swim in the lake every evening. Poblado Coffi on the road to the quarry highly recommended.

"Had a lovely stay in the cottage- it was in a fab location with a beautiful circular walk around the lake straight from the door and only a 5 minute drive to local shop/takeaway."
The kitchen was well equipped and the cottage deceivingly large. The garden was secure and offered a gorgeous view of the lake and hills behind. The central heating worked well and the log fire was lovely and cosy.
The only downsides were that the sofas and beds weren't particularly comfortable.
I'd love to come back in the summer to do the lake walk again when a little less soggy!

"The property had a really comfortable vibe that made us completely relax."
There is ample crockery, storage and food storage space.
The garden is nicely enclosed with fab views over the scenery, with access to lake views.
The access to the lake for locals is outstanding and we went at least once everyday.
Reported a few maintenance issues with owner, smoke detector in lounge missing, cooker hood extractor switch broken and twin room ceiling light not working, the owner said they are in hand.
Also, we did find that a few of the dining chairs were wobbly and the tv remote control was a bit unresponsive.
Overall we would definitely recommend this property with the dogs, it's ideal.

"The area is interesting for hiking and to see the traces of mining."
The house is nice, we liked our stay, unfortunately there were no towels.
The agency gets negative criticism from us because never anyone gave help in problems or even answered.
Thank you for your feedback. The property is advertised without towels. I will however speak with the agency about their availability during your stay and I am sorry you found that aspect challenging. The homeowner

"Location wise the property was good."
The property is in need of TLC. The property was not cleaned satisfactory, the sofa and chairs were worn, uncomfortable and covered in dog hairs, the decor could do with being updated, especially in the living room. The noise from the toilet system, and the floorboard in the loft disturbed the sleep of others.
Health and safety wise, is the loft space acceptable? Due to no doors and the steep stair way?
Garden view is lovely , decking high and a fall hazard for children.

Thank you!
The best thing about this property is - views from the window, especially loft bedroom. And piano.
The property had everything that was listed.

"We had a lovely stay in this great cottage."
Felt like going from home to home, in a beautiful location. Wish we could have taken the views back with us. Well equipped cottage, the only downsides were the loft bedroom is very noisy during bad weather/rain especially at night; the toilet seat was not attached in upstairs bathroom making it practical impossible to use that toilet; and each bed had a different hardness of mattresses and pillows which was fantastic for chosing which one suited you best, but due to steep stairs to loft, it limits who is able to access that bedroom. However this is entirely understandable. We had an amazing time during our stay with lots of brilliant places to visit nearby. A great location for walking and exploring, but also travelling to surrounding areas.

"A lovely cottage, and beautiful setting, quiet and with lovely views both sides."
All was clean and well maintained.
Pros and cons to all 3 bedrooms:
Loft bedroom has the best views and best bed, and black-out blinds in the window, but the steep and uneven staircase is unenclosed with no door so less private and hard to block out light and noise from the rest of the house. Being a loft room, much of the space is too low to walk upright in. Our kids loved hanging out in there.
Small double bedroom (middle floor) has a useful built in cupboard and is fine except for having the bathroom macerator the other side of the thin internal wall from the bathroom. The macerator is about as subtle as a pneumatic drill when in use.
Twin bedroom has lovely views but mattresses are not great (very wobbly).
Living-dining room is comfy, but sofa seating seats 4 comfortably or 6 at a squash. Piano is a nice extra, if you are not fussy about the tuning. WiFi worked well (no phone reception in the area).
Kitchen although small is well equipped.
Although I have outlined some niggles above, we had a lovely stay here. There was lots to do within a reasonable drive (and despite the apparently remote location, a fabulous coffee shop within walking distance!) and the cottage was comfortable for hunkering down in when rain stopped play.

"Lovely spot, in a quiet area."
House has lots of extras ie books, DVDs, OS Maps, which makes it homey. Lake at the back has new notice of no BBQ, no kayaking, no paddle boarding. There is a leak in the kitchen roof which needs sorting, but otherwise great stay with lots of lovely walks nearby.

"A little concerned by the very steep stairs to the loft bedroom and loose handrail."
The light does not work in the shed accommodating the washing machine, and when endeavouring to get the light to work ,turned on both light switches adjacent to the back door, and saw sparks coming from an extension lead ,kept on top of the washing machine. Turning off the light switches and unplugging the extension lead made a temporary fix.

"No towels were provided despite the individual listing stating that they would be."
The wifi did not work and because the property has no phone reception we had to travel miles down the road to get in touch about the property.
The problems were reported and we were told that someone would visit the property if we left the key in the lockbox, no one visited the property and we heard nothing more from you.
I find this really disappointing and to be very poor customer service

"This was a nice house in a very beautiful location."
Check in and out were very easy, and lots of detailed information was provided for guests. Our only issue was that we have small children, and the only room where a travel cot could fit was the attic room. We weren't expecting this, as the booking suggests that children can be easily accommodated. Going up and down an extremely steep and narrow-stepped stairway with a baby and a two-year-old was treacherous. Also, as it's the attic room, you can hear absolutely everything from below and also everything going on in the room, so the other people we were staying with could hear our children throughout the night, and as they are also early risers, this was disruptive. Also, do bring your own hand soap and toilet roll, as these were in short supply and we needed to replace these in the house on day two. If we didn't have children with us though, this would have been an ideal place to stay as it really is lovely.
