To the rear of the cottage is the kitchen, the heart of every house but holding a cosy space, here you can find a good range of appliances to assist the chef of the group in all of your culinary requirements.
At the end of each of your fun-filled days, take rest in either of the two well-presented bedrooms; the double room, and a charming twin room tucked away under the eaves of the second floor, ideal for the little ones, the layout of the property is perfect for a family of four.
Spend some time together in the rear courtyard as your furry friend plays freely beneath the sunset.
The immediate area of the property is fairly remote, making it a great spot to pack up a picnic and take a stroll along the Menai Strait, before heading into the famous area of Menai Bridge with its wide selection of eateries and an enticing heritage exhibition.
There's no better access to mainland Wales than over the Menai Bridge, bringing you to the natural beauty that is Snowdonia National Park, promising an outdoor experience like no other with unforgettable landscapes at its peak.

Such a beautiful place to stay .
Has everything you need for your stay ,very clean and comfortable. All the mod cons . Fantastic shower . Kitchen fully equipped. Comfy bed with extra throw in cupboard if needed. Highly recommend a stay here would definitely stay again..
The house itself is lovely and the view of the estuary is amazing.
There is everything you need for your stay. The bedding was good quality and the towels were fluffy and soft! The small slabbed garden was great for our dogs and secure. Garden furniture was good too. If I may make a couple of points. I would suggest a foot stool or two for the living room, we're spoied by recliners at home. Maybe a small welcome hamper with milk, tea and also salt and pepper. Otherwise we liked it enough to return. We also made use of a Sainsburys delivery the day we arrived. This saved travelling to Bangor.

Kitchen lacks cooking utensils, chipped casserole dish , fridge had a broken door shelf , fridge and freezer too small. Bathroom excellent shower Bedding pour quality duvet dirty and shabby Front and back garden overgrown plants Patio area untidy Overall we enjoyed Anglesey and Sea view location Sea view requires some attention for a more comfortable stay

Following your comments, I have personally visited the cottage and checked the points you raised. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking utensils and equipment for guests, and everything is in place. Thank you for bringing the chipped casserole dish to our attention - this has now been replaced. The cottage has a standard integrated under-counter larder fridge with an ice box, which we feel are appropriate for a holiday cottage of this size. With regard to the broken fridge door shelf, this was not damaged prior to your stay and was unfortunately found to have been broken during your visit. Menai Holiday Cottages will be contacting you separately regarding this. I was also concerned to read your comments about the quality of the bedding. The bedding provided at Sea View is from Dorma and John Lewis, brands we have specifically chosen for their quality and comfort, so I was disappointed that it did not meet your expectations. We will, of course, check any individual items showing signs of wear and replace them where necessary. Gardens can grow quickly at this time of year. We’ve trimmed back recently, but if anything feels off during a stay, its best to contact us straight away, and that way we can put it right while you carry on enjoying your holiday. We do appreciate constructive feedback, as it allows us to address anything that genuinely needs attention. The cottage was very clean and cosy and the view from the lounge and bedroom windows was beautiful.
It is also in a perfect place for all the local towns and amenities. We loved our time there and would definately go again.

The house was very nice and the views were amazing.
The kitchen was well stocked with items to cook with. Plenty of dvds board games or books for a rainy night in or just to unwind after a day out. A good walk of 1.2 miles to town. Need a car to travel or take public transport to visit places of interest. Booked for next year before we left.

A lovely clean and comfortable place to stay.
Bed was good, and I am fussy over mattresses! Main bedroom was really spacious and had a long mirror which we needed as we were attending our son's wedding. Very clean and perfect for our dog who respected the holiday home! A further attic bedroom was also really big. Just be aware of some wires that are on the floor, cable maybe. Kitchen has everything you need and there's a downstairs loo. Main bathroom had a brilliant walk in shower. Handy location as our wedding afternoon tea was literally over the road in the Chateau Rhianfa! Was worried about the traffic noise but it wasn't a problem, slept soundly. Only niggle is the couch which is a bit small but you get lovely views to the water and the mountains so hey what's not to like! Central heating works well and Netflix was a welcome addition. We were really impressed and it felt like home the minute we got there so thank you very much for our lovely stay!

Very clean and comfortable everything we needed for a winter holiday. Location good, stunning views over the Menai straits. Very close to Menai Bridge and Beaumaris but a car is needed to get to both destinations. Would definitely book again.

Lovely accommodation, with the most amazing views of the Straits, and very conveniently placed only a short distance over the Menai Bridge.
I visited in a cold snap in November and the house was lovely and warm. Everything is provided to make it a home from home. I would be very happy to stay here again

We enjoyed a wonderful weeks stay at Seaview Cottage (our 2nd visit this year) and the property was as superb as the first visit.
It is located perfectly for accessing all of North Wales' beauty spots easily. The propert was immaculatrly presented and spotlessly clean with all amenities one could possibly expect at a very competitive price. The property was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable.
The views from the living room and the main bedroom were absolutely superb, views across the Menai Straits to the old part of Bangor University which is illuminated at night. The only problem was with the kitchen. Although there were12 wine glasses, there was no small ovenproof dish, or a clean hollowware dishes.There were three breakfast bowls and three pudding dishes. Also when we stayed before there was a fridge and a freezer, now there is only a very small fridge with a freezer section. We feel the owner needs to come and check on this before anyone else stays.

As with any holiday cottage, crockery and kitchenware do occasionally get broken or damaged by guests. We do our best to keep everything fully stocked, but if guests do not let us know when something has been broken or is missing, we are unfortunately not always aware that it needs replacing. We will certainly review the kitchen inventory following your comments. With regard to the fridge freezer, this was replaced as part of the complete kitchen refurbishment at the beginning of 2025. At that time, we chose a modern integrated fridge freezer which we felt was more in keeping with the needs of most holiday guests, who are typically staying for short breaks or a week or two rather than undertaking long-term catering. That said, we do appreciate that different guests have different requirements, and we are grateful for your comments. Thank you again for your feedback. This was a lovely little place, just a couple of things were amiss.
...there's no information on how the TV works, even though we're out most of the time, it's nice to have the choice of if we'd want to have it on when in the accommodation, as it is listed with a TV....otherwise a comfortable stay with great views across the water.

Sea view cottage is lovely and was very clean when we arrived .
We had a comfortable stay and had everything we needed especially plenty toilet roll , it would have been nice to have a small welcome pack with milk tea coffee and a couple of biscuits etc which we have received in all the other sykes properties we have stayed in . The only negative points are the bedside lamps in the main bedroom are very dim and it was impossible to read in bed as even the ceiling lights are not too bright either and the shrubs at the front door and the back gate need trimming as you get wet going in or out if it rains . We definitely enjoyed our stay and would book again in the future

Cottage was very clean and had everything you needed, if you have a dog be aware cottage is on a main road to the front,the rear garden is sealed with a gate.
Then a large open courtyard beyond. The only negative thing I would say is there is a lot of vegetation around the back of the property in the courtyard and over growing on the garden wall if you have a dog (Cocker Spaniel )that likes chewing beware of upset stomach’s. We would stay again location ideal for Menai Bridge A55 to Holyhead and A545 to Beaumaris

A really comfortable house with good beds, lovely shower and fantastic views over the Menai Straits.
The kitchen had everything we needed. Some things like the lounge carpet were a bit tired (which helped as we didn't fret about it with the dog) but everything was super clean. A bit more information about rubbish and recycling would have been helpful - the outdoor rubbish bin was full to the brim as I guess no-one knew which day to put the bin out and the was no information about recycling.

Thank you for our tremendous visit to your beautiful cottage, the property was superbly located between Menai and Beaumaris so accessibilty was very convenient.
The property was extremely comfortable, warm and well appointed in all areas including a very comfortable master bed. We can only rate this property as a maximum 5 out of 5 and would have no hesitation in both recommending it to others and hopefully visiting again in the future. Thank you. Dave.

The property was warm, clean and great for our needs.
The information sheet was excellent and easy to follow. The heating in the house was excellent and the bathroom facilities were excellent too. However, the oven needed cleaning both the main oven, grill and grill rack!!!!!! The fridge was a good asset but the freezer box had not been cleaned out and therefore full of ice!!!!!!! We also had to sweep out the back yard as that hadn’t been touched. The house is a little tired and may need touching up in the near future? It was fine for our needs.

We are surprised that you considered the cottage as tired. It had a new kitchen last winter together with new flooring to kitchen and hallway and a couple of years ago it had a new bathroom and boiler. We really hope that you enjoyed the view and exploring all that Anglesey has to offer

We last stayed at this property 10 years' ago.
The views across the Menai Straights and into the mountains are incredible. The house is good value but a little 'tired' now. The lounge carpet is very worn, the games room has gone replaced by an empty room and one chair. There are no instructions to anything! No instructions for the heating, general rules of the property ( Eg bin collections ), the oven etc. Normally in properties there is a folder or file of need to know things and a note of welcome. There was nothing. Loads of DVDs but no DVD player. Some old brochures re exploring the locality. A lot dated back to 2016 which we recycled. We sorted the rest for future visitors. Definitely no welcome pack of even milk on arrival which is rare in all the properties we have used. We did have an emergency number sent by Sykes. We didn't need to use it but left a note in the property at the end of our stay commenting on things in general. We had a lovely January holiday with great weather. The property was ok, just not the usual standard we have experienced.
Dear guests Thank you for your feedback. We have moved with the times and have an online guide on how to do the recycling and work the oven which Menai will have provided you with. The DVD player is in the side of the Tv and we subscribe to the basic SKY package to ensure there is loads to watch. The living room carpet is clean but as you correctly say is now looking a bit tire and is next on the list of things to be updated. We had hoped to get it done early this year but the cottage is so popular that it has been booked solidly! Best wishes Helen
Door handle on downstairs loo broken and kept falling off.
Radiator in main bedroom not working so room was cold and thermostat not easy to use- no instructions. Pillows in main bedroom really thin, but we too much. Bed was comfortable. Nice place to stay for a couple of days.

Lovely position overlooking over the sea. The only criticism would be the downstairs toilet made a terrible noise when it was flushed.

House clean and confortable and as described.
Whilst i understand owners choice re any welcome items , a couple of teabags and a pint of milk would have been very welcomed and was a miss. I don't consider basic housekeeping items such as cleaner/ detergent for toilets, a cloth/ sponge for the sink or even an extra bin bag maybe just 1 or even 2 dish tabs to be luxury or welcome items id say they were a necessity provision. Ive stayed in many many holiday rentals but felt that the sparsity of such fundamental items let this property down for me. This is meant as constructive criticism, holidays are just that. Noone wants to do a " big shop" for a mini break. The link withinin the sykes app re the property is also not really visible enough and may not be seen before arrival.

Sea View Cottage is a self catering property, and as such we do not provide food to the cottage. The cottage is always thoroughly cleaned between guests so extensive cleaning materials are not required but we do supply tea towls, oven mitts, dishcloths, a bin liner, towels, bathmat and loo rolls for each bathroom. As most guests only stay for a few nights this is usually sufficient although we are always on call to provide assistance to guests should they have specific requirements. This is a lovely place to stay with all you need to hand.
My friend and I thought a mat at the front door would be an idea to stop wet shoes on floor(we took our shoes off at the door of course) Also a bathmat to be available for safety reasons.

Excellent property in a good location.
The only criticism is lack of information. We are enthusiastic recyclers. We eventually found a waste bin outside a neighbouring property but couldn’t find any information about recycling.

Comfortable stay, lovely views across the menai straights.
Would of liked information leaflets regarding TV, recycling. Local area facilities etc. but none were available, and the bedroom TV did not have a signal at all, so couldn't be watched. Other than these minor things we had a enjoyable holiday and would recommend to others.
Extremely clean except for the tins in the oven which all needed to be replaced.
There was no Information pack at the house - would have been useful for heating, rubbish collection etc and tv use. Otherwise a lovely stay.
Hi I am so glad you enjoyed your holiday at Seaview Cottage. The first guests to experience our brand new kitchen! We are in the process of transfering over to an online portal for information about the cottage such has how to use the TV and the heating etc so appologies for the lack of paper copies during your stay. The App should make it much easier for guests to access information about the property both before and during their stay. Hopefully this will be up and sunning shortly. A great location for lovely view of the Menai Straits and easy access to Beaumaris and Bangor.
....very comfortable accommodation for a family of four...close and secure parking too.
We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay at Sea View Cottage. We live close by and love our views and the proximity od the local amenities. Parking is at a premium in this area with many properties having street parking only. Sea View Cottage has parking for two cars which makes it quite unusual.

Hi Thank you for your feedback, we have now got 4 chairs in the courtyard - I noticed just before your stay that the ones from last season had become a little wobbly so replaced them with two from our house while new ones were on order.

It's very clean, spacious and well equipped and parking was a bonus. Nothing to fault apart from the noisy toilet flush, which didn't really bother us but may I suggest blackout liners on the main bedroom window as the sunlight streams in very early.
Thank you for your 100% feedback. The cottage is bigger inside than you may imagine from the photos. We love tha separate kitchen - no need to sit looking at dirty dishes. Work on replacing this starts tomorrow so if you visit again, look out for the update!
The house was a perfect location to navigate around and has many local facilities, restaurants and towns to visit.
You can travel 10-20 miles in many directions to explore even more. The outlook of the house is stunning. Great stay, highly recommend.
Thank you for your 100% review. Sea View Cottage is wonderfully located - we live just up the road and enjoy the same stunning view. It is a great base for exploring not only Anglesey but also Snowdonia and towns such as Llandudno and Conwy.
Overall we had a good stay.
We did have a hot water issue on day two and an issue in the bathroom which the owner sorted out on the day. I also drew her attention to the noisy plumbing which she said would be fixed when the new kitchen is fitted. This is another hangover from last year. The other issue I brought to her attention is the state of the backyard. Very slippery in the wet due to algae and the overgrown plants attract lots of midges. The firethorn over the gate needs cutting back about six feet as you get wet going to the bin and is very sharp !!. On the subject of vegetation, the plants either side of the front door need cutting back as you have to brush past wet plants when coming in through the front door.

I am sorry that you had a problem with the hot water and am glad that my plumber was able to come out the same day to fix the issue - sadly these problems can happen in any home! I will ask that the knocking from the plumbing is looked at when the kitchen is replaced over the winter and hopefully that will resolve the problem, though I know that it is not always that straight forward. As I understand it, the knocking only happens sometimes when the downstairs loo is flushed. I have as you suggested cut back the fire thorn a little but generally our guests do like the privacy that the extra height affords. Best wishes Helen
Absolutely a gem of a place, with outstanding views Perfect location and very comfortable & cosy.
Everything we needed was there to hand . We have been visiting ANGELSEY for almost 40 years staying in caravans, bungalows, cottages ect and find this sea view cottage was the one for us hopefully retuning soon. Just a couple of pointers to consider… Main Bathroom 1st floor could do with a lock on the door. On arrival I had to cut back some of the hedges in the courtyard as there was a few overgrown thorny bush strands on the floor and having a dog could have stuck in her paws also had to sweep the yard as it was full off leaves .There was a very disgusting well used Baking Tray in the oven , I was so pleased I took my own , only small concerns but thought it best to mention them other than that ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. We went out every day and the weather was amazing

Sea View Cottage was ideal for our little break away.
Having just lost our mum and needing some peace and tranquillity, sea view cottage was just what we needed with beautiful views and being so close to one of our favourite towns Beaumaris.

Absolutely delighted with the whole experience.
Property was pretty immaculate and not furnished with cheap flat pack rubbish. Every conceivable thing there(except a vacuum), but that just meant they obviously didn't expect too much on the cleaning front. Beautiful location as well, and seriously good value for money. The view from the windows was beautiful and forever changing.
The cottage was clean but kitchen ready for upgrading.Had a lovely stay and would stay again.It was so convenient for all our trips
We enjoyed our stay at Sea View Cottage and the views were great.
Howefer, the kitchen is in need of an upgrade. The floor in particular is not very pleasant especially around the sink and bin area. Previous feedback responses mention that the kitchen was to be upgraded over the winter period but clearly this has not been done. There is an issue with the shower which we did mention to the cleaners. When using the shower the water goes hot and cold and we would advise the owners to get the boiler looked at. The only other thing we'd like to mention is the heating control. When we were in the cottage the weather was particularly wet and cold and we, therefore, spent a lot of time indoors in the house. The heating control would not allow us to put the heating on for longer than about 30 minutes during the day. We appreciate that the owner does not want people leaving the heating on all day if they are not there but we found this very inconvenient especially as it was a cold period whilst we were at the cottage.

We have had our heating engineer look over the central heating system and he could not find a problem. The boiler had just beed serviced before your stay and is only a couple of year old - I wonder if you were running a tap elsewhere in the house? I know that in my own house this can cause the shower temperature to change suddenly. I am sorry you had difficulties with the Nest heating control. we have it set so that if people go out it will turn the temperature down after a while. There is a motion sensor on it however, so if you are in the house it should not turn down. We only live a couple of minutes from the cottage so if guests have a problem we are usually on hand to help. We had planned to have the kitchen refurbished last winter however sadly, our kitchen fitters partner was very poorly and he was unable to do the work for us because of commitments to her hospital treatments. This will now hopefully take place when the cottage becomes quiet at the end of this year.
Great property and location.
We took our hoover as there didn’t seem to be one at the property. As we have a dog, we didn’t want dog hair left for the cleaner. Would book again for sure.

We had a lovely February weekend staying at Sea View when visiting Bangor University (only a 10 minute drive away).
We found the cottage very clean, nicely presented and with a lovely view over the Menai Strait. Parking is off-road in front of the row of houses and the cottage is very conveniently located close to a hotel with a very good restaurant. Normally we don't take properties which allow pets as we all have asthma which is usually triggered if pets have stayed previously. However we were really pleasantly surprised none of us experienced any asthma signs which is a testament to the cleanliness of the cottage. We were also delighted to meet the owner who came straight round to fix a very minor problem and was very helpful.

The cottage was in a great position and reasonably clean, however in view of Covid it could have been cleaner.
The outside areas were disappointing, the foliage by the front door was overgrown as was the backyard. I personally wouldn’t say the yard was suitable for dogs. We did realise it was only a yard prior to our stay in fairness. The garden furniture left a lot to be desired. The fridge freezer isn’t really fit for purpose, the freezer door doesn’t close properly and as a consequence the drawers froze and prevented safe use of the freezer as the door doesn’t close tightly. The soaps and washing up liquid had been watered down and weren’t suitable for use, a concern for hygiene purposes. There were no spare bin bags or toilet rolls. A disappointing stay and not the usual Sykes standard. The view was lovely.
Dear Guests I am glad that you enjoyed your stay and loved the view as much as we do. Thank you for letting us know about the freezer while you were staying. My houskeeper had only just defrosted it but came out straight away to defrost it for you again as we wondered if the door had not been fully closed and this is why it had iced up again so quickly. We think however that the door seal is failing and this is preventing the door from shutting tightly. Rather than just replace the unit we have decided to refit the whole kitchen over the winter. I am sorry that you did not feel the yard was suitable for dogs. The yard, as can be seen from the pictures on the website is only small but it is completely secure which is why we describe it as being suitable for dogs. It allows you to have the kitchen door open or to have the dogs in the yard with you without risk of anybody escaping! The cottage is self catering so although we leave a fresh toilet roll in each bathroom we do not provide spare toilet rolls, bin bags or washing up liquid. I think if there was washing up liquid left then this would have been from the previous guest and should have been removed by the house keeper.
We really enjoyed our stay at mews cottage , we felt comfortable staying there and would use it again.
We thought it was situated in a really good position to enable us to explore Anglesey plus the view was just lovely it was really relaxing. We weren’t left any new toilet rolls just a-few sheets from previous occupiers, the TV in the bedroom didn’t work but this wasn’t a problem for us as we don’t watch TV in the bedroom. And the downstairs TV lost its signal on the last day of our stay.
Dear Guests Thank you for your lovely review. I am sorry to hear that there was not a fresh loo roll in each bathroom when you arrived. My appologies, there should have been and I have had a word with the housekeeper. We have had a couple of instances of the TV in the living room losing signal - it uses a freesat box and if it gets jiggled the connection can be lost. We have therefore arranged to have Sky installed so that this will not be a problem for guests in the future.
The property is in a great area and immaculately presented - impeccably clean and lovely furnishings - ten out of ten for cleanliness.
However, it could be improved by the following which in our opinion would make it perfect; Providing basics such as additional bin liners, toilet rolls (we had to buy some as less than half rolls in both wcs.), even just salt and pepper sachets as we didn't think to bring these with us. Downstairs wc is carpeted which we feel is very unhygienic. TV in main bedroom needs to be on the facing wall as was on such a low small unit we couldn't see it so had to use our suitcase as a stand! Dressing table and mirror are on different walls so you're stood up putting makeup on/drying hair when simply moving the mirror above the dressing table would make a lovely sat down experience. On the day of our departure we received an email asking us to leave the property as we'd found it but there were no cleaning products - not even dishcloths so we did our best with hand wipes we had brought and we vacuumed throughout. In terms of dogs, the flagged back yard is tiny and whilst toy or smaller less "country" dogs may be fine, our two Welsh Collies struggled for space and toileting so we had to keep taking them out in the car to find grassed areas which were not within walking distance. A few tweaks and this place is really perfect and it's clear to see the owners really care about the the experience they're presenting.

Being self catering, we do not supply bin liners, spare toilet rolls or condiments etc. There should have been a fresh loo roll in each bathroom however so I am sorry if this was not the case. The cottage yard is small ( as can be seen from the pictures on the website.) It is however completely secure. For tolieting, we always recommend a walk up Lon Brynteg or Lon Ty Mawr both of which are tarmacadamed and classed as footpaths. They are both a 2 minute walk of the cottage and a fairly much vehicle free. This is where I tend to walk my own dog!
Overall a great location with good facilities.
We had an issue with the bed which the owners fixed to our satisfaction. There were couple of things that would make this property even better. Fridge freezer is very old, with dodgy doors and no temperature control. The cleanliness of the loo brush left a lot to be desired. Finally the plumbing in the downstairs loo was very noisy, with water hammer after you flush, a very easy thing to correct. We hope these things are corrected as we have booked again for next year.

Sea view cottage is in a stunning location.
It was nice to have hassle-free parking. The property itself is very welcoming, well planned, and very cosy, it has everything you would need for an enjoyable holiday. A cosy bolthole to return to at the end of your day. We think the shower deserves a special mention, it was simply perfect, and it scored 10/10 from everyone. The views from all front windows are stunning. Highly recommended, we hope to return very soon.

We brought 2 dogs with us and specifically checked with you whether they could be left alone and were given a blanket answer of no.
We had the need to contact the owner of the holiday home whilst staying to address a small issue, they called in on us as live locally and they couldn’t have been more welcoming of the dogs and where in fact very supportive of us leaving them alone there with no need to use the crate we always use. You blanket not leaving them response is against the owners opinion and will prevent us using you again to book homes.

Excellent place to stay.
Clean, comfortable and the grass fire and central heating meant that it was a warm place to go back to after even being out in storm Eunice. The owners, who live nearby, responded quickly to a minor problem. Well worth the money and I would definitely recommend the house to anyone.
I am so glad you had an enjoyable stay and felt that you our cottage represents fair value. The boiler was new during lockdown and does keep the place super warm!

They were little things that should have been done before our arrival.
No Welcome Pack, No Replacement (Toilet Rolls) . Television not working, had to contact the owners to sort this out. The sitting area at the back, very untidy the chairs dirty. The BARBACUE needed cleaning (disgusting) state. Empty Hand Wash, left in the Bathroom / Kitchen. Had it not been for one of the Agency Cleaning staff, still on site This holiday could have been spoilt from the start. When the owners of No 3 Sea View Cottage, came to see to the TV. Both my partner and myself made Mr &Mrs Corson aware of what had happened. They said they were going to speak with the Agency. On a positive side the property was very well presented, plus the view out of the front of the house . Picture Postcard After all that had happened we enjoyed our stay at the cottage.

Due to early arrival without confirmation the cleaner didn't manage to fully complete the changeover, this however would of been completed by check in time of the property. We frequently return to this property as it is within walking distance of relatives.
The property is always clean and well maintained. WiFi access is good. The heating is effective and the house warms up quickly. The property is set back from the road in a small complex which is a mix of permanent residents and holiday lets. It’s quiet and peaceful. There are excellent views across the Menai Straits and Snowdon.
Firstly there needs to be a owners folder in the property, this is the first time that this has not been available covers things like WiFi password, this was sorted out in the end after a couple of phone calls and then the owner popping it round, the folder would also cover when bins go out, phone numbers etc.
Apart from a vacuum, there was no broom, brush and dustpan or mop! And the outside are was a mess, full of weeds over grown bushes, and slabs were green with algae needed power washing! if we could have sat out we wouldn’t have wanted too. Also the widow frames in bedrooms needed a good clean and the windows throughout the property wanted cleaning, very foggy looking. ( have pictures if you wish to see them) The grill in the oven doesn’t work either, found that out on last night there On a more positive note bathroom is the best we have ever had when we’ve been away Perhaps someone should go and check on my feedback!
Owners Folder - we were asked to remove this by Menai Holidays when the property reopened after lock down because of the risk of cross infection. The Wifi code is available within the property and I have made a point of visiting each set of guests since we reopened to touch base and discuss the bins etc. Missing mop, dustpan etc. All were present when we reopened after lock down and after reading your review, I have replaced all of these items. Heaven only knows what has happened to the last ones. Courtyard - This is cottage garden in style rather than being terribly constrained. I am sorry if this did not suit. The whole courtyard is flagged and being north facing does get a little discoloured by the end of the season. This will be addressed when the property becomes quieter in November and I cannot imagine that it would have stopped you sitting out. Both the Oven and Grill work perfectly. If you had a problem with them during your visit you could have contacted Menai and I would have been more than happy to come and show you. A couple of the double glazing units have started to blow giving them a slightly hazy appearance, we try to do some improvements to the cottage each year, last year we fitted a new bathroom, boiler and renewed certain pieces of furniture. These blown units are on my list of things to get done but COVID-19 has eaten into the money we will have for such improvements this year. If I felt that the windows were likely to spoil any body's holiday then they would have already been replaced.
Bit of a glitch with the freeview box connection but this was soon sorted by the owners of the house.
We had a wonderful time. Sea View is a beautiful cottage, ideally situated with stunning views of the Menai Straits and mountains and Beaumaris and Menai Bridge are very close by. We would certainly love to stay at Sea View again and hopefully, will have another holiday there soon. Cleaning: I’m not sure there was a thorough inspection by the cleaners before our stay as there were two open boxes of cereals in a cupboard and in a bedroom cupboard a very nice beach/shopping bag had been left behind. We reported these and left them. Hope they’ve been removed!
The seaview cottage has wonderful views and is ideal as a base to explore Anglesey and North Wales.
The cottage has all the amenities to cook at home and provides washing facilities. The bedrooms are ample for an adult family of four and is comfortable for unwinding after a day out sightseeing. This is our second visit and we always look for vacancies for sea view cottage when staying in Anglesey
