  • "We had a really good week at Dolafon, despite very windy weather."

The house was provided with everything we needed. The late afternoon and evening sun pours into the big windows making it a lovely place to relax after a days walking. Garden was great too. Access to the house is through narrow gates with sharp turn - tricky for big vehicles and anxious drivers but loads of space to park once you arrive. So one of our party left her car at the end of the lane where it was quite safe.

Thank you for great feedback and delighted you enjoyed your stay. Pleased you enjoyed some sun also - it’s a sun trap in the lounge and garden when it does come out! Would welcome you back anytime. Many thanks and kind regards. Property Owner

  • "Dolafon is a beautiful house, with excellent facilities and grounds."

I’d recommend this to anyone, especially if they have a family. There’s plenty of parking too. As you’d expect, given the area, you do have to access a private road which is small, but this is in keeping with the area and adds to the privacy of your stay.

Thank you very much for your lovely feedback. Extremely pleased you enjoyed your stay and loved our house/area. It really does mean a lot to us. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Kind regards. Property Owner

  • "This is the second time at Dolafon, this time we took the grandkids in the school holidays."

This is a lovely quiet place, comfortable, no traffic noise, plenty of space for the children and everything kitchen wise. We will definitely go back sometime in the future. Spoke to the owner Vicky who was very friendly and helpful.

Thank you again for leaving such lovely feedback. Absolutely delighted you returned and had a great time again, and lovely to hear the grandchildren also loved it - such a beautiful area for all ages. As usual, we would welcome you back at anytime. Best regards. Property Owner

  • "The cottage was lovely and spacious with everything we needed for a nice New Year's trip away including a well-stocked kitchen in terms of pots, pans, and utensils."

It's about a 10 minute walk to the local shop/garage and 15-20 minutes to the nearby pub/restaurant which was very handy. There is a huge garden with views across the fields and it's in the perfect location for access to walks and beaches. Only down-side is there isn't a bath in the shower room but that didn't detract from the stay at all!

This is, yet again, another lovely review so thank you very much indeed. It really does make us happy we have catered to the best of our ability for our guests. Extremely pleased you liked the house, views, location and more. Wishing you a Happy New Year and happy to welcome you back anytime. Best regards. Property Owner

  • "This property is great."

I would highly recommend this property for families. It has wonderful bedrooms downstairs and upstairs. The kitchen has everything you need. It's garden is massive and was brilliant for my two beagles. No way out boy's. Can't wait to go back next year.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. So pleased you loved it and had a great time, especially your dogs! Our dogs have always loved the garden too, and the surrounding lanes - it’s such a very special place for us. Look forward to welcoming you back next year! Kind regards Property Owner

  • "This was a really lovely cottage, with plenty of space."

The Patio/doors window overlooking the garden and skyline was great. The place was clean, tidy and had everything we needed. The nice garden will be good for children, so we have decided to go back in 2024 with the grandchildren, as they will love it(booked). Morfa Nefyn is a lovely area, and Morfa Cove beach is superb for a walk when tide is out. A very nice weeks stay. Only minor negative would be access, (two sets of gates) and a very narrow access track, that was a surprise as not mentioned in the description, but once done, it was easy after that.

Thanks for your kind comments on the house and location and great to hear you had a lovely week. We do take every comment/recommendation on board as it enables us to be more informative to potential guests. Therefore we have updated our ‘directions to the house’ to mention a short single track lane, with places to pass. This is more accurate so thank you for pointing this out and we look forward to welcoming you back next year! Best regards Property Owner

  • "Lovely house great location Only point was the access I have a big vehicle which I only just got in and no other parking available."

Appreciate the access is limited and wouldn't put me off coming back

Thanks for your kind comments about the house and location, always great to hear from a guest. I think, from what I can gather about your comments about the parking, you have probably parked on the drive of the house next door! Our property is all of the grassed area behind the gate so plenty of room for several cars. Very happy to hear you would love to come back again also. Best regards. Property Owner

  • "Very peaceful and isolated property , great garden , secure for the dog and sun all day long ."

Fantastic for getting to local beaches , dog friendly and clean . Would return for another visit so convenient for both coast lines of the Llyn peninsula

Again, delighted you liked the property and the peace and quiet of the garden and surrounding fields. The village alone is full of things to do and see so pleased you explored it, and further afield. It’s truly a beautiful place and in an ideal location for exploring other amazing areas of the peninsula and we look forward to welcoming you again in the future. Best regards Property Owner

Excellent amenities - shop close by. Excellent pubs including the Ty Coch right by the beach! Excellent golf club. Excellent touring base for Snowdonia and Abersoch. Overall - truly excellent. Will definitely be making a return trip.

  • "What an absolute GEM of a place!"

Everything was spotless. The kitchen cupboards were packed full of equipment, even bin liners, kitchen foil, Tupperware tubs for beach, dog bowls, washing up liquid and much more! The furniture was comfortable and very homely. Massive secure garden, perfect for young children and pets. Also the sun is on the back garden until it goes down. Beach is a couple of minutes drive away or a nice walk. There is no upstairs toilet which would have been useful but was fine. Apart from that this place was perfect and I would highly recommend. We will definitely be returning to explore more of north Wales.

Absolutely thrilled you loved it and thank you very much for your kind words. Our aim is for all our guests to have a stress free break, so have tried to equip the house/garden accordingly. We look forward to welcoming you back. Best regards. Property Owner

  • "Lovely comfortable spacious cottage in a peaceful location with a large grass garden where bats can be seen at night."

Kitchen and shower room both modern and well equipped, lounge furniture looked new. Only improvement I would make is to the downstairs double which could do with another bedside table and a full length wardrobe. Entrance takes a bit of manoeuvring with a large car between the 2 sets of gates but you soon get used to it. Would definitely recommend this cottage and would love to return.

Thank you for your kind feedback. It’s always a pleasure to hear that guests have enjoyed the house and it’s surroundings. Glad everyone had a great time and we take on board your feedback - much appreciated. Hope to see you again sometime soon. Kind regards. Property Owner

  • "This was a comfortable property and 10/10 for equipment."

However there were no instructions on how to use induction cooker, and after experiencing a serious cut on my leg on the oven door, there was no first aid box . Fortunately my husband had one in the car. When I arrived home I had to visit the minor injuries unit. Also access to the property was a nightmare. There was insufficient room to negotiate the two gates - they were not wide enough and involved backing to and fro before you could inch your way through. You had to go through the same procedure to exit.

Happy to hear you you enjoyed the property and the facilities. However, sorry to hear you cut your leg - there should be a fully stocked First Aid Kit under the kitchen sink or in the cupboard next to the freezer with the usual minor injury dressings etc - I will ask my cleaners to check this is still the case and that no one has taken it! I will also ask them to check the folder with the ‘Useful Information’ in as there are instructions in there for various kitchen appliances - if for some reason the cooker instructions are not there, I will get that sorted, sorry for any inconvenience. Whilst I agree the entrance to Dolafon is a bit unusual, and does take a bit of manoeuvring, there should be enough room to turn, and the garden is big so parking should not be an issue at all. It’s the original set up of the lane and dwellings so, unfortunately, nothing can be changed. I really hope this did not ruin your holiday as it’s very important to us that guests are happy and any concerns that can be rectified will be addressed. Best regards Property Owner

  • "The cottage was perfect I went with 3 Adult children so to each have own space was ideal."

We had two dogs who loved the garden so much. The only negative and it is petty would be to take away the ornaments that are not needed like vases and decor on the dressing tables, hall table etc and wicker chair, store the high chair. A guide for the TV is needed and the hob as you have to put a pan on it before it heats up. Otherwise truly fantastic place and we will be back for sure.

Really glad you loved your holiday and great to have such lovely feedback from you. Delighted the house and garden catered for all your needs and the whole family enjoyed it. We have taken your comments regarding the ornaments etc on board and will maybe reduce these so it doesn’t seem so cluttered. Thank you once again for your lovely feedback - you are most welcome to come back for a stay in the future. Property Owner

Thank you for staying at our house Dolafon. We are so happy you liked the house and it’s gorgeous views and really hope you and your family had a lovely time. We are so sorry to hear your concerns over the cleaners coming in, before you had left. Whilst I understand Easter is a very busy time of year for holiday lets, so the cleaners are all very busy and time is an issue, I must sincerely apologise for this. Please be assured that, moving forward, I will instruct the cleaners to knock and give some extra time for guests to leave that aren’t quite ready.
