It was truly the perfect getaway. The amenities were impressive, including a well-equipped kitchen and a lovely outdoor space for enjoying the fresh air. The cosy and modern interior design made every room inviting, with comfortable furniture and stylish decor that made us feel right at home. The location couldn't have been better; it was conveniently close to local attractions, restaurants, and shops, which made exploring the area a breeze. Plus, having parking facilities available made our stay even more convenient, eliminating any worries about finding a spot for our car. Overall, we really enjoyed every moment of our stay and can’t wait to come back!

We were lucky with the weather and able to enjoy the outside space, it was very hot but the property remained nice and cool. It was very clean and very well equipped with everything we needed - thanks

Wonderful 2 bedroom accomodation.

Extremely comfortable, cosy and beautifully decorated featuring some exposed brickwork. Parking to side of property - perfect for one car...... Tiered garden -enjoyed by my elderly dog Tia. (Although there are some steep steps to access garden but there is a handrail) Small area to sit outside back door without climbing steps.Small area at front of house with table and chairs. Ideal for morning coffee or evening drink. Lovely welcome pack including dog treats which Tia appreciated. Located in beautiful area of Wales. Went to Bala several times and Tia loved Barmouth beach. Would definately look forward to visiting Cartrefle again soon.

We had a lovely stay at this cosy cottage.

We really enjoyed the cottage it had everything you need. The peaceful quiet road was lovely so we sat outside in the morning. We left the front door and back door open to let a lovely breeze in as the weather was so hot. We would love to stay again

Cartrefle is such a lovely little cottage!

The host was very responsive and answered any queries we had. I stayed with 2 friends and it was the perfect size for us. It had everything we needed and more. Only a 5 minute drive into Bala with so much so to do - activities, water sports, and of course plenty of hikes and walking routes! We will definitely be staying again!

Very clean and comfortable.

The main issues we found were the shower which had poor water flow and the back garden being overgrown. We would like to thank the owner for the supplies for our dog which were greatly appreciated. This is a wonderful dog friendly cottage. The cottage is ‘hidden in plain site’. We eventually found it after driving around for quite a while. Perhaps giving a ‘What 3 Words’ reference would help.

Lovely cottage very well equipped and homely enjoyed Netflix and wood fire on our return from days out local dogs enjoyed stay too and although there is a road out front the gardens back and front are very secure for the dogs to roam we really enjoyed our stay like home from home but cosier x

Fantastic cottage in an unbelievable location.

You have the whole of Denbighshire and Snowdon national park on your doorstep. I thoroughly recomend the cottage, just a shame that Sykes are such a poor booking company. Zero customer care and when you eventually get hold of someone which can take a week !??!?! They are rude and unhelpful. Great holiday, just a shame it was so difficult to actually arrange with Sykes. We will not be using them again and i suggest whoever reads this avoids using them also.

Lovely cottage, nice and cosy, very comfortable and well cleaned.

Directions could be a little clearer, if you get to the very top of the hill you've gone too far! I'd request google-maps to update the exact location.

We had a fantastic stay, it is a well equipped little place and the location is brilliant, peaceful as you like and friendly neighbours.

Dog loved it as bala lake is only a few mins away and we took her down there for a run. Colwyn bay is only an hour away as is snowdonia national park, zip world at Betws y coed is not far and a good day out. If peace and quiet is what youre after you cant go far wrong with this little place, would definitely recommend.

Lovely cottage, nice touches everywhere and it smelt fab!

Ive already ordered the same diffuser. Nice crockery, mugs, glasses, everything you can possibly need. I loved the garden space but ive got a chihuahua and wasn't secure for a very small dog, medium to big it would be great. Be careful on small landing the stairway starts before the bedroom door ends, take a stair gate with a little one. Great location for days out. The only negative would be almost every draw and cupboard is full, so limited space to store things even the wardrobe had things in it. Wouldnt put me off returning though! The host seems to have thought of everything and the immediate area is lovely with friendly neighbours :)

We loved are stay, loved the cottage ,everything we needed, great garden & loungers, Beautiful area we thoughtfully recommend it (Only one problem be aware the side garden, was NOT dog prove our small terrier, got through side hedge garden, jumped down into next door garden we could not get him out,( thankfully another neighbour had a spare key)

Cartrefle was a lovely little cottage, just perfect for the two of us.

The home comforts and attention to detail were just right. Everything we needed for a perfect holiday.

Hi the cottage was a nice cottage except for the upstairs being very cold, actually freezing on the first two nights.

Did speak to the owner who replied she could not but the heating up to much due to being expensive. Replied saying they was plenty of blankets and electric blankets on the beds. I felt uncomfortable asking the owner to turn the heating up I was freezing during the night. We had to use extra wood logs to keep the house warm. Will enclose photos of the heating in the main room which the owner controlled from her end. Temperature being on 10. We decided to go home two days later. Not very happy with having to leave so early. Kind regards

Loved our stay every thing as stated peace and quiet was lovely cottage excellent.

The cottage were lovely and got everything.

.the cottage is cold at the night time and that the first cottage didn't leave any woods for the fire and it say got to buy your own woods from the shop that very surprise me

Overall a lovely cottage.

Extremely clean and presented. Great location, peaceful. Only negative was the garden. It just needs a good sweep of the fallen leaves that made the steps dangerous. And the furniture in the garden a wipe down. Parking the car was fine, just have someone wave you out. Thanks for a week of sunshine!!!

Lovely cottage, comfy and had everything we needed.

Only minus was access into road which was quite scary but we managed.

The sofas and single bed could be more comfortable.

Other than that a lovely country property and nice log burner and garden. Double bed comfortable. Very informative information folder.

The garden a complete letdown untidy and nothing like the picture and not small dog proof.

There should be a warning about the top of the stairs.

We had an enjoyable week in the cottage, the log burner was fabulous.

All the little extras are what make it that bit special i.e dog poo bags, torches, hi viz waist coat, spices, foil - things that you could easily forget to bring - but they provide them for you. Cottage was lovely and close by is Bala Lake and a short drive to most other places. Enjoyable, comfortable stay. The seating on one of the sofa's is a bit worn but apart from that all was fine.

Warm clean cozy everything was supplied by owner for us to enjoy a wonderful week in wales. We loved it the log fire and little garden where just the extra cherry on top of the cake Thankyou so much x

Just found the TV a little difficult to navigate, probably for most people using the cottage it wouldn't matter, but it was a retreat for us for the few days over Xmas so wanted to watch it, managed to get some viewings.

The cottage was perfect!

Very cosy and in a quiet location but only 5 minute drive to Bala. It had everything we needed and we loved the log burner! Thanks for a great stay ☺️

Had brilliant stay and would definitely come back

This is our second visit to Cartrefle and it was just as lovely.

It's the best equipped cottage we've ever stayed in, in Wales.

what an absolutely beautiful cottage.

Situated within easy reach of all the places we wanted to visit and more. The dog was spoilt with a dog bed, treats and plenty of walks. The cottage had everything we needed. We struggled to get the fire lit and felt it was a little cold at times but this didn't spoil our time there. We will definitely be back. Thank you for making our stay so memorable

Parking is dangerous as you cannot see up the road and vehicles come down fast.

Garden steps very slippery. Temperature set at 7 degrees in the bedroom so not warm enough. Otherwise cottage was comfortable.

Great cottage with everything needed for a pleasant stay will definitely try an visit again sometime next year .

This is a wonderfully modernized property with everything you need for a relaxing holiday.

To be critical as is typical of other holiday cottages it sleeps 3 so why are there 10 mugs, loads of wine glasses, 8 sets of crockery, more cushions than we could count etc which limits storage particularly for food and drink. Don't like not being able to control the heating ourselves. On property description add that it has a Tassimo coffee machine. Easier to buy beforehand! Duvet on the bed far too heavy and warm. Saying all that really enjoyed our stay and would book again

Myself, my son and I are just back from a lovely stay at Cartrefle.

Set in peaceful surroundings the cottage had everything we needed for a lovely relaxing stay.

Quirky little place with everything uoure likely to need for a great week away.

What a truly wonderful cottage to stay in.

A beautiful, quintessential British cosy cottage with style and comfort. It was the perfect setting for our holiday; a mixture of relaxing days and trips out. The location meant we were a short drive to a variety of quaint towns in Wales. The cottage had everything that we could need and more. We are so looking forward to staying again.

We had a lovely stay.

Cottage was very welcoming and well presented. Kitchen had all the utensils, cutlery, plates, dishes, etc, that you could image, plus more. Very clean and tidy. lovely enclosed garden, facing out onto the fields. Very peaceful and secure for our Luna. Ideal location for days out and about. A definite must for anyone staying here is to read the dog walk book, even if you dont have a dog. Would definitely return and recommend to family and friends.

Small but perfectly appointed, cartrefle is a stylish, comfortable and homely cottage with a large garden prefect for lazy summer BBQs.

Had a very relaxing week away with the dog, garden is nicely secured from the road. Made use of the dog walking book and both felt very comfortable during our stay. Paul and Troy

Had a very enjoyable stay at the cottage, it was clean and well equipped, we have a large SUV so a little hazardous parking in and exiting drive due to road being narrow and traffic coming down the hill, close to facilities in Bala being only a few minutes drive away.

The cottage is set in beautiful surroundings and we enjoyed the views to and from Bala

Cartrefel was lovely.

It is small. Everything you could possibly want was available in the cottage. Furnishing we’re lovely.Very welcoming and cosy lovely throws are available. The stairs are very narrow I think they could be if it form some carpet. We had a problem with the Tv I texted,the housekeeper was there very quickly and the problem was resolved. We were not able to use the back door as the scaffolding was still up from recent work on next doorThis ment we were unable to let the dog out,the cottage is on the road while not a main road it caused some concern.

Lovely homely cottage in an excellent position for the whole of North Wales

Cottage itself was nice but very disappointed with the work going on in next doors cottage.

I had read there was work on at the beginning of the year but thought it would have been complete at the end of April. The workmen were on the roof hammering most of the day and we couldn't sit out either at the back or the front. The back of our cottage was unsightly as well with rubbish from the work going on. I did note in the guest book that a 20% discount was given because of this situation, I haven't been offered that.

Such a lovely little cottage.

Full of character and very comfortable. Kitchen had everything you need, beds were comfortable and a nice bathroom. The only thing I would say is that the property owner had control of the heating so we couldn’t turn it up or down ourselves, it was cold in the cottage so we had to have the heater on most of the time and the heated blanket on the bed every night. It did say in the manual that we could message the owner to turn it up which we did the first night but we didn’t notice any difference.

We had a lovely week at the cottage, so comfortable and so well equipped, beautifully furnished, ideally placed to visit Harlech, snowdonia and Barmouth and great country walks within walking distance and spectacular scenery Great log burner kept us toasty warm.
