  • "We all enjoyed our week in Murmur Y Mor."

The house is in the centre of the village, with the Spar, pub and beach all a short walk away. The house has everything you would need for a week away and the kitchen is very well equipped. The smart switches are great once you work out how to use them, you can have music while you shower! We will definitely be back.

  • "Lovely stay, but, all disappointed at lack of hot tub, which was on, then off, then on again, then finally off."

We would not have booked it if we had known it was not working. Also lack of clothing space on the first floor. It was quite a novelty to live in a smart house.

  • "This stay got off to a very bad start when we arrived at the property to find the hot tub wasn't in use having been told by Sykes it was fixed."

This was resolved but only by me contacting myself, the owner told them about the issue but Sykes did not make any attempt to contact me. We also did not recieve any welcome information prior to arriving so i had to make contact on the way to ensure we could get into the property. The property is lovely, very homely and comfortable but we did find rubbish under the beds and lots of areas were dusty and had not been cleaned well. We had an issue with the freezer as it was not working for the first 3 days so we lost food, nearer the end of the week it was better but still not able to keep all food frozen. We loved the garden it is a lovely place for children to play especially the trampoline. We all slept well and the beds were very comfortable. We used the BBQ twice with no issues. The area is nice, very quiet and lots of shops and pubs nearby and only a 10 minute walk to the beach. Overall we had a lovely stay, it is a shame the hot tub has been removed and the poor communication from Sykes. The owner of the house was very accommodating when I made contact.

  • "Lovely, large sized family house with great equipment for children."

Trampoline and hot tub provided hours of fun. The kitchen was well stocked including children’s cutlery and crockery. A small supply of tea, coffee and sugar would have been great and maybe a bag of wood for the fire. Also the lack of towels was a big let down for us. The children’s bedroom was great and overall comfortable enough but I think the house could do with a bit of tlc, the walls were really quite dirty and there is damp around most of the windows. The window around the attic room had toilet roll stuck in between the seal, I assume to prevent a draft. The technology in the house sounded great but it was actually a bit annoying with the lights coming on automatically, meant you ended up waking other members of the household when going to the toilet and lights were on unnecessarily. There was also quite a strong smell of damp in the living room, possibly from the ac unit. The tiles in the main bathroom need a good scrub as they’re covered in mold around the shower. The carpets are quite grubby. It’s a lovely sized house but could really do with a spruce up and a deep clean. I think for price paid it requires an extra pizazz.

  • "We had a wonderful festive stay Murmur y Mor."

We were very surprised when we arrived and saw the house all ready for the holidays and found some little treats left for us to enjoy. It was our first time spending Christmas together as a family for 4 years and the house exceeded our expectations. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the living space was very well suited to our numbers and the kitchen/dining area had everything we needed to cater for a large family Christmas. The kids were more than entertained by the outside space for the duration and the hot tub was a lovely addition (even in Dec!). Anytime we needed information on anything all we had to do was check out the information guide provided and it was there. Location wise it is just a short walk to a lovely beach and the locals were all super friendly. Would highly recommend this property for any family ocassion!

  • "We went for 3 nights We went for 3 nights."

A family of 10 adults and 6 children. Lovely home size wise perfect. Location was easy enough to find. Contact from the owner was really good all info sent across early so we knew what was going on and open communication was great via WhatsApp. The issues we had were: 1: cold water showers!!!!! Yep 3 out of 16 had hot showers each day and the rest had cold. There was one electric shower in the house which was really poor considering there were two other bathrooms. 2. When we arrived the windows had been left open and this meant the carpets were wet with rain. 3. The front lounge carpets really do smell bad and it’s very obvious. They could really do with a wash or shake n vac. The rest of the house inc the bedrooms were all fine. 4. One 4 slice toaster…. Breakfast time was a nightmare really could do with two toasters. 5. Having to bring ALL your own essentials as you only get half a toilet roll and minimal hand soap in each bathroom. Really for the amount this property charges that was a basic. 6. Bringing all your own towels. We paid close the £4,000 for this booking and booked early to avoid disappointment but the price for the property was £3,000 ish for 7 Nights the week after we left which was super disappointing to see. But to pay that money and the owners can’t even put 20 towels together is a real shame. 7. Thinking of having a BBQ? Don’t it was left filthy and no chance we would cook on that. 8. The cleaners aren’t great lots of house spiders and bugs in the corners. These of course aren’t even big things that honestly can’t be fixed for a much better experience. To be told explicitly on booking too no early check in or late departure not available is a shame. We were like the home alone crew in the morning trying to be out for 10am. Overall a first time in a cottage and disappointed to be honest and no discount or reimbursement for the poor shower situation. It was raised with the owner and he said there is one electric shower installed the week before in the main bathroom so they’re clearly aware it’s an issue and there’s info about the tank but it’s not adding up on any of the days we were there it seems as though they have a control to switch the hot water off. To then be told the water tap was left on when no one was home is a poor excuse.

Thank you for your feedback, I'm sorry to hear that you didn't have the best experience during your stay. I always strive to give my guests the best possible service, so please know that I'm always here to help with anything that comes up during your stay. I am always more than happy to help guests with anything if I am told there is an issue in the property. I am available to contact at any time if something does arise. Jason (the owner) couldn't of been more helpful throughout our stay, providing us all the details on how to use their 'smart home' and checking in once we had arrived to ensure everything was okay. The property was perfect for our large family as we were having multi generation week away (from age 7 weeks old to 81!) there was plenty of space for everyone to relax and we really appreciated having the shower room on the bottom floor. You can tell how much effort and love has gone into creating this home and it defiantly has a family feel. The position of the property is perfect, and is a very short 10 minute walk to the beach, and 15 to the local brewery (highly recommend). It is also about a 15/20 minutes from anywhere you want to go (Pwhelli, Abersoch, Cricceth) so lots of places to visit when its a bit rainy. For food you absolutely have to visit Y Bryncynan, the food was amazing. We will certainly be back!

The house was wonderful, and catered for all of our needs fully. It’s a spacious property which allowed us all to be a family together and celebrate a happy event in comfort and luxury. Communication from the owner was excellent. We received all key information and more. The property was comfortable, welcoming, clean and modern. Everything you’d want in a home from home was there and more. There wasn’t a member of our party who didn’t highly rate the house. The children especially loved the trampoline, and the parents at ease knowing they were safe in the secure rear garden. It’s a wonderful place to stay for all ages and provides an opportunity to explore what is a delightful place. We had a fabulous time and would highly recommend this property to anyone, it was a memorable experience and the property most definitely added to experience. I can’t rate this highly enough, it was fabulous. Many thanks.
