  • "The house, Green View, was warm, cosy and very comfortable for our stay between Christmas and New Year."

    We were pleasantly surprised to find a Christmas tree and decorations, which immediately made it feel welcoming and seasonal. The lounge was a genuinely comfortable space for relaxing, whether watching a film, reading, or spending time together, and the central heating kept the house consistently warm throughout our stay. The three bedrooms were spacious, with comfortable beds, and the shared bathroom worked well, with both a bath and a shower. The kitchen met our needs perfectly, and the serving hatch through to the lounge was a fun and practical feature that added to the social feel of the house. Llangollen itself was particularly picturesque in early January, quiet but full of character, and the house is very well located for exploring the area. We used it as a base to visit Wrexham, Chester, Manchester, Liverpool, Llandudno and several other places, all of which were an easy and straightforward drive. Overall, Green View is a great house: warm, cosy, comfortable and very well suited to our group of five. We would happily stay again.

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Green View last week."

    The accommodation was perfect; 3 good sized bedrooms with plenty of storage space, a roomy kitchen and cosy living room. It was spotless and we appreciated little touches like a beautiful Christmas tree and some other little decorations set up for our arrival. The cul-de-sac was nice and quiet with beautiful views across the hills. We will definitely be booking again- a perfect retreat for a few days with family in the beautiful Welsh town of Llangollen.

  • "Very well kept property in a convenient location."

    good access to town centre and many great walks. We walked up to Castell Dinas Bran which has been on my to do list for over 50 years. Very comfortable beds which are essential for a good stay. The only problem we had was the inbuilt freezer . we put our frozen food delivery in on our arrival but did not realise the freezer was not switched on so we lost our frozen food.

  • "Choosing Green View enabled us to have a wonderful two weeks away after an unpleasant couple of years with serious medical problems."

    The accommodation is wonderful and has everything, and much more, that you could wish for. The situation is excellent and although we cannot walk far now we found so many good pubs within a ten mile radius with easy access to the river or canal that we were able to have a short trot each day, including over the aqueduct. There is not one thing worthy of complaint so thankyou Green View, it's owners and Sykes for a wonderful break from our usual "four walls". Now planning our next visit to you in the Spring.   • "We have visited here before and it didn’t disappoint."

    It’s clean, very comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The host is very helpful, we arrived early and as the property was ready he was more than happy for us to stay. The area is beautiful with lots of things to do for all ages. My dog knew where the enclosed garden was as soon as we arrived.

  • "Being in a small cul de sac meant it was a quiet location which we liked."

    The back garden was enclosed so the dog could be left to do his business in safety. I notified the owner that it might be good to leave instructions for the electrical appliances for those of us who like to know how things work! The town was a fairly gentle walk down hill and not too far for your average person although there wasn't a pavement until the bottom of the hill. The woods nearby were ideal for walking the dog but steep in places so not for the elderly or infirm. All in all a really nice place only spoiled by the weather....

  • "We had a throughly enjoyable stay at Green View, which is only a short walk away from the centre of Llangollen."

    The cottage is spacious and homely, and all the comforts of home are available to you. We were very lucky that the weather was brilliant. Sitting on the patio area after dinner with a glass of wine, looking around the well kept garden, and viewing the area ahead was lovely. Our little dogs settled here very quickly. The owner also kept in touch during our stay, which was a nice.

  • "A wonderful cottage in a wonderful location."

    We went with three young children and it was perfect for us. I overpacked and realised that I didn’t need to. Everything was provided. Even teddies and toys and children’s movies to keep the kids entertained in the evenings. Really recommend this place. The hosts were available via text to ensure we were okay. Lots of beautiful places near by. Thank you so much. Great memories made.

    The house is absolutely stunning and so are the views from it too. The only problem i did have was the access to the garden with having a dog, also the tv is a standard tv not smart tv but thats wasnt an issue. Absolutely lovely people in the village and the owners too. Would definitely come back again.

    Hi, thanks for your lovely feedback. The Sony TV has USB and HDMI ports to connect external devices. There is a HDMI lead in the TV cabinet. Also, there are two ways to get in to the garden. One is to the left of the front door, through the side gate. The other is via the garage back door. This is the one most people use. Property Owner

    Really great for older people and people with young children. Our Westie loved the enclosed garden . It’s really close to Llangollen and other facilities, lots to do. I highly recommend this property and hope to visit again soon.

  • "This is a lovely cottage and I would revisit."

    It’s very well maintained. The only comment I would make is that you can’t get directly into the back garden from the back of the house which meant we had to put a lead on the dog to go into the garden.

  • "We very much liked this holiday let house."

    It was warm and very comfortable and was exactly as it had been described. It was spotlessly clean too. It exactly suited what we were looking for so we could include our daughter (who was working on Christmas Eve and from 27th) in our family Christmas. We had fantastic weather so could really enjoy the views and walks up on the hills. The books/ guides on the area in the house were really helpful. It was lovely to be in such a quiet spot yet within walking distance of the town. We really appreciated the Christmas tree and card!

The beautiful Vale of Llangollen, with its dramatic mountain backdrop and boulder-strewn River Dee is the setting for this pretty tourist town, internationally famous for its Musical Eisteddfod. Explore the green valley by steam train or canal boat, or take an exhilarating walk up to Castell Dinas Brân, high above the town, in order to enjoy the breathtaking view. Llangollen offers a good range of pubs and restaurants, as well as many interesting shops. Keep entertained with an exhilarating trip whitewater rafting down the River Dee, followed by an adventurous Mountain Bike ride in Llandegla, or for a more leisurely experience, unwind with a relaxing afternoon in one of the local spas! The National Trust properties of Chirk Castle and Erddig are within easy driving distance, while a day-long car trail can take you to visit six of the ‘Seven Wonders of Wales’.
