"This property is great value for larger groups."
The larger group can spread out across two lounges which is great, but they cannot all have a seat at the dining table, it is far too cramped. The property has sea and mountain/quarry views which is beautiful, but is very noisy due to the main road (Expressway) running just behind the property which is noisy 24 hours a day.

"The house was lovely."
It was nice having two lounges so that different generations could do their own thing. All the showers were good. The kitchen well equipped with a large gas stove which was excellent with 13 people staying. There is also a regular bus service to Conwy which is well worth a visit. On our last night we went to the pub quiz at the Bron Eyeri where we were made very welcome by everyone and had a great evening. Would definitely stay there again.

"We booked Gwyder for a family reunion."
We had to wait until 4pm to check in and when we arrived, sadly the house wasn’t ready - it hadn't been cleaned from the previous guests and following frantic phone calls it appears that they had missed our booking!
As a result we ended up not being able to check in until 6pm which really messed up our first day and family reunion.
In credit to the cleaning team it was a Sunday and they rallied together to get the cleaning done.
The only issue is that we were only given hand towels which aren’t great for taking a shower! I rang and complained and they did drop off more towels but they weren’t much bigger and we had to make do, but I do like a bath sheet so please get extra sheets in case this happens again.
Gwyder is a lovely house but could be improved by:
- clean the windows outside
- we needed better recycling facilities and more bins - rubbish was strewn over the back alley which we had to sort out and it wasn’t even our rubbish!
- some door handles especially in the attic kept falling off!
- your freezer needs defrosting and cleaning
- for large groups we could have done with a bigger fridge
I would book Gwyder again but I’d be emailing them next time to make sure the house is ready on time.

"We had a great weekend, thankyou so much!"
Penmaenmawr is a great location for folk who like to do outdoor stuff. The beach (yes, I did swim!), the hills and Druid stones, the Zipwire, Snowdon what's not to like?
Gwyder is unusually big - we were 12 adults plus a dog.

"The property is large, set over 4 floors and is well laid out."
The parking is 'on street' and is popular so you may not be able to park right outside the house. Good views of the sea from the rear of the property and a very handy location for exploring the coast and inland areas. Penmaenmwaer is a nice small town with useful shops, pubs and food premises in walking distance and the beach is accessible.

"Beautiful house, big enough for our group, extra fridge is a great idea."
Not much going on locally but buses are frequent to Bangor, Llandudno and Conwy. Beach is amazing and a lovely walk and the best cafe at the end of the beach, lovely food, dog friendly - cash only like a lot of places in the area and that was fine. There is a forest opposite which was good for a walk with or without the dog
We are glad you enjoyed your stay,

"An extremely well furnished and equipped property."
It was very comfortable and well situated for all the sights of N. Wales. There is easy on road parking. The road itself is a quiet one and there is little noise from the expressway as the house is some way back from it. The upper floors of the house have fantastic sea views. There is a magnificent beach and acces via a flyover over the expressway is a 10 minute walk or a few minutes by car to the free beach car park. I would highly recommend for a family holiday.

"As a group of six and one dog, we all had gushing praise for the cottage from the first night onwards."
Beautifully set out and furnished, wonderful views, well appointed kitchen, and oodles of space. Even little things, like the great water pressure in the showers and there being two fridges really helped make a difference. Our only two minor quibbles were the ambiguity surrounding what went into which bin (recycling rules and bins are different across the country - we felt very guilty not being able to recycle everything we thought we were going to), and the dishwasher taking something like 2 hours+ to run. Set against the rest your excellent stay there, though, these are very minor concerns. We decided early on that we would love to return - such an awesome cottage!
Thank you for your feedback, we have altered the info pack to mention about the running time of the dishwasher and suggest that people put it on before bed so that everything is ready again by the morning.
The recycling is also in hand now

"We had a lovely stay at Gwyder, we would definitely go back again."
It had everything we needed for our party of 10 (kids, teens and adults). The house is spread over 4 floors so it didn't feel like we we're on top of eachother all the time, there was space to come together as a big group but also space for you to get a bit of quiet. We had incredible beach views too.
The local area had everything we needed, plenty of shops and places to eat. The beach was a short walk away.
Penmaenmawr was also a really good location, there was plenty to do near by. We didn't have to drive far to get to places.

"We arrived at the lovely house, 11 adults 2 children, 1 dog."
When we entered we thought what a beautiful home, very clean, and provided everything we needed, the owner thought of everything what we might need. Just perfect. The bed were very comfortable. Prefect that there are bathrooms on each floor! Perfect location, just 20-30 minutes to different town and beaches. Plenty of parking! Our family had a fantastic time staying in this beautiful home, we would definitely recommend 5

"Fantastic property which suited our groups needs (of 11) superbly, good layout over 4 floors with ample sized bedrooms with easy parking."
Kitchen well equipped for large groups especially the oven/hob.
Great location with the beach 10 minute walk away and plenty of shops/takeaways to chose from & a friendly pub nearby.
Only 2 minor negative comments that we discussed as a group was the comfort of the mattresses (but this was pointed out because we are probably spoilt at home with the quality of our own) and also could have done with another fridge or taller one to store the quantity of food that comes with large groups.
Other than those more than happy with our stay & would definitely recommend

"This property has been sympathetically renovated to a very high standard and is a credit to the owners."
Just a short walk to the beach and a woodland walk across the road. Bread and milk were there for us together with treats for the dog, poo bags and lovely doggy bowls. Everything was so well thought out. The house is two rows back from the express way which gives easy access to the surrounding areas. Slight noise from the road but nothing to be put off by. We loved it and felt at home as soon as we walked through the door. We hope to go back one day. Thank you Cerri and Neil x

"Lovely house, great size for large families."
Loved the extra space down stairs too. We wished it would have been decorated for our Christmas stay, it was a bit disappointing that there was no small Christmas decorations. Kitchen was great and very well stocked- thank you! The only downside was the size of the fridge- given the property sleeps 13 people and we were there for 3 days- the fridge was quite small. This is a wonderful place in a great location for a quiet stay. Would definitely recommend :)

"We would like to thank you for making our holiday experience amazing."
The holiday home was truly 'a home'. It was exactly how it was listed on Sykes website. Every member of the family was satisfied with their rooms. The folder left by the owner was really useful as it allowed us to plan our days. There is loads to visit and do locally with several hidden gems. The woodland walks, watching the sunset on the beach, sun rising in the AM. This property really captures nature at its best as it is the heart of it all.
We would definitely recommend this property to everyone.
Thank you to Neil, from the bottom of our hearts for making our stay blessed and blissful.
