    Everything we needed, very clean , comfy beds and great showers and a bath in two bathrooms. Easy access to Llandudno, Rhos on sea ect and the views are stunning. Loved watching all the birds in the garden. Peace and quiet with the seaside not too far away. We would definitely recommend this beautiful cottage which was also ideal for my 93yr old mum x

  • "We booked the cottage for a 5 day stay and were very impressed."

    We couldn't have asked for more. The cottage met our needs perfectly. We also visited the pub just around the corner, went on evening strolls along the local lanes and the cottage was ideally located for trips to Llandudno, Snowdon and Betws-y-Coed - all less than an hours drive away. We would definitely book again.

  • "An excellent property, well situated, well maintained and well decorated."

    Penrallt has been carefully and thoughtfully restored to a very high standard. The bedrooms are large and the beds are comfortable and having two decent-sized bathrooms is a real luxury. Upon arrival the house was warm and immaculately clean and the proprietors had thoughtfully left basic provisions. A real home away from home that really deserves a 5 star rating.

  • "We stayed for 4 nights, April 2025, Myself, husband and 15 year old daughter."

    10/10 for this beautiful little cottage. Very clean, well maintained and equipped, home from home. The photos don't do it justice. Owner on hand if we needed. Teenage daughter loved that she had her own space on the other side of the cottage to us and her own bathroom! First holiday with our electric vehicle so onsite charger was a must on this holiday, took the anxiety away from finding somewhere to charge.(although there are Instavolt chargers about 10 miles away at Rhug Estate if you get stuck) Great base for exploring North Wales, highly recommend the Alpaca meet and greet up the road, pub within walking distance too. Betws y coed, Conwy and Llandudno all a short drive away Some lovely walks around the area too. Nice little touches from owners, the welcome pack was much appreciated, games and books and a cottage quiz was great, as was the history of the cottage. Nice little garden area to sit in the sunshine with a cuppa too. Comfortable beds, lovely bathrooms, heating that kicked in on the still cold nights. Highly recommend.

The property

Penrallt is a traditional Welsh Long House resting near the village of Pentrefoelas, Conwy and dating back to the 17th century.

Perfect for families or friends, this delightful retreat offers an allocated slate chipping covered parking space and additional roadside parking, ensuring a hassle-free stay in this picturesque locale.

Upon entering, you will be greeted by a spacious king-size bedroom, complete with a smart TV for your entertainment.

This room also boasts a washing machine for your convenience, as well as an en-suite bathroom featuring a bath and overhead shower.

The second bedroom is a welcoming twin, also equipped with a Smart TV and offering jack-and-jill access to a sleek shower room, complete with a walk-in shower, heated towel rail and WC.

The heart of the home is undoubtedly the kitchen/diner, where you can prepare delicious meals using the array of appliances at your disposal.

After dinner, retire to the sitting room, where you can unwind in front of the Smart TV, watch a film on the DVD player, or listen to your favourite music through the Bluetooth speaker and soundbar.

For a change of scenery, step into the sun room and soak up the natural light as you plan your next day of adventures.

Outside, you will find an enclosed rear garden, perfect for children to play safely.

The garden features a well-kept lawn, an area of artificial grass, and a selection of outdoor furniture under a pergola, providing an ideal spot for alfresco dining or simply enjoying a glass of wine as the sun sets and watching the birds on the feeders.

Walking maps and a map case are provided for guests to borrow to allow guests to make the most of your location by heading to the picturesque Betws y Coed, where you can stop off at the Tourist Information Centre to plan your local itinerary.

From there, take a leisurely stroll across the Pont-y-Pair Bridge and soak in the beautiful surroundings, or pack a picnic for a day at the Llyn Brenig Visitor Centre; a haven for lovers of the great outdoors.

Immerse yourself in the tranquil serenity of the Gwydir Forest Park, with multiple walking and cycling routes for all abilities, or for more of an adrenaline rush, head to the National White Water Centre situated on the edge of Snowdonia National Park in Bala where thrill-seekers can try white-water rafting, kayaking and more.

Enjoy the vibrancy of the nearby town Betws-y-Coed, with its range of boutique shops, traditional pubs and tasty eateries, before returning to the comfort and tranquillity of Penrallt, your idyllic Welsh home-from-home.
