  • "Stunning house in a lovely location and the hot tub is a real bonus!"

    Would highly recommend.

  • "Ty Coch was a stylish, comfortable and very relaxing property."

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay in an area of outstanding natural beauty. We shopped in a couple of independent shops in Ruthin and found the people friendly and very willing to share their local knowledge. We met the owner of the property who in turn was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

  • "We absolutely loved our stay at Ty Coch, you didn't have to worrie about time, without a care in the world you can just relax and enjoy the sun and hot tub, best part is that this property when it has sun its like a sun trapper you get sun all day, highly reccomend."

The decor is really modern and very stylish in every room of the house we enjoyed every min. Leah is very nice too who popped by to check on us to see how we were getting on. We popped in to the Town of Ruthin very nice little old town highly reccomend visiting Chatwinns the Sausage rolls are to die for and they are even better than greggs. Two things I would reccomend would be maybe a poof or foot stool for putting your feet up watching TV and maybe a parasol for over the hottub would be great in case of bad weather. All in all it was a beautiful stay and very relaxing beds are super comfy highly reccomend.

  • "This is a beautiful property with stunning views."

Booked for a friend's 40th, it was the perfect place for a girly weekend. The property owners are close by and we're so helpful, leaving restaurant recommendations and trying to assist us. We only came home this afternoon and already trying to look at dates to go back. Would not hesitate to recommend

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback, we really appreciate it. So glad you had a great weekend to celebrate your friends 40th. Looking forward to welcoming you back again Property Owner

We we’re there only as a group of three ladies for a belated birthday weekend however even if there had been 6 of us the answer would have been the same - fabulous & we’ll be back!

  • "A high specification finish and stylish design makes this a luxurious experience in a quiet location in a highly scenic valley."

On sunny afternoons the garden and its hot tub are delightful. We had a really relaxing week and recharged our batteries. The only downside was the firmness of the master bed.

Very beautiful and homely - made the holiday for us. Made full use of the hot tub and enjoyed the cottage immensely. Leah and family were really nice and made us feel very welcome. Ruthin is a lovely little place and enjoyed time there in the local Costa and restaurants. All in all a fabulous holiday and would definitely love to return, thank you to Leah and family!

  • "The cottage was lovely."

Possibly needed a couple more mugs! Hot tub was lovely and the lady who owns the cottage was friendly and I know if we’d had any issues she would have dealt with them. We didn’t have any issues though it was perfect! We loved Ruthin and Denbigh Castles and had a trip to Llandudno and Snowdonia. A perfect base for exploring North Wales

The property

Resting on the outskirts of the hilltop town of Ruthin in North Wales is this charming sandstone cottage, Ty Coch, extensively and thoughtfully renovated to offer accommodation for six guests.

Enjoying contemporary style yet still retaining character, Ty Coch is perfect for three couples or a family seeking a relaxing retreat to the North Wales countryside, with the added benefit of a hot tub and enclosed garden.

Park up outside the front of the property with room for two cars before heading down the side of the house to the front door; be welcomed into the porch area which retains the exposed sandstone wall, before making your way into the open-plan living space.

Come together around the dining table in the kitchen and dining area, with quality Bosch appliances to make use of when rustling up a treat, and a long dining table to seat all.

Following your home-cooked feast take the three steps up into the lounge area, with underfloor heating to warm you, bi-fold doors opening up onto the patio and a Smart TV with sofas to unwind on.

Take the conversation outside to the beautiful enclosed garden to watch the children play on the lawn while you relax on the patio furniture, or take an evening dip in the hot tub as the sun goes down.

One of the lovely bedrooms rests on the ground-floor, home to a king-size bed and a feature brick fireplace.

Head upstairs to find a roomy twin bedroom, a family bathroom with a large P-shape bath, and finally a master king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room to complete the layout.

The property lies just a mile from the heart of Ruthin, a town which enjoys an elevated hilltop position, offering a popular stop for cyclists with its many cafés and tearooms, along with shops and pubs for a perfect self-catering stay.

Visit Ruthin's attraction of Nantclwyd y Dre Historic House and Gardens, Wales' oldest dated timbered town house with building beginning in 1435; you can now explore the house, beautiful gardens and even take a peek at the bats living in the attic via the 'Bat Cam'!

Ruthin Craft Centre and the various independent shops in the town offer a chance to see local artwork and crafts, and maybe even purchase a souvenir of your stay too!

Walkers can look forward to plenty of walking routes and areas to explore, from easier landscapes like Loggerheads Country Park and Alyn Waters Country Park, to more strenuous outings up Moel Famau, Foel Fenlli, Moel y Gamelin and Moel Morfydd.

Thrill-seeking mountain bikers can also enjoy these peaks as well as heading out to the Llandegla Moors and the Old Horseshoe Pass.

Venture over to Llyn Brenig for some Welsh water adventures like sailing, kayaking, canoeing or water zorbs, take a walk around the lake, enjoy a spot of fishing, or get out on your bike!

For a scenic break to North Wales visit Ty Coch.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £350.
