What can we say.

Superb accommodation and a lovely friendly couple running it. Location very peaceful but within easy reach of many places worth visiting, be it a walking holiday, seaside or sightseeing preference. The cottage itself a perfect comfy size, and full of character, with nice touches by Trish and Dave to make it homely. Will definitely be returning in the future .

Was a great place to stay clean and no problem s very helpful owner would stay again would have liked it to be bit near mold but was very near a great pub and loads off walks near with out having to drive great place if you have dogs

Clean and well-presented but much smaller than expected, essentially a compact bedsit/annex attached to the owners’ home.

While listed as “dog-friendly”, the rule that dogs cannot be left in the property is not stated on the Sykes listing. I was not aware, as I must have missed this in the email sent two weeks before, but I was informed and verbally reminded during the stay. This was difficult in hot weather, when it would have been safer and kinder to leave my dog indoors in front of a fan than take him out. The garden is shared and overlooked, and gardening work made me feel like I couldn’t comfortably sit outside, on a hot morning, I simply stayed indoors. Overall, it felt more like staying with someone rather than in a private cottage, which can be difficult given the shared drive and close proximity. Fine as a short-term base, but it would have been disappointing as a main holiday.

A very well equipped cosy cottage in a stunning location.

The owners were helpful and welcoming. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it. We have two small dogs and the cottage is close to lots of walks but also Mold town centre where we visited the Wednesday and Saturday markets.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this property, we have also stayed at The Old Barn which is adjacent and would recommend both.

It is a beautifully scenic location, very peaceful and with great access to all the best parts of North Wales the owners are great on hand if needed and always helpful and accommodating but allowing total privacy. The property has everything you need for a nice relaxing home from home.

Everything we could possibly need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The owners had left tea, coffee, milk, cake and doggy treats! there was a useful folder of information including lovely walks right from the front door. Highly recommended.

Little white cottage is perfect for two people.

Very clean and comfortable. The owners are lovely, whilst they are around they leave you to enjoy your holiday. The only minor downside was sharing the garden with the other holiday cottage. Everything was thought of that you could need. Scenery around the cottage is stunning and we found lots of lovely walks for our dog.

We've rented nearly 20 different cottages over the last 5 years, and this one has probably been the best of all of them.

Lovely people; wonderful rural location; well equipted; we really couldn't fault it.

The cake, butter, mik and dog biscuits were a lovely touch. The cottage was clean and warm, in beautiful surroundings. The enclosed garden was enjoyed by our two dogs. We enjoyed walks in the surrounding hills and forests and good food in the nearby local pubs. Highly recommended place to stay!

Lovely fully equipped cottage.

Very welcoming, friendly hosts. Excellent location with walks from the door and many others within a 15 - 30 minute drive. Very quiet and peaceful of an evening. The Druids Inn pub is about 1.2 miles away serving quality food and beer and is very dog friendly.

Owners were just so lovely and welcoming.

Cottage was perfect for our stay with 2 big dogs. It was a real bonus having a washing machine and tumble dryer as it was very wet in Wales. Cottage was very comfortable and everything was there for you including a great information pack. The hiking trails and the view just around the cottage was amazing and we were in a perfect location for day trips. Remote location but very close to the main road for trips out. Excellent WiFi. You do share the parking and area around the cottage with the other let so if your dog does not like other dogs it may not be the place for you. Our dogs love other dogs and had a great time with their new friend. There is no garden as such for the dogs to run but we were out hiking everyday so it didn’t matter for us. Great pub just down the road - The Druids - dogs welcome and great food. We had a fantastic time and will go back.

Beautiful little cottage; small but tastefully done and had everything you could possibly need. Very pleasant and friendly hosts. The best thing for us was the location; walking from the door, no need to get in the car every time, and fabulous views. Will definitely be on our list of properties to return to.

The attention to detail by Dave and Trish really shines through. They provided a small welcome pack which included home baked cake (was yummy), dog biscuits and milk. The cottage was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is really well equipped and included a spice rack. There is good quality knives, pans etc which we really appreciated. Dsve and Trish are very friendly and helpful, thank you.

Wonderful welcome apple cake, which we were looking forward to.

Everything we needed was there. All we needed was our food. The bed was extremely comfortable. It was so quiet and restful, we could hear the sheep which was lovely. The owners were so friendly and helpful. We could have moved in to be honest, we will be back.

Whilst the cottage was very tiny it had everything we needed.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage and the enclosed garden meant the dogs were perfectly safe and enjoyed their stay as much as us.

It was so peaceful and quiet just what we needed. Lots of lovely walks within a short distance with shops closeby. Many thanks to the owners for the lovely cake and doggie treats. We hope to be returning sometime soon.

Secure garden to let the dog out and park the car, fabulous view of the Moel Famau. Great location for exploring, have missed our morning walks in the country park which was literally on the door step. We had a warm welcome by the owner , and the the welcome pack of homemade cake and milk was perfect and delicious for our first brew as we unpacked and settled in. Not forgetting the dog biscuits which went down a treat with Alfie. Just perfect xx

GREAT HOSTS AND FANTASTIC LOCATION!

Had an excellent holiday, didn't need to move the car once which was a bonus, and sure sign of a good holiday.

A couple of things that could be an improvement are - maybe a tray to place slightly mucky footwear after returning from a walk/cycle. Somewhere to hang a wet waterproof jacket. A hand towel in the kitchen. Other than that, it was perfect - thank you!

The location and accommodation are excellent.

There is a country park across the road if you don't want to get in the car to walk the dogs. Dog friendly pubs nearby serving good food.Talacre beach and West Kirby well worth a visit.

had a great week in little white cottage in august 2022, we had the very hot week, The cottage is lovely and quiet as the road is about 250 yds away so not much traffic.

Lovely setting with hills around, great for walking in the area, would like to thank dave and trish for their hospitality during our stay, they even made us a cake, brill. plenty to see round and about as we like to drive and visit different villages and towns. good pub up the road called the griffin which we went to a few times as the food was great. Would recommend this cottage to anyone who likes walking and traveling. Thanks to dave and trish, chris and jackie from carlisle.

We stayed at the cottage for the August bank holiday weekend for the week.

Fantastic location with lovely views and walks on the doorstep. Cottage was superb fully equipped with everything you will need. Lovely shower, comfy bed. The hosts were superb and the Banana loaf was lovely. We took some on our walk up Snowdon which went down a treat when we needed to refuel. I cannot rate this place highly enough and I’m sure we will be looking to return in the future.

Cottage is set in a very quiet area of the Clwydian Range and we were able to sit outside on the patio set admiring the forest view.

Everything was beautifully clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Many extras such as milk, tea, coffee etc were provided and we loved the large homemade cake too. Parking for a long car was possible in the shared back yard. The hosts were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.

The cottage is white, it is little but it is cosy. Well fitted out, the bathroom is really lovely. Great location too looking across the valley to the forest, handy for Moel Famau for any intrepid walkers, I'm too old to be intrepid! Really enjoyed our stay and would readily return.

We had an amazing break at the little white cottage.

The cottage is cosy and equipped with everything you need to enjoy the glorious north welsh countryside. The hosts were so welcoming from giving us great advice on where to walk (right from the front door) to the most delicious mince pies and shortbread that greeted us on arrival. We arrived to the warmest of welcomes from Trish & Dave and after a brief explanation of where everything was and how things worked we settled down to a cuppa and a slice of the delicious welcome cake and took in the amazing view.

The cottage is perfect for a couple + dog, there is everything you could wish for plus dog treats which was a lovely touch. Very comfortable bed, lovely and clean and a great base for exploring North Wales. Walking in the forest across the road in a morning felt like a real privilege, so quiet and beautiful. Thanks for a lovely stay and a lovely welcome.

The cottage was as expected, quite small but perfectly formed.

There were two of us as well as two Labradors, there was just enough room for the four of us. Hosts are very warm and friendly and there are lots of walks in beautiful countryside right on the door step. Would recommend to couples with 2 dogs.

Trish and Dave welcomed us on arrival, very nice people.

If we needed anything they just said knock on the door. They told us about the area and what routes to take. Trish made a banana cake for us, which was very tasty. The perfect cottage in a beautiful location with view's which are amazing.. We felt like we were in New Zealand. Very tranquil setting, the pictures don't do it justice.

The cottage was set up with everything you need, Dave & Trish (the owners) are close by in their house next door if you need anything, there is also another rental cottage next door called The Old Barn with which you share the parking and garden with, this was not a problem for us. This cottage holiday gave us a very relaxing and enjoyable break and we would recommend it to everyone!

Trish and Dave were brilliant hosts and gave us some useful advice. The cottage is very quiet and in a beautiful area surrounded by woods and countryside. It is a fantastic location for exploring North Wales and beyond. We visited Bodnant gardens and Llandudno, Conwy castle and Powys castle. We also went to Snowdonia. Highly recommend a visit to Ruthin and Llangollen and around that area (canal walk etc.). Also Chester is worth a visit. Had a good meal at the Raven Inn, a community pub (ask hosts for location). All in all we had a very good holiday and would love to return.

This is a perfect cottage for a quiet get away.

Not intrusive but nothing too much trouble if any issues, however small. Cottage kitted out to a high standard and much more practical with washing machine and dryer and fridge and freezer. Not tried to squeeze a dishwasher in like some do. Perfect location for us, in a secluded valley and our Doberman thought she was heaven in the Forest as did we when we saw the night sky! Nice to be welcomed with biscuits, and with coffee and tea on hand. (And having a cafetiere in the kitchen was simply brilliant - we had brought our own beans on the off-chance!) Great selection of DVDs as well. Everything we could want.

Had a wonderful relaxing holiday, the cottage has everything you need especially a great shower and a really comfortable bed.

The area is beautiful with lots of walks for different abilities close by. The patio has the sun all day long so if you fancy doing nothing it's the place to be. We will definitely be returning.

The Little White Cottage is a home away from home!

! Decorated to a high standard and so cosy, the bed is so comfortable. Patricia and Dave have thought of everything to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible, with the added extra of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits when you arrive (much appreciated). As for the location it is stunning, the views are amazing, with plenty of beautiful walks right on the doorstep, Moel Famau is literally across the road. Idyllic cottage, Idyllic location will definitely be recommending this cottage to family and friends.

A lovely cosy cottage, a small kitchen but has everything you need, a lovely large comfy bed with ensuite, Trish and Dave are great hosts, it is also idealy situated as a base to visit loads of places to visit and great walks right on the doorstep thoroughly enjoyed my week there and will definately return and recommend it to anyone who likes peace and quiet lovely walks and the choice to visit other parts of Wales in either direction.

What a Fantastic Little Cottage.

Spotlessly clean and cosy. Trish and Dave are some of the friendlest people you could ever wish to meet and very helpfull. There are lots of lovely walks to take our to springers loved the walks. We will definitely going back next year. Sue Tony.

We had a wonderful time at the little white cottage and we hope to go back sometime great hosts and the bed was the best bed we have ever slept in.

Highly recommend also to come home without a case full of dirty washing was a real treat didn’t expect a washer and drier in the cottage so came home with washing all done wow a treat. Could not fault the hosts or the cottage at all and our puppy Bertie also enjoyed his stay just a shame we had to come home as could just retire and live there , the peace and scenery were amazing . We are now back to reality unfortunately but as Arnold Schwarzenegger once said “we will be back”.

That there is another holiday let right next door, with shared garden access.

Our dogs and the other holiday let's dogs got on well but something to be aware of if taking your dogs with you.

This is a lovely little cottage which although it is not huge is quite big enough for two.

The surrounding surrounding views from the cottage are,as they say are to die for. I will definitely be going again if for nothing more than for the relaxation. The owners who live in the main house were so welcoming also In a word “WONDERFUL”
