  • "We loved our week staying at 145 Woodside view."

    We've stayed at the Abernant Hall site a few times now and like the fact that it's set in a woodland area , with lovely walks on site, and a top notch restaurant. In the school holidays, you can enjoy pizza out on the Aberdunant hall terrace, which makes for a lovely evening. There are lots of places to explore right on the doorstep for garden lovers, walkers, and climbers, including Beddgelert, Brondanw house and gardens, Cnicht. We particularly enjoyed staying at Woodside view, since it felt a little more secluded than other caravans, and the large terrace overlooked trees. The van was immaculate and comfortable and it was lovely to have the bedding and towels all included. We would definitely stay there again.

  • "Myself and my 6 year old grandson have had a great few days here."

    The holiday home is lovely, very comfortable and clean, a good size, beautiful views and privicy from the large deck. The park itself is stunning and is well situated to enjoy all that the area has to offer. The owner was helpful and was easy to contact and I would definately recommend and return here.

  • "Very comfortable in a superb location."

    We slept well and enjoyed the excellent shower. In the kitchen we missed a breadknife, a teapot, a couple of sauce pans and decent kitchen knives. The two supplied were blunt and one is loose in its handle. A kitchen bin would be useful. As we are booked to return in June and September the provision of the above would be appreciated.

  • "The joining instructions for the holiday park were good, but once we arrived, we had no idea how to locate the accommodation."

    We found it purely by accident. Everything was as it should be; however, the gas was off and the canisters were empty. I called for assistance but could not get through to the owner. A neighbour helped me and changed the gas, which required a pretty hefty spanner. After the disappointing start, everything else was fine, except the written instructions were faded, tatty, and not very helpful (there was no mention of who could help on site or how to connect the gas). The accommodation was clean, warm, and comfortable, but unfortunately first impressions last, and it was a difficult start following a journey from Kent.

I also did try to call you back to address this, but no answer from your end. You text back shortly after to say you were going to bed. I also mentioned that there is always a warden on site for emergencies, so I will have been able to resolve this on the same night. Details for who to contact in case of emergencies will have been in the same documents pouch that had the WiFi passcode. But as you said... first impressions count and I can only apolgise for your experience. Property Owner

  • "We've just returned from an amazing stay at Woodside View."

    The forest setting is beautiful! The owner checked all was well once we arrived and it was. The beds were comfortable and the caravan was very clean and well maintained. The location is great, plenty of things to do a short drive away. We were blessed with fantastic weather which made the drive there beautiful. Great all round!

The property

145 Woodside View offers a warm and welcoming retreat, ideally located just outside Porthmadog.

This comfortable three-bedroom caravan provides everything you need for a relaxing stay in North Wales.

The carpeted open-plan living area is perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring, complete with a fireplace and Smart TV for easy evenings in.

The adjoining dining area provides a lovely space to enjoy family meals, while the fully equipped kitchen comes with a fridge/freezer, double gas ovens, microwave, toaster and kettle, plus all the essential cookware and utensils. The caravan features three bedrooms, comprising a master double with a dressing table and en-suite toilet, along with two well-presented twin rooms.

A modern shower room and additional toilet complete the interior.

Fresh bed linen and towels are provided for all rooms, ensuring a restful night’s sleep for every guest. Outside, you’ll find yourself within the scenic Aberdunant Hall Holiday Park, a charming 17th-century estate set within 200 acres of beautiful woodland, a short driving distance from Snowdonia National Park.

Guests can make use of the on-site restaurant, bar and hotel, or enjoy an evening on the entertainment terrace with panoramic mountain views.

There’s also a children’s play area, outdoor pizzeria serving freshly baked pizza, and live music on select Saturday evenings.

The park also benefits from free parking, a launderette, and well-maintained walking routes ideal for leisurely strolls or morning runs. Venture beyond the park and you’ll find plenty to explore nearby.

The bustling harbour town of Porthmadog lies on the Glaslyn Estuary and enjoys a stunning setting. The gateway to the Snowdonia National Park, Porthmadog is full of individual shops and restaurants, and home to the Ffestiniog Railway and the Welsh Highland railway where you can travel by steam through spectacular Snowdonia scenery, to Blaenau Ffestiniog or Caernarfon. The pretty village of Borth Y Gest, with its cliffs and coves, is a short walk or drive from the town. The well known and unique Italianate village of Portmeirion is just down the coast. Situated on a rugged clifftop on its own private peninsula, Portmeirion, famous as the location of the TV show The Prisoner and the final episode of Cold Feet, is surrounded by miles of sandy beaches and woodlands. The area also boasts castles at Criccieth and Harlech, and superb unspoilt beaches such as Black Rock Sands, where the sands stretch as far as the eye can see. Also within reach is the famous Zip World Slate Caverns and Bounce Below where you can get involved with a variety of activities including the thrilling zip wires and underground caverns to explore; there is something here to suit the whole family.
