  • "We had a lovely week at Ketch Cottage."

It's location is excellent and only about 10 minutes walk to the beach. Parking is very easy and is directly outside the house. We loved the garden to the rear of the house, especially having somewhere to dry our swimwear and towels. The welcome pack was lovely - thank you for that. All four of us found the beds to be really comfortable. Storage in the bedrooms was also very good. The upstairs was clean and comfortable although, as the bathroom gets very steamed up, there were some black spots on the ceiling that could do with sorting out. On arrival, my husband spent some time cleaning the kitchen - there were crumbs down the side of the hob and around the sink area hadn't been properly cleaned. I also noticed the seal around the worktop/ splash back needs to be thoroughly cleaned or possibly re-sealed (maybe this will happen after the peak holiday season). Another issue we had with the kitchen was the size of the draining board (it is very small for a family of 4). A bigger draining board or a removable tray that drains into the sink would have been greatly appreciated. The living area was comfortable and plenty of space for the 4 of us to sit. Overall, the house was generally clean and in good order. It is light and airy property and is nicely decorated which makes it feel like home. We would love to return for another stay - thank you.

  • "Although the property was very clean and comfortable, I had to wash the burnt on residue from the grill pan before I could use it."

There was a shortage of serving dishes and the small roasting pan was rusty in places and well beyond its usefulness. The welcome pack was very useful indeed. Thank you for that. We would not hesitate to book this property again and would highly recommend it.

  • "Lovely to have tea coffee shortbread and wine but there was no milk!"

The handbook said milk in the fridge but there wasn’t any, so couldn’t have a cuppa on arrival. Location was ideal and parking. House was clean and nicely decorated. Double bed mattress is a bit saggy and causes oneself to roll into the middle so maybe needs replacing . Hence 4 out of 5

Thanks for your valuable feedback...I do apologise the milkman didn't arrive that day....but I'm glad you enjoyed the wine and shortbread The mattress is a Memory foam mattress and has been checked and is perfectly fine I am sorry you had this individual experience once again thanks for your feedback and we look forward to welcoming you back to ketch Property Owner

The bedrooms are narrow and there is not enough room at both sides of the double bed to easily get in and out, especially for anyone with reduced mobility. The location is excellent.

Thank you for your positive feedback and we are glad you enjoyed your stay at Ketch cottage we will investigate the issue with microwave so thank you for informing us....for future stays at Ketch cottage if guests find an issue whilst at the property we do encourage them to contact us on the telephone number provided in the welcome pack so we can help make your stay at ketch cottage an enjoyable one we look forward to welcoming you back in the future. • "This was a beautiful cottage, however, the house next to us on the end had a dog that constantly barked from as early as 6am."

This really affected my stay as I'd taken a week off work to relax. We ended up leaving 2 days early so we could go home and rest. Sykes couldn't do anything as the couple lived there permanently. I'd recommend booking a detached cottage to avoid this. The cottage is beautiful and in a lovely location close to the beach.

Thank you for your positive feedback I do apologise that you have experienced this whilst you stayed at our relaxing property. The house next door on the end is a holiday let so the experience you had with the dog was a one off as the owner doesn't allow pets to stay once again thank you for your feedback it really helps to keep Ketch the perfect place to escape to! You can walk to the lovely beach & restaurant which is great . It has parking for two cars as well . The cottage itself is lovely , we welcome the wardrobe in the double bedroom & the drying facility in the garden as we had our granddaughter. ( all new from last year ) It has everything you need apart from desert spoons & extra large towel for my daughter ( adult ) as the cleaners must have thought we had two children staying in the twin room . Apart from that it was a really lovely place to stay . We would recommend to anyone .

It is well situated in a fabulous area. Parking is great and the garden and patio are superb sun traps. My only very minor issue was the lack of available plug sockets for charging the essential equipment over night, such as phones, iPad, watch, camera etc. however, I was able to do without a couple of lamps to facilitate this. I wonder if providing a plug board would have been an idea? Anyway it wouldn’t stop me from going again.

  • "Overall a good stay at Ketch Cottage."

Great location close to cafes etc and the beach. On arrival the house was not clean to an acceptable standard - we spent the first hour cleaning: floors/kitchen worktops had not been swept or hoovered let alone cleaned, some surfaces were very dusty, glass in patio doors had handprints all over them, touch points not clean. Property has obviously not had a deep clean recently. However, beds had been changed and made fresh, bathroom/toilet was very clean. Plenty of clean towels and extra bedding was made available. Household items provided for use included: washing up liquid, dishcloths, cleaning products (no antibac wipes), tea towels, thank you for those. Heating great. Property felt secure and in a safe area. 2 x parking spaces. A couple of previous reviews said no wardrobe space and nowhere/pegs to dry washed clothing - there is now a wardrobe in the main bedroom, aswell as a laundry line and pegs. Some fixtures and fittings need attention, i understand that they cant always be brand new, but there is no excuse for a lack of cleaning, especially in Covid times.

“ Thank you for your feedback we are glad that overall you and your family enjoyed your time in Trearddur Bay.The safety and well-being of our guests is very important to us.The property is professionaly deep cleaned between each party of guests with particular attention to the current Covid-19 situation, bedding and towels are washed above 60*c and changed between each party of guests, disinfected throughout and property aired and sanitised As you can see from past reviews left for the property we have always received the highest rating for cleanliness therefore we were very suprised to read your review. There is a guest information pack with contact details for guests to ring should any problems arise to enable us to rectify the situation as soon as possible with as little disruption to your holiday may we take this opportunity to thank you again for your review and hope you visit Trearddur Bay in the future. Garden was good for little ones to play in . Just could have done with washing line & pegs to dry clothes as we used the washer ( had to buy some & improvise ) It needs to be made clear that you use the red bin only as next door had to tell us . The council removed it as it’s a commercial property .( as there are 3 bins & no recycling ) Cloth maiden was hidden behind large chair so didn’t find it until last day when cleaning up . No places to hang your clothes .

  • "Great little cottage for a week's break."

Would have given it 5 stars if it had wardrobes, but not too much of an issue. Would stay again. Ideal location. 1x Baby gate, travel cot & highchair were provided. Could have done with 2 baby gates (one for top & one for bottom of stairs). Travel cot is the small size (I'd say suitable for babies aged up to 12 months). Great selection of kitchen utensils/pots/pans. It could do with having a new lick of paint on the 2x car park spaces outside to make it clearer upon arrival as to which spaces belong to no.9. Thank you

Thanks for your feedback and really glad you enjoyed your stay at beautiful trearddur bay. We have addressed the issues you raised and the cottage now has wardrobes and clear car parking spaces. While we have provided Everything you need for your comfort during your stay The welcome pack with tea coffee biscuits wine and milk in fridge and toilet paper also includes details and contact numbers to assist with anything you may need during your holiday There is only one baby gate provided as we feel that this can be easily transported from the top to bottom stair and to prevent too much clutter in the cottage for your comfort.
