Thank you for your feedback, Gary. We’re pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay and found the holiday home clean, comfortable and well equipped. Regarding the heating, when we inspected the holiday home following your departure, we discovered that the boiler had been switched off at the boiler itself. We have a Nest smart thermostat installed specifically to make adjusting the heating as simple as possible for our guests. Normally, all that’s required is to turn the thermostat dial to your preferred temperature. However, with the boiler switched off, the heating would not have responded. There is also an electric fire in the lounge, which provides an alternative source of heating and is something we regularly use ourselves rather than having the central heating on. It’s unfortunate that you didn’t contact us during your stay, as we would have been more than happy to help identify and resolve the issue straight away, ensuring you were comfortable throughout your holiday. We were, however, disappointed with the condition in which the holiday home was left following your departure, particularly the excessive amount of dog hair found throughout the property, including on the beds, bedding, furniture and even the cooker. Our cleaner spent two hours cleaning, followed by a further three hours by ourselves, including cleaning the carpets, to restore the holiday home to its usual standard. We allow dogs to stay free of charge as a courtesy to our guests, rather than charging additional pet fees. In return, we simply expect guests to take responsibility for their pets, clean up after them and leave the holiday home in a reasonable condition for the next guests.

Hi Anthony, Thank you for your feedback. We’re pleased you enjoyed your stay and would consider returning. Regarding the bedroom TV, its position at the foot of the bed is actually the manufacturer’s intended location, with the wall reinforcement, electrical sockets and aerial connection all installed there specifically for the TV to be viewed from bed. We also noticed that you rated the accuracy of our listing, as well as the facilities and maintenance, three out of four. We’d be grateful if you could clarify whether there was anything in particular that you felt wasn’t accurately described, or anything relating to the facilities or maintenance that could have been better, as we’d certainly like the opportunity to address it.
