Very nice and very good family we are so happy we will go back again

Lovely property and a lovely stay we had, really enjoyed the fishing in the evening and the staff were all lovely.

Nice clear directions given by the host The cottage was nicely tucked away.

Scenery was stunning. It is situated in a fishery. There is a really lovely cafe on site with reasonable prices. The cottage was cosy,warm and the beds comfy. Good base for travel as 20 minutes from llangollen. The cottage was clean and tidy. Ample parking.

The cottage is fine, needs some modernisation.

Lacks some basics such as hairdryer, enough cutlery  (some was rusted) Temu silicone toilet bush just absolutely gross. Bits of ornaments dotted about all damaged making the place feel abit cheap. Some grubby walls and mould to windows. Just not a luxury cottage in anyway.   Very hot but would complain if it was cold! Drainage poor, sinks stayed filled for about an hour. No outside light so pitch black going to car.  Positives: very cosy little place with a nice little view. Comfy beds and shower OK.  The fishery is clean and well-kept but overpriced and very few fish seen. Of course the time of year impacts the catch but the list on the website didn't feel consistent with what was actually in the water. We paid £35 for my son and I to spend 20 mins on the lake.  I wouldn't personally rush back but it was nice for a change to where we usually go.  It just needs some TLC.

Very disappointed with the property on arrival to find the cleanliness not adequate and the property was tired and in need of some tlc.

The lounge carpet was filthy and badly stained. Dust and cobwebs everwhere. We could not use the sofa in front of the window as one of the seat cushions had completely gone. There was no instructions about anything. No gas for the fire. No central heating control or sign of a boiler. On the plus side. Bronwyn did her best to help and came with her boyfriend, as the caretaker was not around. He got the heating working and they found the control for the cottage in the cafe, which is where the boiler is and gave it to us. The owner contacted us later to say someone would come with a gas cylinder for the fire, which they did but the radiator was not sorted. There was also only two knives for eating with which would be a problem for 4. We did like the grounds and the bed was comfortable.

Beautiful cottage in wonderful surroundings, thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely week away at Harrison's cottage.

The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare easy meals. We would stay again.

Very welcoming and friendly and helpful, we stayed over the Christmas period and there was a Christmas tree put in the property .

An absolutely charming property, in a stunning location.

The hosts were equally helpful and completely non intrusive, leaving you with total privacy. Their attention to detail is impeccable, leaving nothing to chance in ensuring you have the perfect stay. The property has everything you could require, with the exception of your food, drink and clothes. The bed and pillows were comfortable and high quality linen was also provided. Everything worked as it should and was very clean. I will definitely be staying again.

Great base for touring and a lovely site but unfortunatey spoilt by Geese Poo EVERYWHERE.

House needs refreshed and updating. Staff very nice and helpful especially James.

We really enjoyed the holiday.

The site kitchen is next door where they serve lovely food and is very popular with passing motorists but there is plenty of car parking space and you have your own private space. The fishing site is very well maintained and there is sufficient space for everyone. Wonderfully quiet during the night and very comfortable beds

Had a great stay at the cottage this weekend for my dads birthday.

Very cosy whilst my dad enjoyed the fishing. Cafe was amazing superb brekky!! Couldn’t recommend enough all staff were helpful and friendly, will definitely book again in the future!

Had a great stay for the second time.

The Internet was a bit hit and miss. You had to go upstairs to get reception. And the shower went hot and cold and wasn't very powerful. But the location is brilliant.

A great holiday cottage beside the fish ponds, and so close to walking and mountain biking trails!

Have stayed in several hundred Self Catering over 45 years - Worse One Provided by the Holiday Company and Owners - Appalling No Information Folder - No Reception Sign - No Cafe Times - No TV & Satellite Instructions- No Instructions for the Calor - No Instructions for the Microwave - No Wi Fi Instructions eg Password- No Roasting Tin - No Baking Tray - No Small Knives - No Corkscrew or Bottle Opener - No Pint Glasses - No Place Mats - No Peeler - No Danger Sign regarding raised Kitchen Floor Tiles in front of Oven - No BBQ - No Mobile Signal on site in case of A &E needed - No Rubbish Instructions regarding Disposal or whether Recycling- No Departure Instructions for Keys etc Would Stay Here Again - But would Ensure we Bring everything with us that the Owners Don't Provide nor Does Sykes Ensure they Provide what they say their Letting Company says they do.

Fantastic stay, lovely cottage, perfect for the break we were looking for.

Lovely , friendly people, fab cafe , nothing was too much trouble.

It Was the second time than i go to Llandegla fishery and it was wonderfull like the first time.

Simon and the team are very very helpfull , i 'm asking if they have a bbq and the day after it was there in front of my.door. Thak you for all it was à great pleasure to star there. Christian from Belgium.

We have had a lovely family stay.

Three of us in the cottage and four in their camper van on the same site. The cottage was excellent - everything that we expected was there. It was very clean and comfortable and James, the host, could not have been more friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Would highly recommend and would not hesitate to stay there again.

An old property which has been tastefully renovated & with a modern kitchen & bathroom.

Comfortable, warm, & with great views over the fishing lakes & towards the hills. Although the listing mentions potential noise & aromas from the cafe next door, at no time did I notice either. The cafe itself does excellent food, & with breakfasts of that quality, why bother cooking yourself? Patchy wifi connection downstairs, but fine upstairs. However, this is a remote, rural location, so don't expect the kinds of speeds that you may be used to at home. A great location for a few days break, and I look forward to returning.

We had a lovely week away at the cottage.

Staff were very welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Facility provided everything you needed including a very large bowl of fresh fruit which was a lovely surprise. Will certainly will be returning next year. Oh forgot my husband enjoyed the excellent fishing

It was great and we really enjoyed!

Hopefully we will come again in future. The only problem was WiFi. We have no reception on our phone and WiFi was very very poor. Other than the internet issue, it was excellent!

We had a brilliant week at the cottage.

Even the weather on the whole was kind to us. But even if it hadn’t been the cottage was so well equipped and spacious it would have been a pleasure to spend time in.The fishing was spot on, and wonderful walking in the forests just across the road. Plus a beautiful part of Wales to explore. Also Simon and his staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. And the welcome bowl of fruit and two vases of flowers were the cherry on the cake.

We only stayed for three days due to worry over Covid.

The internet never worked needs to be removed from listing.

Holiday cottage is in a beautiful quiet setting.

Great base to explore surrounding areas.

It's a fabulous setting,so relaxing,shops a few miles away,lovely pub grub a couple of miles down the road,the weather was fantastic so really couldn't ask for more,my daughter and me had a wonderful time.

The holiday was better than expected.

the scenery was lovely.and the fishing was brilliant.two course lakes.and three trout lakes.unfortunately we only discovered the forest walks on the last night.would have liked to explore them more.as there is supposed to be crossbills and nightjars there. The accommodation was perfect.and the cafe was handy.

WOW!

!! what a place. It was quite superb. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. Fresh flowers, a bowl of fruit, loads of fresh clean towels, and what views looking out over the lakes and countryside. I am a landscape gardener and know how difficult it is to maintain this kind of appearance. The whole team work really hard and you can feel how important it is to them all. To be honest, we ate a fantastic breakfast in the cafe each morning and it set us up for a day of fishing. Am going back. We only have three words to say; FANTASTIC! FANTASTIC! FANTASTIC! Thank you Simon & Team!

Fabulous cottage.

Great setting, ie lakes, countryside. Cottage very pretty, warm and cosy, well equipped. Also great cafe onsite, very good food, well prepared. Lovely staff. Just a really great place. Susan & Guy

The cottage was in a very special place with the fishing on the door step.

There are a few issues in the cottage that require looking at 1 no dressing table and mirror in bed rooms 2 shower not very good. Otherwise the place was perfect.and the people on the ground running the show were very friendly and very helpful.
