  • "The place is spotlessly clean and missing nothing."

It is so conveniently located only 5 mins drive or 20 mins walk along the Cinder path to Whitby. Amazing views of the viaduct too. The parking disc was very useful, thank you!

  • "The house was situated in a beautiful idyllic place, beneath the viaduct, giving access to lovely walks into the town centre, just a 20 minute walk away."

The house was immaculate and a lovely welcome gift awaited us, even for the dog too. We had beautiful weather, which was even better. We were so lucky to find this house and would definitely be back.

Will definitely come back! Made us want to move to Whitby for good

  • "Brilliant place to stay."

Everything you need and more besides. Great location, short walk to Whitby and so quiet. The only sounds are birds and peace. While walking I spotted a Kingfisher and saw a seal in Whitby Harbour. Would definitely book again. The owner was very thoughtful and great communication.

  • "Brilliant house with everything we needed close to Whitby."

Only gripe the site offered no recycling facilities.

  • "Great location, really well equipped cottage with plenty of rainy day activities."

Lovely and clean throughout though I felt it is beginning to show some slights signs of wear and tear in the bathroom. Nevertheless it didn’t effect our stay and was still more then happy with the cottage. Would definitely recommend.

  • "Beautiful property, well furnished with very comfortable bedrooms."

Let down slightly with cleanliness. Some areas quite dusty, some pans and utensils needed washing and bathroom needs some attention. The bathroom let the property down. Lovely welcome gifts.

  • "Was very impressed with the additional touches such as the welcome pack for dogs as well as humans!"

The decor wasn't just the usual magnolia and was themed throughout; made it seem more like a home from home than a holiday cottage. Exterior was also lovely with hanging baskets, plant pots and good quality outdoor furniture, including a barbecue.

  • "Excellent accommodation which really felt like home."

Well equipped kitchen with a lovely welcome pack of tea bags, coffee and a bottle of bubbly. Also a nice touch to have games and beach equipment to use whilst we were there. Only annoyance was the bedroom doors which rubbed against the carpet and required some effort to open and shut. Other than that it was perfect.

  • "Brilliant base for exploring the east coast , the house exceeded our expectations , a real home from home , in a beautiful spot ."

The children loved feeding the ducks , and watching the steam train go past , how often can you go on holiday with three children and say we never once had the television on! Will definitely be returning to Fox's Den.

  • "The best equipped holiday accommodation we have used."

Ideal location. Quiet, but only a short walk into Whitby across the viaduct, so no parking problems.

Got there and it wasn't wrong information given. Apart from that cottage was great.

Apart from that very good accomodation and a great location .

  • "Fox's Den is a wonderful holiday property."

1.5 miles out of Whitby on the Cinder Track and alongside the beautiful disused Railway Viaduct. Easy walking into Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay. The property is most comfortable and beautifully presented and met all our needs. Thank you, my brothers and sisters and I had a most wonderful holiday together.
