  • "A lovely clean and comfortable cottage almost home from home with everything provided."

On arrival a pint of milk biscuits, homemade honey and jam to enjoy. The cottage has a beautiful garden at the back which we were invited to use to exercise our dog and the lane at the back of the property was a safe area to let the dog off of the lead. We would thoroughly recommend this cottage. A credit to the owners

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. Hope we might welcome you both and Dottie here again sometime. Property Owner

  • "Ideal for two people, good layout."

The shower was great. Access to and from the road was a little tricky, the driveway safety mirror was a great help and after a couple of days we had got used to it. Plenty of footpaths in the village for walking the dog. Great accommodation.

Also visited Scarborough, Whitby and Filey on the coast. The property is away from the main road and very quiet. This is one of the finest self contained properties I have ever stayed in, all furnishings top quality and a fabulous walk in shower!

It's very clean and tidy, quiet and when the windows are open you can hear the roadside stream. All kitchenware is provided which is very handy, shower was very powerful and bed was very comfortable. We would highly recommend and will definitely stay again when we travel to Yorkshire.

  • "Yeomans Cottage is ideally placed for a varied holiday."

Picturesque villages, walking on the North Yorkshire Moors, Cleveland Way and the Yorkshire Wolds. Also nearby is the Dalby Forest for cycling, Go Ape etc. The Yorkshire Coastline is only about 12 miles away. A lovely cottage in a beautiful area. The hosts have thought about everything, the cottage is very well appointed and well equipped, also very eco friendly. We highly recommend and will return ourselves if we visit the area again.

  • "Cottage is beautiful, very clean and comfortable Lovely bathroom with great shower."

Everything is on hand in cottage, including ice for G&T in freezer in the shed. My only concern was there is no confined outside space for dogs The driveway opens onto fairly busy road on a blind corner so we couldn’t let our dog out just to mooch about Only minor issue it wouldn’t put us off staying again

  • "Yeomans Cottage was just beautiful, our hosts were perfect, we knew they were available if anything were needed."

Nothing was needed. The cottage is very well appointed, every measure in place to keep us Covid safe. Have to say the photographs don’t do this cottage justice. It is purpose built for letting, very well thought out. We had a happy few days. Already thinking about our next visit. Book this cottage with confidence.

  • "The cottage is fabulous, and sufficient space for my husband and me and our dog, Harry."

The interior design was very tasteful but practical, with a beautiful shower rim. All providing a relaxing feel. There was nothing that we needed extra. There was a utility area adjacent to the cottage with a freezer and washer/drying machines; pet towels and a Hoover if you wanted to use it. We brushed up as it was easy to do. The owners were lovely people and always on hand if you needed anything - which we didn’t of course! They were aware of the need for residents privacy too. There are local dog walk lanes at the back of the property which you could either access via the owners garden; or like we did, walked down the road for 5 minutes to use the public footpath. We will be coming back

It was very clean, is finished to a high standard and it has a great heating system to keep you warm even in the colder weather. The hosts were very friendly! The cottage is in a nice area with local walking routes. Also a short driving distance from Pickering as well as castles and walking routes. There are covid measures in place and we felt very safe whilst we were there. We would recommend this lovely cottage and hope to be back sometime!

  • "Yeoman's Cottage is a lovely place to stay."

Quiet location with walks close by for the dog. The accommodation was large enough for 2 and the kitchen was well equipped. The shower was lovely and large. Lots of places in the village to buy eggs and honey. All in all, a lovely holiday and would not hesitate to recommend.

  • "Loved the 'brand new' feel to the cottage - and it had absolutely everything we needed."

Ruth and John are also a wealth of knowledge on the local area - and so can offer help and advice on where to go etc. Local walks straight from the door of the cottage with our dog was a great bonus. Along with a paid pass to Dalby Forest - one of the to do's on our list anyway. We will definately be returning and recommending to friends and family alike - in fact we are considering buying as a Christmas present to someone close this year.

The cottage was lovely - great to see had been made COVID secure and we left safe throughout the stay. Nice area to go for walks, good location with Dalby not far away - the members card that was supplied was also a lovely touch giving free parking and a discount on GoApe & Bike Hire! The facilities in the cottage were great, very homely. I would highly recommend this cottage as an ideal getaway location. P.S. very cute dog!
