Temple Hill View

The house is absolutely stunning.

On arrival we were left a letter from the owner along with essentials such as bread, milk, jam, tea, coffee. The house was immaculate and super clean. It was above and beyond what me and my family expected. Thank you so much. We will certainly be booking again and recommending to family and friends.

We enjoyed our stay, great location for visiting sights of interest and the coast.

We were within steps of a lovely walking route. The accommodation was very comfortable and had everything that we needed. Thank you.

We had a wonderful week at Temple Hill View.

The views from the property were spectacular especially from the conservatory at the rear where we sat for our morning tea every day before heading out. There were only the two of us with our two dogs but the property would have been perfect for the maximum person stay as the lounge and dining area was large. We slept in the master bedroom which was bright and spacious with glorious views and the shower was excellent. The rear garden was great for playing with the dogs but there were also lovely walks on the doorstep. We were grateful for the welcome pack as the weather was so bad on our journey down we didn’t stop for essentials. We did have lovely weather thereafter. We ate in both the pubs which were excellent and the village shop was great for essentials.

One of the best places we've stayed in a long time, everything was perfect and true to the description.

The welcome pack was much appreciated (plus the little extras we found in the cupboards, that you sometimes forget to pack, eg salt, pepper and vinegar) and sitting in the conservatory with our morning cuppa, watching our dog in the secure garden was a treat. We love the quiet little village and found plenty of places to walk the dog and the people were very friendly, all in all a perfect short break, we will definitely be back,

We were pleasantly impressed with the descriptive accuracy of the property. The beds were very comfortable .It was located in a great position in the village and just a short walk to the White Swan pub. We dined there 2 nights and the food and beer was excellent. We would definitely return again. The welcome pack was appreciated.

The holiday home was beautifully presented and made for a very comfortable stay.

It was very clean, well equipped and offerred everything needed for our stay. The welcome pack was very thoughtful. The garden was secure and well kept and perfect for our dog. Nicholas was very helpful and friendly and is to be congratulated on such a well thought through home. My only suggestion would be to have an outside light at the side kitchen door area. I highly recommend Temple Hill View.

Lovely and clean, spacious, everything we needed could be found there.

The beds were comfortable, and there was ample storage for our things. Lovely quiet village with off-road parking. A beautiful fenced garden with a great view. A nice walk past a field had you on a pond with incredible wildlife.

Brilliant property, that was a great base for exploring the area.

Clean and spacious with off road parking for 2 cars. The kids loved the table football too. The only slight negative was that the mattress in the main bedroom lacked support and seemed ‘sunken’.

A wonderful place for a short stay, the views from the back of the house are fantastic and there is a great walk between the fields that starts about 20 meters from the front door, perfect for dog-walking!

The property is well-equipped and extremely clean. You can also easily fit two cars on the driveway should you need to. A welcome pack was waiting for us (bread, jam, butter, tea, coffee, milk and shortbread) and Nichola even leaves dog bowls and a ball for your dog, a really nice touch. The village was very quiet during our stay and it's really handy for days out to the likes of Helmsley, Castle Howard etc. Nichola responds to any queries very quickly and although we didn't get to meet her, she comes across as a very kind and understanding person - we had to delay the start of our holiday due to a health issue and she couldn't have been more understanding. All-in-all, a highly recommended place to stay.

Very good location for visiting the area.

Comfortable house, basically equipped. The addition of mirrors and waste baskets in the bedrooms would be useful. Garden very secure with a lovely outlook. Easy parking.

Our stay at Temple Hill was wonderful!

We arrived to some welcomed treats (bread, butter, jam and shortbread bites). The property was really nicely kept, clean and allowed me to park my car without worry. I was overjoyed that the garden was fully enclosed meaning that I could let my border terrier dog roam free between the house and garden without any worries at all. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to cook. The bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely and the showers were great. It was also wonderful to be able to sit out and enjoy the garden. The property it close to a lovely breathing space field where I could walk my dog that led onto a larger field. This was a perfect place to relax. Thank you so much to the host. We will be back!

Temple hill is a great holiday house, the location is superb and everything we needed was provided.

Had everything we needed. Very clean. Good communication with the owner. Room on the drive for 2 cars. We didn’t take our dog but was pleased to see the rules if we had taken her. Enjoyed sitting in the comfy conservatory. Plenty to see nearby. A really enjoyable 3 days.

Lovely house in a good location.

Everything we needed for us and our 2 dogs was provided. Very lucky with the weather too. Visited lots of places during our stay. Sutton Bank and Duncombe Park were our favourites. White Horse is a lovely pub too. Would definitely recommend.

Everything that you need from a countryside stay!

Comfortable, clean, warm, clear comms from the host. 10min walk to pub, coffee, and shop. Easy driving access to the Moors. Couldn't recommend more.

Clean.

Quiet. Lovely property. Gorgeous views out the back of the property. Local cafe serves lovely food. Local pubs are very nice. All the people we meet in the village were very friendly. Will definitely stay again.

We were a group of 5 adults plus one baby and one dog and the house was more than spacious enough.

The first thing that struck us when we arrived was just how clean it was! Absolutely spotless in every single room. The kitchen was kitted out enough for us to do a Christmas dinner and the dining room table was perfect for the occasion. The homeowner was friendly and very helpful during our stay when we had a few minor questions about the heating which was no problem at all. The views from the garden were gorgeous and the local pub (2mins away) does some excellent real ale and pub Grub. We would 100% stay here again.

Delightful holiday home.

Comfortable, warm and spotlessly clean. Modern kitchen with everything you could possibly need. On arrival there was tea, coffee, milk, jam….(the list goes on) and dog bowls, towels and a tennis ball. Making us, and our dogs feel most welcome. The views are beautiful! Open countryside that stretches for miles. Stunning. York, Helmsley, Castle Howard, all worth a visit. Thank you Nichola, for a lovely relaxing stay and we’d definitely like to return.

Great place to stay very clean comfortable highly recommend

Wonderful stay in this property as a family of 4 with a 3 and 7 year old.

Property was super clean and well finished - honestly the best stocked property we've ever stayed in with everything you might ever need during your stay! A really lovely and helpful touch to have some fresh bread, butter, milk, biscuits and even a new jar of marmalade left for us on arrival. Setting is beautiful, backing onto fields with a lovely walk into the countryside literally outside the door and a great park barely a minute away if you are staying with kids. House is lovely and quiet, warm and quickly felt like home even just for a few days. Convenient for us visiting Pickering and York during our stay. We will without doubt be staying again in the future if we're in the area.
