Description
A traditional stone-built terraced cottage situated in the picturesque village of Langthwaite, three miles from Reeth in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Full of charm, this cottage has been tastefully renovated throughout, retaining original features such as the characterful beams.
Set over two floors, the cottage offers a luxurious bedroom on the first floor with en-suite facilities and a king-size bed, perfect for a romantic getaway.
The stunning living room on the ground floor is the main attraction, complete with a woodburning stove to snuggle up in front of in the colder months.
This room also opens out onto the fabulous rear patio overlooking the river, the perfect place to sit and enjoy a glass of something cold on a warm summer’s evening.
For romantic dinners in, the cottage has a well-equipped kitchen.
Langthwaite is famous for being the shooting location for many scenes in the television 'All Creatures Great and Small' and after seeing the hamlet and its surrounding countryside it becomes instantly clear why they chose to film in this beautiful area.
There are two pubs within walking distance of the cottage, visit the Red Lion next door or why not take a gentle stroll to the CB Inn, both serving delicious food and local ales.
For local amenities, the picturesque village of Reeth is only three miles away, whilst further afield the popular Yorkshire market towns of Richmond and Barnard Castle are easily reached from this delightful Langthwaite cottage.
An ideal base to enjoy the best the Yorkshire Dales has to offer.

What guests are saying
Brig End is a characterful cottage in a stunning location on the river and in a beautiful village.
We found it to be well equipped, cosy and comfortable. There is plenty to explore on foot and bike from the cottage.
I dont normally leave reviews but i feel compelled to do so this time.
The cottage was very disappointing. The cottage was unclean. From the weeds growing along the front of the cottage, to the bath being stained from previous occupiers use. The windows looked like they had not been cleaned for years. Dead flies and cobwebs everywhere. The white toilet seat is yellow on the underside - absolutely disgusting. A large area of plaster is missing against the fireplace. The external terrace is dangerous because it is covered in slime and has clearly not been cleaned in years. The patio furniture is unclean and past its best. The shower has leaked in the past and resulted in damage and staining to the ceiling in the living room. No attempt has been made to repair this damage. Joinery around the the shower tray is stained and rotting. No vacuum in the cottage so cleaning is difficult. We booked for 7 nights but in the end we left the cottage after only 5 nights. Upon leaving, we stripped the bed. I wish we hadn't as we found actual dirt laying on the stained mattress. Again, absolutely disgusting! Sykes Cottages have this cottage rated as 5 Star accommodation which is very misleading. Both the owner and Sykes should be ashamed of the state in which this cottage was let out to us. It's such a shame because this has the potential to be such a lovely place to stay.
Potentially cosy and well equipped but one or two problems: toilet seat partially unhinged downstairs storage heaters hard to fathom and control electrical socket near bed loose/ dangerous disposal of rubbish required key- not available
