"We loved our stay."
The cottage was very clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed and the location was excellent. When we arrived the boiler was not working but when we called about it, someone was there to answer our call and a repairman was there within an hour. We would definitely stay again and would highly recommend it.
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry for your inconvenience and are pleased that the issue could be resolved ASAP. We look forward to host you again. Host Team Little Nest cottage Property Owner

"I have had to score low on the cleanliness, as the shower head was black with mold, so when i showered i was getting covered in black bits and they where all in the bath too even after day 3, also the hand wash had mold in too so couldn't be used, that been said the rest was lovely and clean it may just be down to not being used often and one deep clean of the shower head or a replacement would be perfect."
this was used for an employee stay and its for a project that will be running for another year, so if this was fixed we would love to use this accommodation regularly as everything else was great, apart from the bump on the entrance to the car park which kept scraping the underneath of my car but obviously that isnt something that can be changed. Thank you for a lovely stay
Thanks for your frank feedback and we apologise for the issues you raised. We shall get those issues sorted out straightaway by liaising with cleaning team. Best wishes Property Owner

Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Would definitely come back again. It had everything we needed. A great location for visiting the beach or Whitby and Scarborough. A great little town that has everything you could possibly need.

"Comfortable, clean and homely property."
Lovely quiet location. Could maybe do away with washing machine and put in a cupboard as no storage space for shopping. Had to defrost freezer before we could use it as it was frosted over. Also maybe invest in some steak knives as we ended up having to share the small kitchen knife to cut out steak dinner.
We are glad you enjoyed your stay at Little Nest! Your detailed feedback is much appreciated. The cozy cottage has limited space in kitchen and your advice is a thoughtful suggestion. We shall address the freezer and knives availability soon. We look forward to host you again! Host Team, Little Nest Cottage Property Owner

"Lovely little property well maintained with good facilities and very central."
Really appreciated the crisps and biscuits. Beds were really comfy and lovely decor. The floors were not very clean and there were what we thought looked like dog hairs all over. Back bedroom was very noisy woken up each night early hours of the morning by people talking directly outside the bedroom window and parking under the window. Very close to the pub walked past a man urinating at the entrance of the arch to the yard and another vomiting which we did not expect to see. Overall a nice stay and very central for visiting all the places we wanted to go to and visited a couple of lovely cafes locally.
Thanks for your helpful feedback. I asked the cleaning team to address the cleanliness issue ASAP. Unfortunately the issues with unruly pub goers are not under our control. Thank you and hope you visit us again! Property Owner

"Had a lovely stay at Little Nest Cottage."
It was exactly as described in the listing - a little cottage in town centre location, well furnished and a comfortable base for exploring North Yorkshire. The cottage had everything we needed and a nice welcome pack of coffee/ teas and treats when we arrived. While the cottage does allow dogs, which was great given that we were travelling with ours, there isn’t a garden or a nearby space for them to use (the front door opens directly into the communal car park) We were aware of this before our visit so it wasn’t too much of a problem, so just something for future guests to be aware of too. Overall, I would say the cottage was very good value for money and we had a very pleasant stay. Thank you!
Thanks for your kind feedback, we look forward to host you again The nearest public outdoor space is on ‘New road’ on the other side of High Street, less than 5 minutes walk Host team, Little Nest cottage Property Owner

"Really lovely little cottage, everything was really nicely done, it was spotlessly clean and warm and comfortable."
Perfect location in the centre of town, but being tucked away in a courtyard, it was nice and peaceful, allocated parking a real bonus. We will definitely return.

"The cottage was spotlessly clean and well provided."
It was very tastefully decorated with lovely pictures and cushions. It made the place feel well loved and a home from home. The bed was lovely and comfortable and I liked the convenient location for amenities. Little Nest was cosy and Johnsons Yard was quiet despite being in the heart of town. The little turning into the yard was tricky sometimes, especially on bin collection day and the big hump scraped on my front bumper each time I drove over it. Not having a back door was not an issue until unfortunately, the door handle broke off on my last day and this would have caused a much bigger problem had I not been leaving that day.
Dear guest, many thanks for your kind feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. The hump in the pathway to cottage is a speed bump installed by council and hence we have no control on it. We are sorry you had the inconvenience of door handles breaking off - this was promptly addressed on the same day and new handles were fitted. The current guest confirmed that. We look forward to host you again Little Nest Cottage team Property Owner

"Small but perfectly formed very cosy and immaculately clean."
High quality furniture and fittings a real gem . One of the best cottages we have stayed in. The high street with lots of places to eat is literally on your doorstep. If you are taking a doggo there is no garden front or back so no private space to do business. An added extra perhaps you could consider is a rubber non slip bath mat. We will be booking again
Many thanks for your kind feedback. We shall provide non-slip bathmat at the earliest, thanks for bringing this to our attention. We look forward to host you soon Host Team, Little Nest cottage Property Owner

"Would be helpful to have instructions for the oven , we couldn’t use it ."
And as older people we weren’t very good with the smart tv apps as tv didn’t have normal free view . Apart from that the cottage was beautiful, Thankyou .
Thank you for your kind rating of Little Nest cottage. Apologies that the instructions for the Oven were unavailable to you - we shall ensure that a copy is available for guest's usage. The TV is a 'smart' one and free channels are available through Wifi. We look forward to see you again Host Team Little Nest Cottage Property Owner

Where you’ll be staying
GUISBOROUGH
Saltburn-by-the-Sea 6 miles; Staithes 13 miles; Whitby 21 miles.
Guisborough is an attractive market town set in rural surroundings on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. Steeped in history, Guisborough is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the town's most notable feature is the beautiful ruined abbey, Gisborough Priory; standing in full glory, to its original height of 97 feet, the dramatic gothic east gable towers high over the market town and has become a well-known icon of the town. This bustling small town has twice-weekly market days, a good selection of eateries, excellent pubs and many independent shops. Around Guisborough sits the spectacular woodland of Guisborough Forest. Guisborough Forest & Walkway is situated in Pinchinthorpe on the outskirts of Guisborough at the northern end of the A173. It extends for 2.5 miles along part of the route followed by the old Guisborough Branch Railway line, heading west towards Nunthorpe, and east to Guisborough Forest, which is managed by Forest Enterprise. It is a gateway site to the North York Moors National Park and offers splendid views of Roseberry Topping to the south. Points of local interest include Highcliff Nab and Hanging Stone. Captain Cook 92s Monument is also within walking distance. The Cleveland Way and the Tees Link walks pass through Guisborough Forest, and are just two of the many walking routes easily accessible to visitors. This super country park has cycle trails, walking routes, bridleways, a trim trail and an easier sculpture trail. The park includes the Guisborough Walkway which runs along the former trackbed of the Middlesbrough to Whitby railway line. This includes a wetland area with boardwalks, woodlands and grasslands. You can also climb Highcliff Nab for fabulous views of Teeside and the coast. The park is also very popular with mountain bikers with a number of super trails to explore. There is an excellent visitor centre with full details of all the trails in the park. The long distant trail of the Cleveland Way passes close by, whilst nearby Roseberry Topping is well worth the climb to take in the spectacular views. An easy thirty minute drive brings you to the Heritage Coastline, with historic villages and resorts, including Staithes, Saltburn and Whitby to enjoy.
