  • "Was looking forward to this break in a 4 tick lodge expected facilities to be of a 4 star cottage!"

    How did you come to 4 ticks it's only basic! What I expect for a 4 Star as a owner of a cottage is:- Washer/Iron/Hair dryer in each bedroom/Hoover/Welcome pack/quality mattress and bedding/shower gel soap. There was no kitchen roll/no milk nearest shop is a car ride away, Wi-Fi and TV didn't work properly! No instructions how to use gas cooker/heating system and only one contact number that wasn't answered for nearly two days!! The decking and windows are all grubby also internal window blinds .For the price point it's not worth the money! Site is lovely would return in a different lodge. .

    sorry you didn't enjoy your stay, the lodge is self catering and future guests need to ensure you bring basic toiletries food items etc . we were unable to find any missed phone calls with regard to TV etc and in the pack is a phone number that enables guests to get help as fast as humanly possible, there's also a guide on how to use the tv. The oven and appliances have on and off buttons and the boiler has simple on off switches. We will now leave additional guides on how to switch these appliances on and off. If you required a washer you need to read descriptions of Lodges , some have washers and ours do not, this would be stated in the lodge description. There has now been a hoover and hairdryer left on site, so thanks for your feedback on these items. Property Owner

  • "Had to clean decking and table/chairs outside as this had not been done by cleaners."

    Inside was nice and presentable would benefit from a hoover so inside can be done after they cut grass outside.

  • "In my opinion, the property was as new, clean and a good base to explore the area."

    We were mainly staying to visit my Mum in Filey but we also went into Scarborough and enjoyed walking our dog along the headland towards Sewerby and on Fraisthorpe beach (a first for us!). A hairdryer would have come in useful and also a vacuum cleaner, particularly if staying any longer than 3 nights (especially with a dog). The fruit, milk and orange juice was a lovely surprise and very much appreciated. Thanks! Overall, a lovely stay and we would not hesitate to book again.

  • "Lovely place, quiet site, it had everything you needed in the property for us and our 2 grandchildren."

    Very clean throughout and the beds were comfy too..a bonus to have 2 bathrooms. The dinner plates, cutlery and glasses were a bit grubby but a nice hot wash with fairy liquid and sparkling.. It was a 20 minute walk to the south beach but we drove , parked up and used the park and ride bus to bridlington centre. Overall, a good experience and would highly recommend.

  • "We had a nice relaxing week at the lodge."

    Good location for touring the local area. Lodge was well equipped with everything that we needed. We did have a problem with the heating/hot water but Paul the owner sorted this out for us quickly.

  • "Our second stay at lodge 7 Seabreeze Retreat and it didn’t disappoint, lodge is welcoming, exceptionally clean and cosy."

    The welcome pack of milk, juice and a fruit bowl is a lovely touch. The site is well very kept although we were a little disappointed to find no onsite amenities as it is 7months since we last visited and a notice upon entering the site last year stated that amenities would be forthcoming. Nevertheless it did not spoil our stay and we had a lovely break.

  • "What can I say gorgeous lodge with everything required for a 5 star break in peaceful surroundings."

    The lodge is spacious with top quality furnishings and extremely comfy beds. Linen and towels are excellent quality and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The owner Paul was welcoming and informative and the site is clean and well kept. We will definitely be returning to this lovely lodge. PS A fan would have been welcome as it can get quite hot in the lodge with the extreme temperatures we had last week but that is the only minus.

Filey 10 miles; Scarborough 20 miles.

The seaside resort of Bridlington lies on the east coast of Yorkshire, south of Scarborough and Filey. Two award-winning beaches of golden sand stretch out on either side of the historic harbour, bustling with activity. Beautifully designed promenades provide everything from fun-fairs to quiet places where you can sit and watch the world go by. Shops, attractions, restaurants and the historic 'Old Town' of Bridlington offer a fascinating contrast to life on the beach, where the latest Dad's Army has been filmed, whilst the Bridlington Spa Theatre on the front provides evening entertainment. There is also the East Riding Leisure Centre, with family swimming area and a variety of other indoor activities. Further afield are the picturesque villages and scenery of the Yorkshire Wolds, the neighbouring resorts of Filey, Scarborough and Whitby and the spectacular heritage coastline.
