  • "We absolutely loved our stay at Spindle Cottage and we can’t wait to return!"

The owners were so lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. The cottage was perfect. It was so spacious and the en-suites were so big! The kitchen had everything we needed and we cooked most nights. We were able to park right outside the front door too. The cottage was in a small peaceful picturesque village which was lovely to walk. The owners also own the tea room at the front of the cottage which we visited a few times and loved. There is plenty to do in the local area and Spindle Cottage is the perfect place to explore it from. This was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed in on holiday and was made better by the loveliest of owners. Highly highly recommended!

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay in Spindle Cottage and look forward to seeing you again in the future. Property Owner

We loved visiting the area, we stayed local some days and others we travelled further out .. if you have kids we highly recommend Yorkshire Wildlife Park (1 hour away) and Burnby Hall Gardens - Great park and gardens and we loved feeding the fish!! (10 mins away) York aswell of course! Overall this holiday house was just what we needed, it was exactly as we hoped. The hosts were so nice and they left us a very generous welcome pack. • "Spindle cottage is part of a newly refurbished workshop."

Everything is brand new and the furnishings and decor are immaculate. Bedrooms are lovely and comfortable, each with exceptionally good en suite bathrooms which are also large and beautifully finished to a very very high standard. House was warm, bathrooms with underfloor heating so it was a cosy and luxurious stay. The hosts are very kind and welcoming and nothing was too much of a bother fort them and we received a nice welcome pack and a warm welcome from the owners. Situated between York and Hull, it is an ideal location for visiting the many attractions in the local area. Some nice countryside and walks in the immediate area adjacent too the property. If we return to this area, we will definitely use Spindle Cottage again. 10/10
