Tranquillity and serenity make it even more special. Certainly among the best we have stayed in. We have already booked for next spring.

The eggs and fresh milk was a lovely touch. The dairy was clean and well presented throughout. The beds were so comfy we did not want to leave. The dogs loved the garden. We would all definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone.

  • "Fantastic stay , lovely place, great downstairs bedroom and bathroom for my elderly Mother."

Supermarkets and retail park just 10 minutes away. Front well enclosed lawn was great for our dog Pepper, she didn’t know what to make of the huge horse in the next field ha. Would definitely return.

  • "This is a lovely property in a great location."

We managed to get to the coast (Whitby), over to the Lakes and north up to Alnwick. It was great coming back each day to a really comfortable cottage and putting our feet (and paws) up for the night, ready for another adventure the next day.

  • "Beautiful, spacious accommodation in a quiet, peaceful location."

The Dairy is comfortable, well equipped with everything we needed and is immaculately clean. Great to have an enclosed courtyard and fenced sunny garden with plenty of easy parking for our 3 vehicles. Just to note the boundary adjoining the horses' field is not secure for little dogs.

  • "The property was perfect for us."

We had 3 generations and the property provided comfort and cosiness to us all. It is in an idyllic setting, wonderfully decorated and everything provided that we would want and need. The owners are wonderfully kind, helpful and thoughtful and the animals were lovely to watch and meet. The location is near enough to a huge variety of things to do from waterfalls, to city, to beach to shopping outlet, and so much more in between. We've already booked to go back.

Thank you for your lovely feed back, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for leaving the Dairy so clean and tidy.. We are looking forward to seeing you again. Property Owner

  • "The Dairy is a real gem!"

We needed a nice place to stay for our sons graduation from Durham University and the Dairy did not disappoint. We loved the feel and cleanliness of the property, the sheep at the end of the garden and the welcome gifts of eggs and freshly made bread. Such a wonderful place and stay and the owners contact made everything really easy and simple without being intrusive. Would definitely recommend

  • "Light airy spacious cottage with everything you could possibly need."

A lot of thought has gone into design and finish. 5 star accommodation. On a minor note no instructions for dishwasher and wood burning fire and noticed hoover could do with attention e.g new bag/filter; also clarity where to leave used towels /bedding on departure. Will definitely return and highly recommend.

Thank you for your lovely review. And thank you for leaving the cottage immaculate! I appreciate your comments on the hoover and dishwasher instructions, which have now been remedied. Hoping the weather is now warm enough that the fire is not needed but instructions are now available. Property Owner

There were lots of lovely extra touches provided by Debbie & Sandra like fresh eggs, home baked bread and even biscuits for the dogs. We found some lovely places to visit locally and it was great to come back to such a peaceful and welcoming home from home. Have already been recommending The Dairy and we will be looking to book again.

  • "This is a review I really don't want to write, simply because I'd like to keep knowledge of this place a secret!"

From start to finish booking and staying at 'The Dairy' was a pleasure. The setting is peaceful, and the accommodation set out to a really high standard of cleanliness and comfort. The owners, Debbie and Sandra, live next door and couldn't have been more helpful, even down to the provision of home baked sourdough bread and eggs from their own hens! All being well we will certainly be booking to stay her again!

Thank you for your lovely review. Please don't keep it a secret, tell all your friends! Thank you for leaving the Dairy so spotless, we really appreciate it. Property Owner

We will definitely be returning.
