The property

Enjoying a rural position upon the North York Moors, close to the pretty village of Danby is this this characterful, stone-built property, Pheasant Cottage.

This heart-warming retreat is ideal for a family seeking to explore this wonderful part of the rolling moorland, but is a delightful car journey to the coast where you will find the popular resort town of Whitby.

The interior of the property enjoys a seamless blend of contemporary and character, with the exposed beams framing the carefully selected furnishings and the quality features to ensure a relaxing break for the whole family.

Step into a galley-style kitchen, where you will find everything required to pack a picnic for a walk upon the countryside or to rustle up a delicious home-cooked meal during an evening in!

Beyond here, is the quaint sitting/dining where the roaring woodburning stove takes centre stage before the plush sofa, the TV and the elegantly-presented dining table which is situated in front of the window, offering a quaint space to tuck into your evening meal or breakfast.

After an action-packed day exploring, venture up the staircase to retire to the evening’s embrace within in the master double bedroom, or the twin bedroom which is perfect for any younger guests.

During the summer months, step outside to the rear garden and pour yourself a refreshing drink to enjoy at the patio area or head up the steps to find a lawn area with views across the countryside.

If you don’t feel like cooking one evening, a leisurely stroll will bring you to The Fox & Hounds Inn which serves delicious food and drinks..

For those feeling active, look forward to exploring miles of cycling and walking routes upon the surrounding National Park to immerse yourself in the breath-taking scenery.

Alternatively, soak up the sun at the beaches situated along the coastline or brush up on the local history by spending time within the fishing port of Whitby.

Pheasant Cottage is an outstanding base for exploring this wonderful location.
