Sawdon Heights is an excellent holiday location in a beautiful area of Yorkshire.

We enjoyed our stay here and our hosts were very friendly and helpful.

There were a couple of issues with heating and water but these were dealt with promptly by the hosts. We did feel that being some of the first visitors of the year the cottage had not been prepared adequately. We also felt that the kitchen had very limited work surface/food preparation space and there were no empty cupboards for us to put our non perishable food in. The cottage is well placed in peaceful surroundings and close to local visitor attractions.

Fantastic base for exploring Notth Yorkshire, private and out of the way, yet easy to find.

Accommodation is spacious and clean and the hosts are friendly. This is our third visit and we booked again for next year. Spot on

It was a lovely cottage attached to the owner's property, but we had our own garden which had a lovely view and was lovely and peaceful.

The owners where there if you needed them, and always very helpful when needed. We had a lovely two week stay and would recommend this property to anyone wanting to see the coast of Yorkshire or the North York Moors. A real country cottage in a lovely area of Yorkshire.

Exactly what we expected, Sawdon Heights was excellent, would definitely recommended to family and friends, home from home and in a beautiful area of Yorkshire, our hosts Sue and Andrew were lovely and gave us some excellent recommendations of where to eat out and visit, definitely worth a stay

Very comfortable, spacious and well equipped property.

We had a lovely stay at Sawdon Heights, it is in a very peaceful location, right in the heart of the countryside with lots of birds to watch while having breakfast.

Bedrooms are very comfortable and it was a treat to have a bathroom each. It is close to Scarborough and Whitby, plus there is a rapture view point around 3 minutes away by car, which is great if you are a bird lover. We would definitely come back should we be visiting Yorkshire again.

It was a joy to stay in this well presented very clean and comfortable cottage in an ideal location for us.

Sawdon Heights Cottage certainly lives up to its reviews and some. A beautiful, well equipped cottage set in a stunning location. Ideal Base for holidays and weekend breaks. Fantastic hosts who are incredibly friendly and helpful. 10/10

Wonderful cottage with lovely and very helpful owners.

Very spacious yet cosy, and very clean everywhere. Nearby there is plenty of countryside to explore by foot, and by car there are plenty of towns to drive to - big and small, and all of them closeby (only 30 minutes to Pickering, Scarborough etc).

Clean, warm and comfortable cottage with ensuite bedrooms which was perfect for our family.

The kitchen was well kitted out with everything one needed for a family stay. The host was delightful and helpful. We enjoyed are stay and could recommend the accommodation to others.

The house was very well equipped and the house was very cosy and comfortable. The position of the house was very convenient for trips to the coast, the Forest walks, delightful market towns. The owners were extremely friendly and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and we fully appreciated the welcome pack. I would fully recommend this house to anyone considering a holiday in North Yorkshire

Lovely rural cottage Beautiful inside,.

There are 3 en-suite bedrooms, the one on the ground floor is great for people with mobility iissues as the bathroom id equipped with wide doors and grab rails,0 Although this is an old cottage it has been completely modernised inside and has everything you good ever want in a holiday home. The kitchen is well equipped I have rarely stayed in such a clean place I would recommend this to everyone, oh and yes it has wtfi So important these days edpecially for the youngsters. I must mention the amazing views from the windows.

Gorgeous cottage, idilic setting.

So tranquil. Beds so comfy, lovely bedding and towels. Could do with a casserole dish with lid that’s the only moan. The owners are so very helpful and very friendly. We will be returning shortly. Thanks for a lovely stay.

This cottage was very homely and every comfort had been thought of.

Everything we needed was provided and the extra touches like welcome goodies, with home made cakes were excellent. The position of Sawden Heights was perfect for us, quiet with fantastic views, in close proximity to the places we wanted to visit.

What a gem!

A beautiful cottage with stunning views across the fields. The only noise is the sound of the excitable pigs and birds! The property was well maintained and had every thing you could possibly need. The owners couldn’t have done more to make us feel welcome. We had a fantastic break.

Sawdon Heights is truly a wonderful place to stay.

Its rural location means it is a peaceful place for relaxing, with plenty of birdlife to enjoy, but it also has many places of interest nearby, including Scarborough, Bempton Cliffs, and Dalby Forest. Its owners are very welcoming and helpful, and the cottage itself is delightful and equipped with everything we needed.

Wonderful place!

We arrived a few days late due to unforeseen circumstances but Sue (owner) was amazing! She greeted us on arrival, which was quite late, had put the kettle on, supplied cupcakes, chocolates, tea, coffee and a bottle of wine. The cottage is stunning! Wonderfully big comfortable rooms, cozy and homely. Beautiful views and so peaceful. A short drive away from local amenities and attractions. The owners were both accommodating and super friendly. My elderly father and daughter were introduced to the pigs on the farm and we were all made to feel at welcomed and at home. Highly recommend Sawdon Heights if you’re looking for peace, quiet and comfort. We will definitely look at going back in the future. Thank you!

This was by far the nicest cottage we have stayed in and surprisingly spacious.

If you want a peaceful break in a beautiful setting then look no further as it’s in the middle of the countryside yet a stone throw away from Scarborough. I don’t have anything bad to say about the property at all, it was beautiful. The owners were such a lovely couple who greeted us when we arrived and also made a point of coming to say goodbye and check in on us before we vacated the property. They had even left us cakes, wine, chocolates and milk which was such a lovely personal touch. If we ever come back to Yorkshire then we will definitely be returning to this property as it was perfect in every way.

!! Comfort and facilities are very well catered for. A beautiful, peaceful setting - yet still within reach of places to visit. Would advise you to take walking shoes/boots as the cottage is set right in the country side with plenty of lanes to stroll around. I recommend this holiday cottage to anyone and would be very surprised if they did not enjoy it !!!!

A warm welcome & great value for money. If you want peace & quiet this could be the place for you. Near enough to amazing North Yorkshire towns, villages and the coast, far enough away not to be disturbed. Would highly recommend.

Everyone had a very comfortable stay at Sawdon Heights.

The Welcome Pack was top class especially the homemade cakes. It was a delight to meet Pam and share the delight that we all felt with everything she had prepared to make our stay so comfortable. A five star property and a five star hostess.

It was easy to see why this scored a perfect 5.

The moment you walk through the front door it’s like home, cosy and comfortable. Stunning views from the rear of the house and garden, just beautiful and relaxing. Sue and Andrew were very friendly and always happy to take time from their very busy day to chat. We were blessed with exceptional weather which added to the holiday. Would definitely stay again.

The house was the perfect base for our family holiday. The kitchen was well equipped and the accommodation was very comfortable. The outside area looked lovely too. We enjoyed the welcome treats as well. There was plenty of info about local attractions and places to eat. We would recommend Sawdon Heights!

The house is very well furnished and decorated with all the utensils equipment etc that you could require.

Sue and Andrew are very friendly and are on hand if you need their advice or assistance. The house is away from busy roads and is extremely quiet except for the odd partridge screeching usually about breakfast time. My only complaint is that there is a blue tit that perched on my car door mirror every morning admiring itself and poohing down the car door!!! As you can assume our stay was excellent and thoroughly enjoyable, I cannot recommend this property and it’s owner’s highly enough! Don’t hesitate book now.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sawdon Heights.

We used our stay as a family get together and the cottage was ideal. The weather was a big bonus and it enabled us to take advantage of the patio and wonderful views. Sue was really helpful and recommended a couple of really good places to eat.

The property was ideal everything you needed was there the standard of all the furniture and fittings was excellent.

The owners were very pleasant and helpful and the cakes were lovely.The location was ideal for a relaxing break. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants a quiet break.

A lovely property, feel the photos don’t do it justice.

Love the way the property is decorated giving it the right ambience. The kitchen had all the gadgets we needed and is clean. All the rooms are of a good size, with more than enough seating. Beds were very comfortable and a good night sleep was had by us all. The welcome pack was very much appreciated. Felt help would have been always at hand if and when required from a very friendly Sue. It was so quiet with only the song birds to break the silence. We enjoyed the daily visit from a male partridge who seemed check that all was well by looking through the window in the evenings. Lovely, peaceful stay and would certainly return.

Were a bit surprised that the owners had a pigs farm. We had a very warm welcome in a lovely, clean and cozy cottage with a great view. Everything we needed was there. The owners, Sue and Dick are very hospitable and helpful!

The owners are top drawer, very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. The farm sits in a lovely rural location with complete tranquility, perfect for us as a base so feel very spoiled after our week! Definately need to return here as its been hard to leave it behind us. Our thanks to Sue and Andrew for a brilliant stay!

Sawdon Heights was a definite home from home for myself and three friends.

Such a beautifully clean cottage, which had everything we needed. The area is beautiful and we had a lovely time. Awaiting us when we arrived were chocolates and wine and an amazing home made cake. The owners were friendly and available in case we need anything.

Despite the recent covid crisis we felt safe and nicely isolated, but only a few miles from shops and excellent eating places all with efficiently safe guarding in place.

A very quiet location on the moors adjacent to the owners farm.

Excellent bedrooms all with en-suite, very comfortable beds, great patio area with BBQ, the kitchen is well equipped and modern, everything is clean and very well maintained. A superb cottage with everything you need to explore the area.

This cottage is well equipped, plenty of crockery and cutlery.

Seating is good and dining space is too. Could not open the French doors - there was no key. Easy to control the heating - just turn the thermostat off if you don't want heat - as I did. Upstairs and downstairs are controlled separately. Owners are welcoming and friendly and helpful. I do, however, think it would be a good idea to inform potential holidaymakers that the property is some distance from the main road (2+ miles I would think) and then a long, long farm track which has a lot of potholes and could potentially damage any car that is, like mine, somewhat 'low slung!!' Luckily we hadn't used it for this break.

An excellent cottage.

Ample parking, very clean and well equiped, very comfortable with lovely beds, owner was very friendly and helpful. A small but beautifully located patio area, sunny and sheltered in the afternoon It provided us with an perfect base for exploring the coast and the North York Moors.

The cottage was lovely and clean and comfortable. The cottage was situated in lovely countryside ideal for touring the North York moors and the east coast.

This is a beautiful property on a farm about a mile north of Sawdon village in Yorkshire about 3 miles off the A170 roughly halfway between Pickering and Scarborough.

Although it is on a farm, there is very little farm noise as the cottage is well away from any work areas. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds are very comfortable and at night it is totally dark and utterly silent. Best nights sleep I've had in ages. The heating is great and the hot water is plentiful. It wasn't warm enough to sit out, there's a lovely secluded patio with fantastic views that would be brilliant in the summer evenings. Will definitely go again.Highly recommend.
