    The cottage was immaculately presented and supplied with everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed the quiet of the countryside and the views of Scarborough from the field opposite the property. The welcome basket was also appreciated.   • "One of the nicest properties we have visited."

    The cottage was cosy, warm very comfortable and peaceful. Ideally located for visiting the main attractions in the area. Paul and Karen, the owners, were on hand to offer help and information when needed. The welcome pack was also much appreciated. We were disappointed in not seeing the deer and other local wildlife but were compensated by the resident ducks who visited us every morning.

The picturesque village of Scalby lies just 2.5 miles from the seaside resort of Scarborough. The village centre, with its stone cottages and Victorian houses, boasts good facilities, with a pub, two local shops, a quaint tea room, a hairdressers and a beauty salon. Surrounded by rolling hills and beautiful countryside, with thousands of hectares of moors and forest, it makes the perfect place to stay, with numerous public footpaths and the well-known Scalby Beck, which winds its way to the coast. A weekly farmers market is held in the grounds of St. Lawrence’s Church Rooms, selling local produce.
