Very warm welcome provided, and was quick to fix an issue we had with one of the bedroom lamps. Using the rubber duck to let us know when the hot tub was available to use was so adorable. Julie was so welcoming & friendly, but not intrusive. We packed too many things not needed due to the cottage being so well equipped. USB points in bedroom & 1 in the kitchen area. Hairdryer, iron & table top ironing board supplied. All types of plastic glasses for the hot tub supplied. They even had a butter dish, salt & pepper, a few spices, tea towels, dishwasher tablets, kitchen spray to name a few items. Your own bins are at the side of the cottage which was great for recycling. The cottage was the cleanest we have ever stayed in, we thought we had the cleanest oven out of anybody until we saw the one in the cottage. The hot tub is of very high spec & you can even play music through Bluetooth. The view outside the cottage was that fantastic we never used the dishwasher but washed up as lovely to look at. We have recommended this cottage to our friend's & would book again when next wanting to explore the area. We even bought the same under sink kitchen bin than the cottage when we returned to our own home to give us more room. We even said after 7 nights we could of easily stayed another 7. This was our home from home. Julie & Dave have got is spot on 10 / 10

The attention to detail throughout was first class. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you would need ( and more) . The living area was cosy and had a smart tv with Netflix and Amazon prime ,and the bedroom was comfortable-with adequate hanging space. The bathroom was large with a walk in shower and a bath. Outside there is a hot tub and table and chairs which we used everyday. Julie and Dave were fantastic hosts and made us feel very welcome. Ellerton is a small village with a pub you can walk to, but they don’t serve food everyday so please check. We drove further afield to St Vincent arms and the White swan which were both enjoyable. As a base to explore the surrounding area Ellerton is perfect and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Very friendly and helpful owners, thank you Julie & Dave the cottage was immaculate. The welcome basket of goodies was lovely too. We loved the hot tub, blissful after busy days walking/shopping. The only thing we found was the bedroom was too warm at night as there is no opening window, we opened bathroom window and left bedroom door open. There would normally be everything you could possibly need, though unfortunately we missed out on robes & towels, maps etc as they couldn't be provided (rules from Sykes) though we did have flip flops and slippers. The pub in the village is lovely and friendly, unfortunately not serving food at the moment. We went to The White swan in nearby village of Bubwith and had 2 lovely meals in there. Overall the cottage is in a very quiet and peaceful village setting so great place to relax and unwind.

The property

Tucked away in the quiet little village of Ellerton, engulfed by luscious green pastures and rambling Yorkshire countryside, is this freshly converted, detached annex in the grounds of the former windmill; a picturesque scene to be admired from the moment you make your way up the gated driveway.

As you step through the double French doors from the enclosed patio you will be immediately delighted by the high quality design laid out in the open-plan living space, with bright and airy colour schemes alluring you into a sense of calm and tranquillity.

Relax and unwind on the sofa with the woodburner ablaze, or step across to the kitchen to find all that you need to cook up a delicious dinner on sleek worktops, with ultra-modern fixtures and fittings.

The dining area rests adjacent, finishing the setup in style.

Just off from here is the luxurious bedroom with plenty of wardrobe space and a contemporary en-suite bathroom, enjoying a chic set of black, white and grey overtones.

This modern formation is simply perfect for couples seeking some quality time together, with the added benefit of the fabulous outdoor hot tub, privately stowed under a luxury wooden gazebo, for added seclusion in a romantic setting.

Here you can also enjoy sitting out during summer months on the garden furniture, with a refreshing beverage in hand, over a spot of alfresco dining.

Perhaps head into the village one afternoon and sample the food at the local pub, as you're passing through on a leisurely stroll.

Or take a trip to the North Yorkshire Coastline which you can reach within the hour.

Also nearby is the Lower Derwent Valley National Nature Reserve comprising a wealth of woodland and wild meadows for walks in the country, while the town of Selby boasts shopping, restaurants and Selby Abbey for exploring.
