The property

Tucked away within a picturesque setting is this delightful semi-detached cottage, nestled within the village of Flamborough, in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

This cottage is an ideal remote retreat for a group of friends and families alike to explore this area of Yorkshire and the wonderful, expansive coastline.

Upon entering this fabulous dwelling, you are greeted to a large open hallway, where you can drop off your coats and boots and step through to the spacious sitting room.

Look forward to sinking into those sofa cushions of an evening while keeping up to date with your favourite shows, with a roaring gas fire, making the delightful cottage just that little bit more cosy.

The open-plan kitchen and dining area is wonderfully-appointed to the rear of the cottage, with a range of on-hand appliances, boasting a charming oak cashmere unit and rustic worktop.

Gather around the dining room table to enjoy a lovely home-cooked meal, or use as a quiet space to read a good book.

On those summer days, take a refreshing beverage out to the rear garden, with a lawn and two decking areas where you can sit while your little ones and dog can run freely in the secure garden.

Off-road parking is available for two cars.

Flamborough has many tourist attractions within reach such as Flamborough Head, stretching across 8 miles, boasting a cliff, lighthouse and a beach, perfect for family day trips.

North Landing beach also offers opportunities for surfing and fishing.

For a taste of history, visit the 14th century church of Flamborough Castle, known for its stone tower.

About the location

Bridlington 4 miles; Filey 7 miles; Scarborough 18 miles.

The pretty village of Flamborough occupies a superb setting, perched on a picturesque peninsula on the East Coast of Yorkshire, 4 miles from Bridlington. Housing traditional fishermen's cottages and a small selection of welcoming pubs and restaurants, Flamborough also has much to offer the rambler, historian and birdwatcher. There are spectacular cliffs, which form an eight mile stretch of Heritage coastline, and at Flamborough Head, stand two historic lighthouses, one of which is the oldest one in Britain, built in 1674. To the north of the village, the magnificent 400 feet high cliffs are home to one of the largest colonies of nesting sea birds in England. Discover the puffins at Bempton, follow the fascinating natural trails at South Landing and the wooded ravine at Danes Dyke, or explore the smugglers’ caves at North Landing. Enjoy a spot of fishing or a boat trip to explore the sea caves. Flamborough Head is a wonderful place for anyone who enjoys beautiful coastal scenery and bracing sea air.
