St Edmunds Church

This was our second visit to St Edmund’s and it was just as lovely this time.

The weather was awful so it was especially great that we were staying in such a special place as we ended up spending a lot more time there than we would have other.

This holiday property is beautiful, it is everything you need and more our stay left us fully relaxed

Wow!

What an amazing little Chapel. It has been sympathetically restored to a high standard and has everything we required for a relaxing break. The host are amazing and even left a little treat for our furbabies. I can't recommend it highly enough and we'll definitely be going back.

! St. Edmunds is a very special place and was perfect for our minimoon !❤️ The attention to detail throughout the property is second to none and communication with Karen was spot on. The renovation has been done to an extremely high spec and sympathetic to its history. the hosts had thought of everything - from remote control candles, rugs for if it got a bit chilly (which it didn’t!), dog bedding (which Rosie preferred to her own bed!) towels & treats to everyday essentials like sauces, teas/coffees & toiletries to biscuits and a bottle of fizz in the fridge!

The only word I could use to describe the property is sensational!

It is so unique and individual. We really enjoyed looking at the all its features, it was an attraction in itself. In terms of facilities within the property, it was high end, everything had been thought of for our comfort and enjoyment. The location is lovely. Surrounded by fields and farmland, in a quiet village, a view from every window. Plenty to do out & about, all a short drive away. The owners were very helpful and attentive. A 10 out of 10 experience.

Truly exceptional property in a beautiful quiet rural location, the church was very well equipped and warm the underfloor heating was lovely.

Sitting outside in the sun watching the horses and rabbits was fabulous. We would highly recommend this property and would definately stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay

Outstanding, the most comfortable, well provisioned and uniquely decorated property I've stayed in over the last eight years or so on Sykes and Airbnb.

The attention to detail and accommodation of every need and tasty welcome back were very much appreciated. It also had a ceiling mounted rainfall shower which was powerful and easily calibrated. Outside was a well groomed garden and seating area with a view over the local countryside including friendly horses. The property was situated in a small village served by a quiet road only a mile or so from one of the best beaches on the East Coast. Very cozy, very warm, extremely comfortable so much so I almost felt reluctant to go out and explore. The owner was in touch to check on everything being okay and responded very quickly to a request for information about eateries. It was worth every penny. I shall be back before the end of the year.

It's a beautiful and unique property that was scrupilously clean, well equipped, and included a lovely little welcome pack for our dog. Communication from Karen was excellent; super clear, friendly, helpful, and responsive. And a glorious beach five minutes down the road with ample, cheap parking is a real treat! All fantastic, no notes, highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay in this fabulous converted church.

It's in a beautiful, peaceful location and was ideal for us to visit RSPB Bempton, have an exciting day watching puffins and gannets and then return to a cosy, welcoming home to relax. The hosts were very welcoming and gave us any extra information we needed. We definitely intend to go back - staying there felt like a real treat!

The church and location are stunning.

The owner has thought of everything inside to make visitors comfortable we did not want to leave. My dog loved the completely secure garden and short walk to the beach.

An absolute delight to stay here.

St Edmunds is perfectly presented and definitely deserves a 'Wow' when you enter. It is one of the most charming properties we have stayed in. Everything is perfect from the quality of the bedding to the kitchen utensils. The delightful garden was a joy to relax in amongst the glorious daffodils over a stunning April week. St Edmunds is a very unique place and it lived up to and exceeded our expectations.

It’s a stunning building and has everything you need for your stay. The beach is close by and there are other beautiful areas to visit for a day out. We even saw the seals lounging on the beach at Flamborough Head. It’s a special place and we’ve booked again for next year.

Very peaceful holiday

Our second stay at St Edmund’s, this property is stunning.

We had a perfect relaxing cosy break sheltering from storm Darragh. The owner kept in touch not that we had any issues.

Lovely welcome pack for both the people and the dog, the host Karen contacted us to make sure we had everything we needed too which was nice. Absolutely stunning church in a peaceful location, great beach nearby and local places to visit in easy reach - can't wait to visit again.

Had the most lovely relaxing stay at St Edmunds, it really does have the wow factor.

The property has been renovated to a very high standard and has everything you need. I was worried staying during the storms in an old building it might be a bit cold, how wrong I was, it is so warm and cosy. Thank you for an amazing break.

Simply outstanding

This place is absolutely beautiful.

The thought and attention to detail that has gone into it! I was worried that it might be cold and spooky but it absolutely isn’t. It’s warm and cosy with a touch of opulence. And what a lovely setting? We enjoyed sitting outside with a glass of wine watching the horses and the birds. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Unique property that has been skilfully renovated.

Very well equipped and comfortable for two. Lovely location but be warned that the walk to the beach down the track is a lot further than it looks on the map.

This is a fantastic getaway, grounds were lovely, inside was amazing and spotless this place has to be seen, the only downside for us was the pillows, which could do with an update.

Location wise It has great walks for your best friend (dog), a walk to the beach only took around 25 mins or 4 mins by car the choice is yours but if walking take care as it’s the only road to the beach and most cars/vans do slow down for you

A lovely, unique "cottage" within walking distance of Fraisthorpe Beach.

Beautifully renovated with a warm and cosy interior and all the amenities you could need for a relaxing break. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for that something different.
