We had a perfect relaxing cosy break sheltering from storm Darragh. The owner kept in touch not that we had any issues.

Lovely welcome pack for both the people and the dog, the host Karen contacted us to make sure we had everything we needed too which was nice. Absolutely stunning church in a peaceful location, great beach nearby and local places to visit in easy reach - can't wait to visit again.

  • "A lovely, unique "cottage" within walking distance of Fraisthorpe Beach."

Beautifully renovated with a warm and cosy interior and all the amenities you could need for a relaxing break. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for that something different.

  • "This is a fantastic getaway, grounds were lovely, inside was amazing and spotless this place has to be seen, the only downside for us was the pillows, which could do with an update."

Location wise It has great walks for your best friend (dog), a walk to the beach only took around 25 mins or 4 mins by car the choice is yours but if walking take care as it’s the only road to the beach and most cars/vans do slow down for you

  • "Unique property that has been skilfully renovated."

Very well equipped and comfortable for two. Lovely location but be warned that the walk to the beach down the track is a lot further than it looks on the map.

  • "This place is absolutely beautiful."

The thought and attention to detail that has gone into it! I was worried that it might be cold and spooky but it absolutely isn’t. It’s warm and cosy with a touch of opulence. And what a lovely setting? We enjoyed sitting outside with a glass of wine watching the horses and the birds. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

  • "Had the most lovely relaxing stay at St Edmunds, it really does have the wow factor."

The property has been renovated to a very high standard and has everything you need. I was worried staying during the storms in an old building it might be a bit cold, how wrong I was, it is so warm and cosy. Thank you for an amazing break.

St Edmunds Church is a sympathetically restored church, now accommodating four guests for a self-catered stay, positioned in Fraisthorpe near Bridlington, a coastal harbour town.

Enjoying a stylish interior, whilst preserving many original features, including the original 13th-century font, alter stone and amazing East window, the home offers the ideal base for a seaside escape for couples sharing or a group celebration.

Benefit from off-road parking and an EV charging point.

Be prepared to be wowed by the open-plan living space, adorning lofty ceilings, stained-glass windows, marble worktops, plush velvet sofas, and a well-equipped kitchen; use this space, dotted with luxury touches, to dine, relax, socialise, and plan your itinerary.

Catch some rest in one of two double bedrooms, both enjoying elevated views over either end of the building, both well-appointed with beamed ceilings and serviced by a sleek shower room (the bedrooms do have sloping ceilings as built in the Church rafters).

Awaken to an itinerary brimming with exploration, with the chance to visit the Bridlington North Beach & Promenade, Danes Dyke Beach, and the stunning Flamborough Headland Heritage Coast for coastal walks and the best vantage point.

Stop off for a bite to eat in the local area, at The Cow Shed Café down on the local beach, Salt on the Harbour, or grab some delicious fish and chips and stroll along the beach, before travelling towards Filey, its beach, golf club and museum, offering something for everyone.

Scarborough, Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay are keen areas of interest to explore, brimming with history and attractions, including Scarborough Castle, Cleveland Way, the ideal hiking area, and the manicured grounds of Peasholm Park, before heading for Dalby Forest, a gateway into the North York Moors National Park, or head inland towards the historic town of Beverley and city of York.

Enjoy a unique base by booking St Edmunds Church.
