This delightful, detached stone cottage is centrally situated in the small village of Fylingthorpe, just a 15 minute walk from the historic fishing village of Robin Hood's Bay.

Deceptively spacious, the property is perfectly placed for exploring the spectacular scenery of the North York Moors National Park and the dramatic coastline of this beautiful area.

Inside, a small entry porch leads to the comfortable sitting room, complete with a cosy open fire to toast your toes by on cooler evenings!

Retaining much character, with beamed ceilings, stripped pine doors and feature fireplaces, there is a large separate dining room with a small study area, plus a modern kitchen with an exposed stone wall and a small breakfast bar.

Upstairs, both bedrooms offer plenty of space and the double enjoys the luxury of an en-suite freestanding bath, whilst the family room has pleasant views over the countryside.

The village itself has excellent facilities, including a shop with an on-site butcher, baker and superb take-away, as well as a general store and a friendly inn serving food.

From the village, an easy walk over the fields brings you to the ancient fishing village of Robin Hood's Bay, with its steep, winding cobbled streets lined with quaint cottages tumbling down towards the sea.

Situated between Scarborough and Whitby, this charming old fishing village is to be found nestling at the edge of a wide sweeping bay backed by spectacular cliffs and dramatic moorland scenery, and was once home to author Leo Walmsley. All holidaymakers will love the beach and its cliff-top walks, whilst more serious walkers will enjoy the many long distance trails that pass through the Cleveland Way, the Lyke Wake Walk and the Coast to Coast walks which all take in Robin Hood’s Bay.
