Lovely cottage with everything provided that you could possibly need.

Only slight bit of feedback is that instructions for the cooker and microwave would have been useful.Gardens well maintained and ideal for dogs. Owner Cath is a very pleasant lady and made us welcome. Altogether a very enjoyable stay.

We had a wonderful week at Blakey.

The views from the property were amazing and it was great to have so much space for the dog to explore. The cottage itself was extremely comfortable and had everything we could possibly need. The welcome from Carol was lovely and she offered lots of different ideas for places to visit as we were new to the area. The cottage is so convenient for a range of seaside villages and towns as well as easy access to the moors Local pub very good value for food.

Our second stay there and just as good as the first.

Has everything you need for a comfortable stay and very convenient for sightseeing visits to well known attractions without travelling miles. Park and Ride a few miles down the road very good for going into Whitby

A lovely, comfortable modern cottage with adequate space and facilities for 2 people. The owners couldn't have been more lovely, from the warm welcome, to a fond farewell (and plenty of chats in between). Fantastic location for exploring the NYorks Moors and Coast, peaceful, yet not too far off the beaten track. We will definitely be returning. Thank you Carol & Chuck x

This is a wonderful place, with gracious and attentive hosts.

From the warm welcome, through the occasional check ins to check all was well, through to a final, fond farewell, a perfect balance of attentiveness and privacy was maintained throughout our stay. On top of that the location is fantastic - both in terms of the cottage and the local area, and we frankly had a wonderful, relaxing and highly enjoyable time. Would that all holiday cottages be run by such deeply lovely people as this one! Thank you so much for making our stay so memorable and delightful.

Great place to stay as a centre for exploring North Yorkshire and County Durham.

Location is spot on, very peaceful, nice that they have Blakey, that is set aside for dogs to stay, secure to let them run around on the grassy areas or for walks along the quiet lanes. Lovely welcome and gifts on arrival.

The cottage was lovely and scrupulously clean.

Beautiful location with lovely hosts. The Barn Owl and Kestrel were a real bonus. We enjoyed seeing a new area and will definitely be back.

A cosy, comfortable cottage in a position convenient for coast and North York Moors.

Friendly owners, very peaceful setting and even though set way back from the main road, was easy to find with no rough tracks to drive down. Would certainly stay again if visiting that part of the world. Would recommend

Everything about it was A*. It was spotlessly clean, had absolutely everything we needed and the owners could not do enough for us. They were friendly and welcoming and left us a beautiful welcome pack for when we arrived. The views were amazing, ample parking and very dog friendly. I would recommend this property 100%.

A very clean and well equipped cottage with all the necessities. The cottage is in a quiet secluded location and ideally placed for travel to either onto the NY moors or Saltburn, Whitby and Staithes. Thoroughly enjoyable relaxing stay.

A fantastic get away.

Beautiful views and lovely owners We hope to return again. Lovely places to visit. Cottage set in an ideal location for getting out and about.

Blakey Cottage is immaculate throughout and the owners are helpful and friendly.

Set in beautiful countryside with the possibility of walking, driving to the many surrounding resorts or relaxing on the patio. A very welcome pack was provided of milk tea etc, even wine and chocolates. We would certainly recommend a holiday at Osbourne Farm Cottages and Sykes .co.uk was efficient with bookings and helpful information M and P Brooke Nottingham

Carol the owner was welcoming, helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

Furniture and fittings were all of excellent quality. We were impressed with the cleanliness and trouble taken to ensure our safety and comfort during our visit at the time of the covid crisis. We would certainly return to a real home from home.

Also a very appreciative welcome pack. Everything was absolutely spotless, lovely quiet location but still very convenient for Staithes, Runswick Bay, Robin Hoods Bay and Whitby.

Cottage was perfect for us and the dogs , being able to let the dog straight out into the grass and fields was great and makes the stay more enjoyable.

The views from the cottage are lovely and it was peaceful, great to get away and relax but location was good for getting to all local areas . Owners were lovely and made us feel welcome at all times . Lovely welcome pack included which was great as we didn’t have chance to pick up the basics before arriving. Cottage has been renovated to a very high standard and was very comfortable, we would definitely recommend and will be back soon . Thank you

Lovely cottage.

Very warm welcome. Brilliant for the dog with open field on the doorstep - perfect for morning toilet trips (for the dog!). Nicely isolated and quiet but near to A171 so easy access.

A Quiet location yet within easy reach of Guisborough (9m) and Whitby (12) for supplies.

The natural water supply is drinkable as Carol (owner) said it'd been checked by the local authority, although it's a bit on the hard side. The little gifts were much appreciated - bottle of wine and milk in the fridge. We returned home refreshed.

The owners made us feel very welcome.

Plenty of fields for our little dog to run free. The weather good. The cottage central for lots of places to visit.

Lots of room for the two of us and our small dog. Plenty of space for her to run in the owners fields adjacent to the property. Very friendly owners who went the extra mile to make us welcome. Bed was super-comfy and the shower was powerful enough (we hate showers that are no more than a dribble)! Very peaceful and quiet and highly recommended. Off the beaten track but not too far!

This cottage was one of three.

Blakey cottage was on the one that permitted you to have your dog with you. It was living , dining kitchen was spacious for 2 people and pet. The bedroom and on suite were very clean and fresh, The owner Carol met us a was very friendly and made sure we had everything we need, Although isolated, you were within 10 mile radius a places to go, especially the coast. We would recommend these properties if you want to just get away and enjoy the peace and quiet. No WiFi but reasonable mobile phone connectivity. We will go again - probably when the weather is a bit better.

Excellent accomdation and location

As a dog owner its difficult finding good quality accommodation that is dog friendly; the location and the opportunity to use several fenced in fields for dog walking was a great surprise when we arrived.

The accommodation cannot be faulted with everything that you need and in great order. The owners were equally friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this property
