The cottage is in a quiet & lovely location, comfortable & very clean.We were made very welcome Carol.Return visit a must!

The cottage was in a perfect location and was immaculate.

The owner gave us a warm welcome shortly after arriving and explained the TV and heating, and was genuinely a lovely lady. So many repeat visitors in the visitor book and I can totally understand why as we would definitely return.

We had a lovely stay in a beautiful cottage we will not hesitate to recommend

A lovely peaceful quiet setting.

The cottage was really well appointed and spotlessly clean. The host was very friendly and welcoming, would definitely stay again, can't fault anything.

Off the beaten track but quiet and welcoming. Nice quiet holiday and good weather. Host is fab. Three holiday cottages ours was the 1 bed. Close to whitby saltburn goathland and some lovely villages Would recommend.

Delightful cottage that had all the facilities required for a 2 week stay and the owners are super friendly and helpful.

The only way I'd potentially choose a different place for my next visit to the area is if it's closer to where I want to be, otherwise it'll be this one again.

The cottage is in a superb location, was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The location is perfect for exploring the North York Moors. We had a lovely week despite changeable weather and would thoroughly recommend this as a perfect place to stay.

Would be pleased to return as accommodation is well presented, in a great location, managed by friendly and helpful owners.

Wonderful cottage, excellently furnished, cosy and clean.

They take such pride in the property, Carol checked in to make sure we were comfortable, and shared lots of information about the area, I really enjoyed walking from the cottage up and over the moor. It isn’t too far off the main road, but so peaceful when sitting outside enjoying the views. We had an excellent week and definitely recommend the place.

It's a really nice cottage and very clean. It's in a good position for visiting lots of places. Carol who owns the property is a very nice lady and keeps it very nice up there . We would definitely go back

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Freeborough, the property is excellent in every way, Value, Situation, Quality, Cleanliness, Facilities, Tranquility were first class only to be reinforced by the friendliest and efficient of hosts this all led us to having one of the best country breaks we have ever experienced we would certainly recommend and will definitely return there is so much to do in this it is not possible to see everything in one week

The property was excellent everything was great we were very comfortable there it was like being home.

We were out in the country but had sea views it was lovely and the owners couldn’t do enough for us lovely people. Hopefully we will go again in the future.

Wow what a lovely location, Freeborough was clean comfortable and well equipped, the welcome pack of tea,coffee,milk ,wine and chocolates was much appreciated, owners were very accommodating and on hand if needed.

We were lucky to have a nightly visit from the resident owl and various other birds. We will definitely be making a return visit in the near future.

Our week stay at Freeborough was amazing and peaceful.

Carol greeted us almost immediately which was lovely, showed us where everything was and how the heating worked, wonderful host. Carol checked in with us a couple of times during the week to check all was ok which was lovely. The added bonus was the washing machine …we travel light! The views from our cottage were stunning, we sat outside most mornings and evening. We enjoyed sitting outside watching the wildlife. Freeborough was a lovely, comfy, clean Yorkshire home for our week adventuring on our motorbikes. We would recommend Freeborough to our friends and stay there again.

the cottage was very clean and everything you needed was available.

Carole was very polite and show us around on arrival as we were a little late due to traffic. also i should say the views were mind blowing fantastic.

A lovely little place in a very rural setting with lots to explore nearby.

It's very peaceful being just off a lane that actually finishes a couple of hundred yards further down, so very little traffic at all. The owners are so helpful and friendly Carole was lovely and made a real effort to ensure we had an enjoyable break. The cottage itself was very clean and equipped to a good standard. It had lovely views across undulating farmland and distant moors, we even had a deer in an adjacent field one morning. There is plenty of parking space right outside the cottage.

) Everything you would want/need. Comfortable and spotlessly clean. Carol was an excellent and very helpful host.

We had a short break for 3 nights at Freeborough Cottage & wished we could have stayed longer.

We received a warm welcome from Carol the owner & some welcome treats which was a lovely touch. Carol is really friendly & also gave advice about local places to eat & visit but there are also leaflets & information about tourist attractions within the cottage too. The cottage has amazing views of the surrounding moors with a partial sea view & is in a great central location for days out to Whitby, Runswick Bay, Staithes, Saltburn & Robin Hood’s Bay. There are local villages & places to see nearby. The cottage itself was immaculate, everything that you need for a self-catering break & the grounds are kept very well also. As nature lovers we enjoyed the added bonus of a barn owl flying round the cottages & countryside each evening. We will definitely be coming back to stay again.

Needing accessible accommodation this was ideal.

Could not fault it. Welcomed by the owners who went over and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Would recommend it. In a lovely location quiet and relaxing yet close by to enjoy the coast and moors.

Everything we needed for the week was thought of and lovely extras too. So comfortable and spotlessly clean, we really made ourselves at home. Easy drive to all local attractions and plenty of supermarkets ten minutes away. A very relaxing week and would highly recommend.

Wonderful location - coast and moors on your doorstep.

Hosts are on hand with helpful, local information. Accommodation is clean, bright and spacious. Real attention to detail on everything inside and outside. Really pleased to have found such a gem.

i have put met expectations as we have stayed here before.

on the first visit it did indeed exceed expectations so on this visit we were sure it would meet our expectations and we were not let down the owners are brilliant and anything youwant from directions to almost everthing you are accomodated. brilliant location brilliant stay.

Great location as ideally situated for visiting both the coast and inland.

Beautiful views all around and very peaceful. Owners are most welcoming. No wifi which is a pity but mobile reception is good. Would definitely recommend Freeborough.

Brilliant building conversion for Holidays, just what we wanted.

On arrival, we were met, shown around and the house was spotless. Very peaceful place with beautiful views, off street parking, easy access to local amenities and days out to Whitby, York etc ! The owners could n't have been more pleasant and helpful and are on site, near-by. Would definitely go there again, very relaxing and hassle free. Would recommend with 11 out of 10 if that was possible. Chris and Shirley Ward

I recently stayed here for two nights whilst attending a nearby wedding with my partner and new born baby.

We were pleasantly surprised by the standard of accommodation, friendliness of the owners, the cleanliness. Everything combined made the our first stay with from home with the baby very easy. We were left nice fluffy towels, hot drink essentials including milk and a bottle of wine. All really nice touches. I would highly recommend staying here and will look to rebook when visiting the area.
