The house is really comfortable and the view amazing!

Robert and Glenda were excellent hosts,friendly and helpful, but not interfering. The area is well worth a visit. Lots of things to see and do on both coast and moors. A dishwasher would have been nice as there was plenty of space to accommodate one.

We had another great stay at Greencroft, we love it here so much and will be returning again.

The views are fantastic.

The wildlife was a bonus. But star of the stay was the cottage. It was lovely and comfortable, cosy with everything you could need. It's the perfect location to enjoy the Yorkshire coast the come back and relax in the quiet countryside. We are definitely coming back and recommending Greencroft to family and friends. This is a great property in a fantastic location, there is even a sea view at the front.

Plenty of easy parking. Unfortunately, the upstairs was very dusty, with evidence of previous guests (eg hair, used tissues in drawer) which was such a shame as downstairs was fine. Compared to other Sykes properties we've stayed in, the kitchen is not so well equipped. There were some maintenance issues, which we mentioned to the owner. Spacious seating area downstairs with very comfortable sofas to relax on. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Greencroft and would book again.

Absolutely lovely peaceful place, great base for the beautiful coastline.

Added bonus for us was the third bedroom and ample off road parking

Greencroft is a great place to stay very comfortable and near to Saltburn-By-The-Sea.

The house is comfortably furnished and well equipped with everything you need. We had a lovely few days exploring an interesting part of Yorkshire we hadn't visited before but will certainly visit again!

Another perfect stay at Greencroft, 5 stars for everything

We really enjoyed our stay at Greencroft view aside from a couple of aspects.

The house was comfortable and a good size for up to 4 people (there were only 3 of us though) with plenty of space for parking and in a beautiful location. The views from the front of the house are of rolling fields and out to the sea at Salburn and then to the rear more fields full of bunnies and horses which was a lovley thing to wake up to each morning. The area is gery quiet and we found the house a peaceful and comfortable retreat to come back to after a day of exploring. We found the hosts pleasant to chat to in the few interactions we had with them. There were a couple of things that we felt could be improved and would really make this 5 star accommodation (and are the only reason we can't give the full 5 stars). The biggest thing is the cleanliness, the place is in desperate need of a deep clean. There was food remnants from the previous guests on the floor and sofas downstairs, the kitchen counters were greasy, rubbish under the beds and the bedrooms were very dusty. There were a few maintenance issues also with cupboard doors being faulty and trim fallen off in the kitchen, which could do with attention. In the kitchen there are only very minimal glasses and crockery provided which we feel could be increased a little, namely tumbler glasses which there were only 2 (a bit of an issue when there were 3 of us) and only one plastic cup. Finally the bedrooms would benefit from some additional clothes storage such as a chest of drawers - there is definitely room for some in the 2 larger rooms and the smaller room really is only suitable for 1 child due to its tiny size. Overall and despite the things mentioned above we enjoyed our stay and would return if holidaying in the area again but would hope that the issues mentioned above are addressed to really make this a perfect home from home. We would still recommend to friends and family but would mention the issues to be mindful of.

I think the only negative we have were local amenities.

The shops were basic and no eating establishments in walking distance. Other than that the property and location were lovely.

The property was clean, well situated and as described. Even the weather didn't damp our spirits and we still managed to get out and about!

A lovely house in a peaceful location with great views of the sea.

Everything was very clean and comfortable and generally well equipped. We appreciated the speed at which a problem with the cooker was sorted out. The sitting out area at the back of the house is a real suntrap. Robert and Glenda are excellent hosts who are friendly and sociable. Their local knowledge was very helpful especially about the beautiful beach at Skinningrove. We had a really enjoyable week and would recommend this property.

We have just returned after having such a wonderful stay at the beautiful Greencroft.

Glenda and Robert are so friendly and the best hosts, they are super helpful and they think about every last detail. The property is super clean and just stunningly decorated with lots of home comforts. It is in an ideal location and the views from front and back of the property are beautiful and I miss them already. I cannot rate this highly enough, we will most definitely be returning. Thank you Glenda and Robert for our stay in your beautiful property, we miss it already.

The living space is big and spacious, and the bedrooms are big and airy. The scenery and views around are stunning

This holiday let was absolutely perfect, spotlessly clean, comfortable and all the amenities that you need to be able to self cater, the spacious open plan downstairs was a plus with great views to the front and fields at the back.

The garden is a really well maintained and great to sit out and enjoy the peace and quiet. The location was brilliant for us as we were in easy reach of the all the coastal places we wanted to visit, the owners are super and and provided us with lots of great recommendations, the essentials in the kitchen were unexpected and a really nice touch, especially the sweet treat, we loved staying here and will definitely be back in the future, thanks so much for helping to make a perfect holiday for us

We have just had a lovely week staying at the property of Robert and Glenda, the property is beautiful, all needs catered for, we wanted for nothing.

I recently had the pleasure of spending a week in a rental house near Saltburn-by-the-Sea, and I must say it was an incredible experience.

From the moment I arrived, the couple who owns the house welcomed me and made me feel right at home. The first thing that struck me about the house was its cosy and inviting atmosphere. It was evident that a lot of thought and care had been put into creating a space that exudes warmth and comfort. The rooms were tastefully decorated, the abundance of natural light and its views gave it an overall charm. One of the highlights of this rental house was its peacefulness. Located in a tranquil countryside, it provided the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Additionally, the house's proximity to amenities was a major plus. Everything I needed was within easy reach, from grocery stores and restaurants to local attractions and the beach. It allowed me to make the most of my time without having to travel long distances. Throughout my stay, the couple who owned the house were incredibly accommodating and attentive. They were always available to answer any questions I had and provided valuable recommendations for things to see and do in the area.
