NAFFERTON

Driffield 2 miles; Bridlington 9 miles; York 29 miles.

The village of Nafferton is conveniently situated in the pretty countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds, yet only 2 miles from the market town of Driffield and 9 miles from the seaside resort of Bridlington. A large village, with mainly traditional dwellings that cluster around the mere and village greens, it is served by three country pubs, a village shop, a post office and a fish and chip shop. The railway station there is only 2 minutes walk away and extremely useful; only one stop to Bridlington and four to Scarborough! This is a lovely area for gentle walking, exploring the countryside and visiting stately homes and gardens such as Sledmere House and Burton Agnes Hall. A short ride takes you to the popular east coast seaside resorts with their long sandy beaches, whilst the historical City of York, with its famous minster, is well worth a visit.
