“This is a beautiful place to stay, with all windows showing countryside/garden views.”

Furbished to a very high standard - the bed and pillows were the most comfortable I've ever experienced while away from home, and the bath is great to relax in, looking at the trees outside. Chris and Alison are very lovely and helpful, with the wine and milk in the fridge a lovely touch.

We had amazing meals at both the New Inn Cantonese and the Mended Drum, would very much recommend.

Relax on one of the two grey sofas while your toes can enjoy the softness of the plush rug and watch a film on the Smart TV while the evening light from the floor-length windows begins to fade.

Perch at the breakfast bar and keep the chef company as a delicious dish is prepared in the sleek kitchen, with charcoal painted oak cupboards and bright contrasting quartz worktops holding all the appliances you need enhance your stay, all beneath an incredible, bespoke lighting feature made from a locally sourced silver birch branch.

Sit around the dining table with a view of the garden behind you and tuck into a tasty meal, and on fresh mornings you can enjoy breakfast here with the doors wide open to bring in the country breeze.

Drift off in one of the two delightful bedrooms both with views of the open countryside.

The first with a king-size bed boasting muted grey matching furnishings, as well as an en-suite shower room.
