  • "This house is like a tardis!"

It just keeps giving and giving when you walk through the door. Down stairs every bedroom has its own toilet and sink which was fantastic. The number of sitting areas is great and they are all comfy and welcoming. Plenty of bathrooms to share. Beds all really comfy and warm. The kitchen is very well equipt, everything we needed with a dining area with plenty of space. Plenty of parking and a lovely big garden for the kids to play in. With a hot tub which was an added bonus. We all loved it and the kids were sad to leave. We'd love to come again.

  • "I booked this as a 40th birthday weekend for my partner and our friends and family, aged between 23-64."

My guests and I absolutely loved the house! The whole experience was perfect from start to finish. Julie, the property manager, was so lovely and accommodating with my (many!) questions and her communication was top notch. The garden is massive, the house is massive, the cashmere topped beds are amazingly comfy, the towels, ornaments and soft furnishings were mainly from Dunelm (so decent quality) and the kitchen literally has everything you need and more besides! 2 cookers, 2 fridges, 2 kettles, 2 teapots, 2 toasters, 2 dishwashers plus absolutely loads of crockery, cutlery, pots and pans etc etc The hot tub was amazing, the outdoor games room was fun and the various separate lounges were great for time alone if needed. Just everything was spot on! We loved it so much that we aim to be back annually at either this or another of Julie's managed properties. Thank you for an excellent stay!

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review ...it's much appreciated. We really try and make all of our holiday lets feel 'home from home' so I'm delighted that you had everything you needed especially when celebrating such a special occasion. We'd love to welcome you back again .... Kindest Regards Julie Property Owner

  • "Based on the price point we paid we would highly recommend this property, it is spacious with plenty of bathrooms, there are lots of separate sitting areas if you want some privacy."

The garden was large and we really enjoyed playing games in the garden and eating outside. The house is close to local attractions if you have a car, there is a coop mini supermarket less than 5 min walk away. Things to improve, the bedrooms could do with numbering downstairs, hooks for towels on the back of bedroom doors would be very helpful. Some of the bathroom doors didn't lock or were very stiff. All the toilets seemed to have issues with low power flushing. However this house has to be one our favourite stays and we would highly recommend, lots of space, warm and cosy, and lovely hot tub!

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave us a review. It sound like you had a great time at Hazelgarth and especially enjoyed your time in the garden and of course the hot tub!. You'll be pleased to hear that since your stay we have fitted hooks to the bedroom doors. We wouldn't want to number the rooms as this gives a hotel feel and that's not what we for our guests. It's a home-from-home holiday lets for multi generational family's. I'll ask maintenance to check the doors as this isn't something that's been mention before so thanks for mentioning. We'd love to welcome you back. Kindest Regards Julie Property Owner

Dining room fit us all in comfortably - if needed a big house again would deffo return! Kids want to go back already

Thank you so much for the 100/100 amazing review! I am delighted that you had such a brilliant time. Hazelgarth House is the perfect get away for multi-generational families and we'd love to see you back again! Best Wishes Julie Property Owner

  • "Great location, fantastic house, very clean."

Fully equipped kitchen . Would recommend for a large group of people getting together, plenty of bedrooms, toilets and washrooms. Great size rear garden, would recommend a gate or fence either side of the house to stop pets and children escaping. 5 star from us

Thanks so much for the 100/100 review! It's great to hear that our guests have had such an amazing time at Hazelgarth House. We try and think of everything to give you that 'home-for-home' experience so to hear that you had all you needed makes us very happy. We'd love to welcome you back. Best Wishes Julie Property Owner

There was a total of 27 for us and there's enough room for us all to be together or if needed to go off and have some quiet time. Each room downstairs has its own toilet which is fantastic. Rooms very clean and comfortable lots to do - just all round fantastic house very happy with the stay! Thank you :)

  • "Such a great layout."

We couldn’t find anywhere with space for us all to eat together so the kitchen and dining area was amazing. The kitchen equipment was brilliant with everything you could need for 20+ people. We loved the fact that almost every bedroom had its own sink and toilet and there were so many little rooms to go and seek quiet time if needed (we had teens revising for GCSEs and A levels). We had sports day type events in the garden as it was so big. Loved it.

Thank you so much for leaving such a positive review. It's lovely to hear that guests have had a great time when staying at our properties. Hazelgarth really is a special property and how lovely for all 28 guests to be able to sit at the 2 beautiful solid oak tables and enjoy meals together. We pride ourselves in making your holiday feel like 'home-from-home' and work hard to make sure our guests have everything they need. Hope the exams go well... Kindest Regards Julie Property Owner

  • "This house is absolutely gorgeous."

We booked this for a family holiday, there we're 24 of us aged from 7months to 82 years old and 2 dogs. The accommodation was perfect for us all everywhere was spotless. Plenty for everyone to do and sit. The big dining tables we're great so we could all sit together. Games room for the kids. We did have one issue with a leaking shower upstairs which was reported and fixed same day. The only fault we found was no TVs in bedrooms as the elderly ones in party like to have a lie down in the afternoon and watch TV in bedroom but other than that was absolutely perfect. All communication from booking to leaving was brilliant and Julie is so easy to deal with. Would recommend this home to everyone and reasonably priced for the size of it with amenities and location. Would certainly book again.

Thank you so much for leaving a wonderful 100/100 review. It's lovely to hear that guests have had a great time when staying at our properties. Its so important to us that we accommodate for guests of all ages to ranging from 7 months to 82 years old sounds like we've got it spot on. We pride ourselves in making your holiday feel like 'home-from-home' and work hard to make sure our guests have everything they need. I do understand what you mean about the TV's but we feel this would make the property feel like a hotel room rather than a multi-generational holiday home. We would love to welcome you back again. Everything we wanted!

Wow.... another 100/100 review. This makes us really proud of all the hard work that went into renovating Hazelgarth House. A lot of time and effort was spent to make sure we got the lay out perfect so that families can all be together or if anyone wanted a little quiet time... there are other rooms where you can relax. The kids love the 1st floor breakout room with the Play Station and the amazing kitchen makes preparing and cooking meals a pleasure. I'm so pleased you had a wonderful time. House is in a great location in Hunmanby & perfectly placed for exploring the East Coast. Honestly couldn't recommend enough.

  • "Very basic interior with shoddy parts of the house and patched up bathrooms."

Everything we touched fell to peices and then they had the cheek to try and charge us. Warning keep away from this property unless you want to go through the same hell that we did!

To all future guests reading this review – Hazelgarth House was refurbished in July 2023. As you will see from previous guests – this review is simply not accurate. These guests committed damage to shower screens, blinds and had bonfires ON TOP of our brand new, luxury picnic benches! Yes, we charged them for the damage caused, and at no point during their stay, were any maintenance issues raised, likely because they were causing the damage. Happy to report we fixed everything they broke within a few days and have already had some lovely guests enjoying the property in all it's glory. Thanks for reading, Julie Property Owner

Couldn't use hot tub as there had been a power cut and it tripped out, owners are going to add to info book on what to do if this happens. All the parking spaces were also brilliant. All in all an excellent property for all ages.

Wow .... another 100/100 ... thank you so much. I'm delighted that you and all the family had a great weekend at Hazelgarth House, it's the perfect place for multi-generational families to get together with plenty of space for all.
