This accommodation is just about as good as it gets and everything you could possibly wish for.

Highly recommended as owners have obviously gone the extra mile to make for a very comfortable stay.

Beth’s Cottage was clean, furnished to a high standard & had everything we needed for 3-generation family holiday. Glenn is an attentive host & made sure we had everything we needed.

Great power in the shower. Stunning lounge and kitchen area and great area to walk the dogs. Really didn’t want to leave!

Two of us with two labradors had an excellent four nights at Beth's cottage.

Everything that we needed was on hand and we all settled in quickly. The owners have done a fantastic job with the renovation and interior design. We were there during the heat wave in June 26 but no issues at all. A great base for exploring the N.Yorks moors and coastline.

A nicely located cottage just off the A64 and within easy reach of Scarborough, Filey, Malton, Pickering and Flamingo Land etc.

Ally and Glen were great hosts, there if needed and to check all was ok. Comfortable, well presented accommodation and plenty of space for our two German Shepherds to run. There was some noise from the building works next door, but TBH we weren't overly bothered for the short time before we went out and it was finished before we got back. I know Glen has tried with the owners, but they seem less than helpful. Noise wasn't work marking the place down. Lovely stay and plenty of places to visit. Thanks Reg&Sue

Would have given 6 stars if I could.

The cottage was amazing, spotlessly clean. We were welcomed by Glenn and nothing was too much trouble for him the whole time we were there. We visted the Ryedale Folk museum, the Eden Camp, the Bird of Prey Sanctuary and Whitby and Scarborough. Recognised the Ham and Cheese Hotel, meals are delicious and huge, Sally Middlewood farm bakery and tea rooms and the Farmhouse Bakery and coffee shop. Will certainly be back.

What a beautiful cottage with beautiful furnishings.

It was immaculate, the facilities were first class with Smart tv and Alexa and it was exceptionally clean. The kitchen was also very well equipped. Luxury bedding and I must commend the person who dressed the really comfy beds for their perfect “hospital corners!” Glenn kept in contact to ask if all was ok and if we needed anything. The welcome pack was much appreciated and the eggs from their own hens were a wonderful golden colour. He also mentioned a food and music festival that was taking place in Malton over the weekend. All members of the party said that they would not hesitate to recommend the property and also return as it is one of the best holiday accommodations we had all stayed in.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Beth’s Cottage – without doubt one of the nicest cottages we’ve ever stayed in.

From the moment we arrived, it felt welcoming, calm and immaculately clean, with soft music playing and a real sense of quality and care throughout. The main living area is simply stunning: light, spacious and perfect for relaxing together. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, with high‑quality appliances and everything you could possibly need, and the furnishings and fittings throughout the cottage are clearly chosen with comfort and style in mind. The bedrooms are cosy and well thought out, with lovely bedding and very comfortable beds. The towels are excellent quality too, although if I’m being incredibly picky, bath sheets rather than standard bath towels would be even better – that really is nit‑picking, though, as everything else is wonderful. Glen, the owner, is a genuinely welcoming and friendly person. Communication was excellent. For dog owners, the setting is brilliant. There’s a great big open field where dogs can have a proper run and burn off energy, which was a huge plus for us. The rear patio area is securely fenced and felt very safe, as the fence is nice and high so dogs can’t jump over. It’s worth being mindful that at the front of Beth’s Cottage the fencing is lower, so a larger or more adventurous dog could potentially jump out. The other two cottages don’t connect front to back, so it’s only something to be aware of if letting dogs out of the front. A tall gate separating the front and back areas for Beth’s Cottage would make it absolutely perfect. The location is peaceful and beautiful, yet ideal for exploring. We enjoyed trips to Malton, Bridlington and Hornsea all within easy driving distance, making it a great base for coast and countryside alike. Overall, Beth’s Cottage is exceptional: stylish, comfortable, beautifully equipped and clearly well loved by its owners. We will definitely be back and would urge anyone thinking of trying these cottages to go for it – you won’t be disappointed.

Stunning holiday accommodation!

We loved our stay in Beth's cottage. We were impressed by the gorgeous carpentry throughout and attention to detail. The cottage was very clean, well laid out and had everything we needed.

Beth’s cottage was the most gorgeous place to stay!

The main living area was simply stunning. It was the perfect place for our family to spend time together. The kitchen area had everything that we could possibly need, it was very well equipped. The bedrooms were so comfortable and well thought out with plenty of hanging space and shelving for clothes. The area was perfect for having a trip to the coast with Scarborough and Filey only a short drive away. We really did have the perfect weekend away!

We will definitely be back again. A fantastic cottage in a brilliant location. Prior to our arrival, Glenn checked in with me to see if we required a highchair and cot bed which we didn’t require in the end and took our own through choice. Upon arrival, the cottage was simply stunning; very clean, smelled delicious and had a homely feel to it, with calm music on the TV for added effect ( nice little touch). The facilities in the cottage were great and the beds were really comfy and as a result, we all slept brilliantly. I asked Glenn if he could adjust the heating on two separate occasions and this was sorted immediately. Nothing was ever too much trouble and he was prompt with replying and very accommodating. Thank you for such a fantastic stay, we’ll be back!

Stunning cottage!

On arrival we were met with the most beautiful Christmas tree, one of the best welcome packs and soft music playing through the tv. The cottage is well equipped, fabulous living area and comfortable beds, the only addition I would suggest is a long mirror in the bedroom but that’s just a very minor thing. Glenn the owner was super friendly, he had messaged before we arrived to advise us to let him know if we needed anything, which was a nice personal touch and something you don’t always get from owners these days. Malton is a lovely market town to visit, it is a short drive away with plenty of places to eat and lots of independent shops to browse. We had a truly lovely time at Beth’s cottage and would thoroughly recommend a stay there.

I always look at reviews before booking and the ones for this place are absolutely spot on.

What a stunning cottage, the open plan living area is great, we were a family of 4 (two kids 10 & 3) and it was perfect for us. Kitchen equipped with everything you might need. Bedrooms cosy and comfy. Easy to find and set in beautiful surroundings (loved the chickens coming to say Hi in the morning). Great base for exploring, we went to Scarborough, York and a few places like Eden Camp/ Filey Animal Park. Would 100% recommend and we’ll be back.

We had a lovely holiday in Beths Cottage.

As we walked in, the lovely soothing music and spotless decor was very pleasing. Definitely one of the best Sykes holiday cottages we have been in. Great area to walk our dog. The owners were so friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this outstanding cottage.

It was well equipped with everything you could need, the only item we thought was missing for us was a non slip mat for inside the shower. Beth’s cottage has been beautifully converted and is probably the best we’ve stayed in.

The decor is lovely and little touches like the ornaments to dress the property really sets it apart from others. The welcome pack was a nice touch and Glenn and Ally were very receptive when asked for anything. The only thing we would suggest would be to have some blinds/curtains across the bifold doors, simply because it would have felt more homely at night and prevented our dog from thinking it was time to get up at sunrise

Lovely holiday property great location very peaceful.

Would definitely recommend and would love to return in the future. It would benefit from plants pots or hanging baskets etc to make the back yard more homely also a hot tub would be excellent. But that’s just a suggestion and doesn’t detract from this great place.

If we could give 6* we would, this is the most beautiful, comfortable cottage, the owners have put so much thought into everything to make this the perfect holiday location.

The welcome basket is a lovely touch and the fresh eggs were so good. Everything is such high quality, fantastic kitchen for those that like to cook (even when on holiday),, yes there is a corkscrew and even a pastry brush which I needed after making sausage rolls,, hubby fell asleep every night on the sofa they are so comfortable, luxury bedding and towels, absolutely loved the showers, smart TV and for a bit of music just ask Alexa. We are already booked for next year and cannot wait to return. Thank you for such a wonderful time away..

It’s very difficult to actuate my experience in words alone.

The accommodation, location, atmosphere and provider experience was absolutely ‘second to none’, it was beyond ‘perfect’. Every one of our needs and expectations were surpassed. The bespoke property design, excellent high quality of facilities and amenities and the idyllic rural setting delivered total undisturbed peace and tranquility and 100% satisfaction. Without doubt we will rebook in 2026, something we have never considered previously, collectively we believe our total experience could not be matched or surpassed! Thank you

The property was clean and comfortable and supplied everything for our needs.

The goodies were very welcome too. It was good to have somewhere to walk the dogs in the morning too.

A lovely comfortable barn conversion, quiet location, everything you need for your stay, comfy beds, good en-suite, ideally located just off the A64 for getting out and about to surrounding places of interest and the coast, met the owner on arrival very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable about the area.

What a fantastic gem of a cottage.

This was unanimously agreed as the best cottage any of us had rented. The cottage had everything that you could wish for; great facilities, even an Alexa, spotlessly clean, first class showers with plenty of hot water, comfy beds. Plenty of space of the dogs to relax and the peace and quite, not to mention the view of the stars. Within easy reach of everything we wanted to see, the only disappointment was that we had only booked one week but we will rectify that next year.

Really beautifully furnished and decorated. Lovely stay with a friend for a few days and a great base from which to explore. Owners left some great recommendations for local eateries and also left a welcome basket of goodies which was enjoyed. Would definitely recommend and I might even treat my husband next time.

Beth's cottage was immaculate.

It was everything it advertised and dog friendly. Set in lovely peaceful grounds looking out onto the countryside. The interior was classy and modern and fabulous bedding too. Glenn & Ally were a stones throw away if you needed them. In all a great place to stay and will definitely return.

Super stay at Beth's Cottage.

Owners couldn't have been more helpful. In fact I'd go as far to say this was the most welcoming cottage we've ever stayed at. From the lovely welcome basket on arrival with lovely wine and fresh eggs, to the high standard and comfort of the accommodation. My only gripe is that we were only there 5 days! The surrounding area is also divine and there are so many beautiful villages to see. I'd like to especially thank the owners who even went so far as to send us on an item we'd left behind. We'll definitely return!

We had a lovely stay at Beth’s Cottage.

The owners have furnished with thought and care for comfort. The beds were so comfortable with good quality linens which not every cottage owner thinks about. The welcome pack was very much appreciated, the coffee, tea and wine went down a treat.

A quality holiday cottage with everything needed for a great break

A very well finished and well equipped cottage in a nice setting which was ideal for touring the area .

The paved garden was enclosed and has seating each side with seating in the sun for breakfast and on the other side the afternoon and evening sun was most enjoyable. The grounds were ideal for our spaniel to have a safe run and had great views over the moorland, in all a most enjoyable stay .

The property is beautiful, clearly a lot of care has been put into creating a lovely space for guests.

Everything was in perfect condition and of great quality, including very comfortable beds! Would definitely recommend staying and hope to return one day ourselves.

We recently spent a lovely weekend at Beth's cottage and couldn't have been happier with the property.

We met the owners (Ally & Glenn) who were great and couldn't do enough for us. They have created 3 wonderful cottages close to their own home, all of which are situated in large grounds. The design, decor and finish to the cottages is all spot on and Beth's cottage was a lovely place to stay. Any negatives are very minor and wouldn't stop me wholeheartedly recommending a stay here to anyone (especially if you have a dog or two). Some USB plug sockets would be good, as well as a hairdryer, but seriously that's about all we could think of as improvements. Easily one of the bet cottages we have ever stayed in. Thanks again Ally & Glenn!

We absolutely loved our stay at Beth’s College.

I got to meet Glenn, the owner and he was so friendly and lovely. They have worked really hard to make this place amazing. The cottage is stunning, with everything you need. They have thought of everything including reading glasses on the book case. Kitchen fully equipped and they have thought about enough glasses and even plastic plates for kids. Bedrooms are lovely and having your own en-suite is fab!! Very clean and the welcome pack with fresh eggs and other bits was excellent. The only one thing I can say is we couldn’t find a hair dryer and with 3 women on a girly weekend, this was needed. Thank you for our stay, I have recommended and we will be back.
